    Burrito plate
    Shasta S.

My favorite Mexican food place around here. I was having trouble finding a good place, and was so happy to find this one. We come here usually once a week or so. Their carnitas are delicious - I always get the tacos, sopes, or mulitas. Their birria tacos are good, but can get pretty soggy by the time I get them home (we have only ever had takeout, so I can't review the interior). They are always nice, I'll keep coming back. One thing is I wish they'd bring back their breakfast burritos and maybe also offer shredded beef as an option. I would love taquitos as a choice too.

    Me, eating the number 10.

I had a number 10, burrito plate, yesterday and it was very delicious. I made a video about it. Search for "Eating Authentic Mexican Food" or check it on my YouTube channel "The Bald German Goes Eating".

Variety of street tacos (shrimp, chicken, steak, chorizo) and chips & salsa and fresh veggies
    Melissa S.

Fast, friendly service and surprisingly low prices - we got 5 tacos for $11! They have a complimentary chips & salsa bar with fresh veggies, too. We ordered a variety of street tacos (chicken, steak, shrimp, and chorizo) and they came with a side of fresh lime and sautéed onions. All were good and fresh, but the chorizo was some of the best we've had! Skip Taco Bell - go here for super fresh Mexican food!

Also on the list was Los Agaveros, however, I looked and saw the Yelp rating (via Apple Maps) and opted for Rancho Cantina. I am so glad I followed Yelp's recommendation. I visited on a Monday evening and it wasn't too busy. They had wonderful mariachi playing and a big screen at the bar of the performance. I was told to sit wherever I wanted. I was given chips and salsa and a menu. The menu was huge. Lots of pages. So much to choose from, it looks like they serve it all. I went in expecting tex Mex but was pleasantly surprised. I got the Pechuga a la Plancha con Chorizo. It was down to either that or the Carne Asada. Since I always get carne adana I chose the Pechuga a la Plancha con Chorizo. I got Rice and beans, and corn tortillas. It came out very quickly. On a plate that was similar to fajitas. Sizzling and steamy. The smells coming off were amazing. The tortillas were home made and not store bought. The food was very good. The chicken was soft and cooked perfectly. The flavor was very good and I completely cleaned my plate. I will definitely return here. LaVergne is 2-0 on Mexican places now. Mexichina is very close by as well. I am well pleased.

So we stopped going. I love the seafood enchiladas, and the food is generally bomb, delicious, hot chips and sides, and great music. However, my most recent visit completely changed my opinion. One day, one of the servers added a tip to my bill without my permission. I only discovered this after receiving a notification from my debit card showing that the original amount had been updated to include a tip. I was immediately caught off guard, especially since I did not dine in--I went through the drive-thru. I waited for the restaurant to open so I could call and address the issue, as adding a tip without authorization felt like theft to me. When I called and asked to speak with a manager, the hostess or one of the waitresses hung up on me. I called back and could hear them laughing. I again asked to speak with a manager, and once again they laughed and hung up on me. I called the store several more times, and eventually one employee told me to call back between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m., then hung up on me again. When I finally spoke with a manager at the time I was given, she listened to my concerns and informed me that she would refund my entire order and speak with the employee who added the unauthorized tip. While I appreciate the refund, the way I was treated throughout this situation was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I was a loyal customer, and this experience made me feel taken advantage of. Thankfully, I have alerts set up on my debit card to notify me of any updates to purchases. It makes me wonder how many other customers may not notice unauthorized changes to their bills. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this restaurant, and I will be sharing my experience with others.

At this time of day, it's quiet, and attention is paid to the few tables in here. The service was quick, and the server was friendly enough. The food is cooked perfectly for me. The meat is tender, and the veggies still have a little crunch. The only fopa was asked for no rice(I don't eat rice), and I did mention it to the server. I did receive it on my plate, but it was quickly taken back and made correctly with a lot of apologies. (I'm going with force of habit ‍) I was going to go to another Mexican restaurant in town that I used to go to many years ago, but a friend said to try this place and I won't be disappointed. I'm not disappointed!! I will be back next time I'm passing through this way and want Mexican food.

We waited about 30 minutes for a table, which wasn't too bad all things considered. Our table of three split two pitchers of margaritas, they were only okay. Just your standard pre-mix stuff, nothing special. We ordered some guacamole with our chips and it was pretty tasty, but felt like it was lacking avocado. For dinner, I ordered a few chicken and chorizo tacos. The chorizo was good, but the grilled chicken was so bland. I tasted the tortillas and onion more than the chicken. Extremely underwhelming. Our server was great though and we didn't wait on refills of drinks or chips. I just wish the food was as good as the service.
