I brought in some new sandals I purchased online without trying them on so they didn't quite fit right. I asked him if he could take in the strap on the sandal but he said since they were synthetic material and not leather, it wouldn't look good if he took it apart. But he gave me a great alternative with a lift that could be put in my shoe which worked perfectly and at a very reasonable cost! I walked out a very happy customer. And would not hesitate to go back again for any shoe repair needed!

I brought in three pairs of shoes, including one pair in a rare colorway that cannot easily be replaced. When I received them back, it appeared that parts of the shoes had simply been spray painted rather than properly restored. The quality of the work was unacceptable. What made the situation even worse was the lack of honesty and communication. The employee later told my husband that additional work had been discussed and completed, even though this was never communicated to me directly. We were also charged extra for services that were never clearly explained. Overall, this business was dishonest, unprofessional, and did not properly clean or restore my shoes. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for quality service or respectful treatment.

I had this crazy thing happen. I saw an old 60's chaise lounge at an estate sale. I had to have it but boy, was it ugly! Now, this thing was ridiculously big and I was almost embarrassed that I gave in to that crazy "gotta have it"15-second urge. I'd never done anything quite like this mostly because I just didn't have the expendable income or the inclination but... I did. Because of its large size, Dan made a special trip to assess it. Now he could have made comments like, "why would anyone want that monstrosity?" or "what was that lady thinking?" but he didn't. He was all about the positive energy vibe. He helped me find just the right material by sending stacks of upholstery sample books home with me. He was patient. He was encouraging. He became my upholstery shrink. When I finally decided on the perfect material, he assured me that it would be right (for me). It was and is. His workmanship is meticulous. He has an eye for detail and his work is beautiful. He saw the fun in this piece of furniture and made me a happy, crazy lady. I love it. But that's not all. I had one more thing to do... to get rid of my sweet Mother's dated decor. Now I love my Mom, but I couldn't abide the turquoise and coral any longer. It screamed the 70's at me and that just wasn't my favorite decade. Too much teenage angst and all that. Anyway, Dan took my great Aunt Lois' chair and turned it once again, into a beautiful chair. He set the print design thoughtfully and added decorative tacks like they did during the chair's heyday. Then... he made an extra deluxe wood box seat for those grand derrieres that need a comfortable place to light. He was lightning quick with his work every time. Oh my... his work is special. I was in a wedding…read moreand needed simple alterations taking in the sides and hemming the dress because it was too long. Both were done badly, and I paid $75 for it. The dress still wasn't cut short enough, and the hem was uneven, so I was tripping over it all night. Yes, I brought the shoes I planned to wear, so she knew exactly where the dress needed to be hemmed. While the sides were taken in decently, she failed to properly adjust the rest of the dress afterward. She also left marks on the material and never mentioned it when I brought it up. I spoke with another alterations place afterward, and they told me the issues should have been addressed and would have been an easy fix. Unfortunately, by the time I found out, I was out of time because of how long this place took for such poor-quality work. To make things even more uncomfortable, when I picked up the dress, she casually mentioned that she had almost ruined it on two separate occasions. That's not something you want to hear after paying for alterations. I'd strongly recommend going somewhere else.

That being said - the prices here vary. Customers with just about any and every budget can find all kinds of fun things here. From simple to fancy to ooooh la la - when it comes to clothes and fashion accessories here. They also have sidewalk sales which my wife can attest to is a source of some fantastic finds.
