We booked this venue for our October wedding and we had the most magical, memorable, life changing experience. Kim and Ray really take this wedding hosting thing to a whole new level. Their expertise, professionalism, and involvement in every detail is unmatched. And all paired with such a calm, cool attitude which could soothe the most explosive of volcanoes. Never have I seen such genuine care, and effort taken to ensure the happiness of the couples and their families who have chosen to celebrate their special days with them. The property is absolutely breathtaking. Having everyone stay onsite made for a really special time opportunity to bring our families together. Ray and Kim really do provide a beautiful setting and experience. One which encouraged strangers to become friends and friends to become family. As previously mentioned we cannot say enough good things about this venue, the people and the good vibes that were felt all around. Ray and Kim - welcome to our family!!

    We had an outdoor wedding with 100 guests planned for my daughter May 12, 2017 in Boone, NC. As…read morethe forecast grew more and more grim for that day, we had to make the decision to change venues three days before the wedding. I came across The Barn at Cornerstone and contacted Kim immediately. I was stressed and in full panic mode but as soon as I talked to her she began putting me at ease. She explained that although the Barn was not quite completed she would do anything in her power to help make this work. The day I visited her, the barn had no electricity. We talked through it and decided to rent a generator. The barn was still in progress but was already beautiful and rustic and I could envision something truly special there. Kim and her husband, Ray, worked tirelessly and two days later when we arrived to decorate and rehearse, the Barn not only had electricity but beautiful chandeliers were hung. We had a wonderful rehearsal dinner outdoors at the lodge that evening. The setting was gorgeous and the grounds were lovely. Ray continued working on the barn up until the afternoon of the wedding and Kim attended to every detail and also coordinated with my caterer. She took so much work and worry off my hands and allowed me to enjoy every moment. We ended up having the most beautiful, intimate wedding that evening. Rain fell heavy on the roof of the barn as they took their vows. It was absolutely magical. I know that once the barn is complete it will be one of the best venues around. There are beautiful venues everywhere but you will be hard pressed to find people like Kim and Ray. I cannot express my gratitude enough.

The views from the arena are a stunning backdrop for any bride and groom wanting have an outdoor ceremony. Inside the barn there are three defined spaces. The foyer with its high ceilings and comfy furniture welcoming you inside. This is also where the restrooms are located. They have two newly constructed restrooms with multiple stalls in addition to the two original ones. The venue provides tables and chairs and table coverings for your event. There's a built in rustic bar in the corner of the main event space where clients can have a hired bartender serving drinks of their choice. The facilities are set up for a catering company to bring in the food of the clients choice or your band/DJ to unload easily with large rolling door access on either end of the barn. I visited in February so the trees were bare but I can only imagine how gorgeous the space looks in the spring, summer and fall. We were told they host smaller meetings there being able to block off spaces for a more intimate feel or can seat up to 1500 utilizing the whole space.

Paula has such a sweet and welcoming spirit about her that immediately put us at ease. She showed us around the venue and ensured us that her and her team were there to make. it. happen! And they ABSOLUTELY DID! In truth, they were the one element of my wedding that was completely stress-free. There really isn't much more you could ask from your wedding venue. In typical form, it absolutely poured on our wedding day. Moving the ceremony inside made next to no difference because of the natural beauty of everything. It seamlessly incorporated the look of an outdoor ceremony with the convenience and comfort of an indoor ceremony. Our coordinator Bethany flawlessly navigated the last minute overnighted umbrellas ordered. They ended up being held at the local post office due to their weight. I found out late the night before our wedding and hurriedly texted her. True to form, she provided an immediate solution and had Paula's husband at the post office first thing the morning of the wedding to have them picked up. They just could not have been more willing or accommodating to what the event needed. Paula and Bethany truly were the backbone to our wedding! We worked with Taylor and she did an excellent job from start to finish. We had close to 150 guests on a Sunday afternoon. Parking was not a problem now that the parking lot across the street was finished. The menu that Taylor suggested was perfect. We had desserts and fruit along with cheeses etc. the carrot cake was to die for. Plenty of seating and very accessible even for all guests. This worked well for our family since some of my siblings are out of town. The only thing we brought with us were flowers for the tables. No clean up! We were able to stream music of our choice on their equipment. The venue was clean and was decorated great! My wife and myself have attended many weddings both in town and out of town at some very special places. I can tell you this space was among the best. The open bar we paid $1,500 consisted of a 1/2 keg, pony keg, and 100 margaritas that were in prob 8oz plastic cups and some wine. We were given money back for the wine that wasn't opened which was $150-170. The employees that ran the cocktail bars and food were nice and professional, but the management people were hateful and unpleasant.

Neither my daughter or I live in North Carolina so we had to travel. When I first reached out to the owner Nicole she was very pleasant and it made me feel comfortable to spend my money with her. She provided me all the details involved in my package and I was satisfied with the details and what I was getting for my money so, I locked in. Once locked in Nicole's communication changed. She took forever to respond back to my questions about decor and then proceeded to tell me we have plenty of time to go over decorations because my shower is in January and we will get tighter in December to discuss. I understood and tried not to bother her unless I had questions that needed to be answered from my caterer. December arrives and still nothing so o reached out and again I had to wait for a response. By this time I'm getting anxious because I have already paid the full amount for the for the event. When I did finally speak with her, I asked if we can have a Zoom meeting because I am from out of town to see what she had decorating wise, and she proceeded to tell me that she had not purchased the item yet, but she will have them the day of the shower that made me real uneasy. I contacted her on my way into town to inform her that I will be there and ask if I can come see the venue prior to the baby shower which was three days before and she told me that she would not be available until the morning of that again made me real uneasy because I didn't know what I was walking into. I was informed by my Caterer that she didn't even know what time the event started and she stated that she didn't realize it was that earl. I have never worked with a professional that I was unable to see the event space or the decorations and give my stamp of approval since I am the paying customer and this is my vision that they are bringing to life. On the day of the shower, I received a text message from Nicole that informed me that I can now come before 10 am at 9:15am. I replied back that I was going to be late and Nicole called me 30 minutes later to informed me she had left the venue and proceeded to give me instructions on Cleanup. I was in shock when she said she left because I had never met this woman. Once arrived I had trouble finding the venue because it's inside a building and she had me come through the back. The building has horrible reception and I issues with getting directions from Nicole without going outside because her venue is located on the basement. When I finally got down in the basement and saw the spot I was immediately disappointed. The decorations were lack luster. A lot of wall space that had not been covered with decorations. The table formula daughter and husband to sit at was barely decorated and I didn't care for it at all. I couldn't get anything to work until she finally provided me the WiFi and then only the music I was able to get to work, but I was able was unable to use the tv to do the slideshow of pics we discussed. The bathrooms are on the outside of the venue which isn't a problem unless you have a key which I didn't have and I had to keep asking the ladies across the hall for the key as they were trying to braid hair. No tissue in the rest rooms so we had to figure out who to ask. Had she waited around for my arrival to greet me as a paying customer and give me instructions and a tour in person things could've been a little better knowing your service sucks in a basement. Needless to say, I did not enjoy myself and I tried to keep my cool for my daughter's sake. I wanted this to turn out beautiful. We traveled way too far for mediocrity and I paid a good penny for her service that was very lackluster and unprofessional. I'm just now settling to write this review because I was so disappointed. I couldn't even talk to her when she decided to come at the end for clean up because I didn't want to make a scene and embarrass my child. This experience has put a bad taste in my mouth about planning an event out of state. I hate giving bad reviews, but this experience was horrible.
