I am a Jersey Mikes fan and was so pleased when Lebo Subs opened up right near my work place. The subs are great and it is a quick place to grab lunch. My only complaint, and the reason for the 3 star rating is the staff. They are the most unfriendly group. They make no effort to be pleasant. Most of the time they talk and goof around among themselves right in front of the customers. I asked for black pepper on my sub and got a snippy response that they don't have pepper there. No salt and pepper? I asked. "Nope!" was the response. I find that hard to believe. I saw two shakers right there next to the condiments. Happy to discover a non-chain subs option in the neighborhood (I know Badamo down the street is awesome, but they're a bit limited in the traditional cold-cut department). Nice people, nice service, and good, solid food. The subs are $1-2 more than what I would look for in a place to visit more regularly, but I can't really argue with the spin these folks have taken on the Jersey Mike's formula. Meat's cut to order, toppings added as you wish, and the results were a winner at my place. Line was a little slow the day I stopped in, but that's because they were taking care of customers, not slacking and simply waiting out the timeclock. Menu and seating may be a little too limited for some, but I think there's enough of both here to give everyone an option that works for them. Pasta salad was an excellent side to add into the mix. I found Lebo Subs to be a great place to get a cold-cut old fashion sub. The subs are very filling and they use boars Head meats. The meat gets freshly sliced to order. Very excited to see such a quality upcoming business in my home town. Ordered the Chicken Philly and was not disappointed at all. All the ingredients are top notch and the flavor is authentic. This place had good reviews so I gave them a try-wrong move. We got the meat ball sub and Italian sub combos, which includes drink plus chips, homemade potato salad or pasta salad. The meat balls had zero flavor, no spices, no nothing. It tasted like straight ground beef that had been dropped on a hot plate. The sauce was just as bland. The bread was the best part. The Italian sub was better, giving the 2 star rating where the meat balls got zero stars. The Italian sub had freshly cut meats and cheese, and decent flavor. The "homemade " potato salad was also bland. After adding salt, pepper and a packet of mustard it was better. I've had better potato salad from walmart, much better. Oh yeah, the combos are half sandwiches not full sandwiches. My ticket was over $26 for both combos. Save your money and hit a subway where at least you get a mediocre sandwich. read more

We have been visiting Lebo Subs since it opened. Splitting a whole sub between 2 was more than enough in the past. Lately, we find there seems to be much less meat on the sandwich, yesterday I watched as only 2 thin slices of ham were cut. This is the 3rd time we thought the meat was much less. I'd eat here again in the area and looking for a sandwich, but I might just decide to get something else, other than a sandwich. I arrived about 11:45am and I was alarmed to see that I was the only one in the shop. Maybe it was early and a bit cold out so people were staying in but still, no one. I got the cold Italian, Jersey Style. I took their recommendations for the vinegar, oil, salt, pepper and oregano. It was tasty! The meat was sliced fresh. I enjoyed that! I really liked that they sliced the deli meat as they made the sandwich, but I found the bread to only be passable. This is a really good sandwich shop. I often crave their sandwiches and drive in to MtL and pay to park just to eat lunch here. Service is quick, the people are friendly, and the place is clean. What else can you ask for? A couple of suggestions: It's a tad bit expensive (the half Italian hoagie combo is $11!) And their "frequent visitor" program is confusing.
