WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS: We visited Leather Creations in Buford looking for a leather sofa and chairs. Yes, there is a store in Alpharetta but we were already in Buford so this location was more convenient at the time. This store is dangerous if you really love leather. It smells great, it looks great and there are a number of options available from which to choose. The items here are custom manufactured by Leather Creations so you can get exactly want you want. I love that! When it comes to the ideal sofa, there are a couple of features that are important to us: firm cushions, quality leather, and eight-way hand-tied construction, (the gold standard for quality). You can purchase a quality sofa that is well constructed without these features, but it can be challenging. Also, if the furniture is going to be in a very active area, you will want to get the highest quality possible. After visiting several stores, we decided that it was now time to get more specific. Rob was our leather specialist and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in describing the details related to construction, different types of leathers, cushions etc. He was able to answer all of our questions and helped us to develop a blue print for the specific sofa and chairs that we were considering. A purchase order was drawn up to give us an idea of the total cost and we took it and left. We don't usually purchase the same day because we really need time to review the contract and verify its content. This is a very important step that should not be skipped. One of the items I noticed on the contract was the inclusion of an accident protection fee, ($477). I have owned and currently own several pieces of leather and have never had an "accident" so this fee is not necessary. Also, I was surprised that they would simply add this fee without first speaking with the client and ASKING if they wanted to purchase the protection plan. Take your time and read that contract!!! Delivery time is five to six weeks and I always round up so it will probably be closer to eight weeks or two months. I really want my pieces ASAP because I currently have no seating in my family room. I also love the idea of purchasing a piece that is already constructed because if I don't like the way it looks in my space, I can easily return it. This is not likely with custom pieces. Luckily, every single furniture store is having a President's Day sale and that means this is a great time for furniture shopping. At this point, we will keep looking but Leather Creations is a great option for getting exactly what you want. read more

Confidence is important. In 2017 Leather Creations made a matching set of swivel/rocking recliners for us. One of them did not sit at an angle that pleased us. Leather Creations came back to our house and adjusted the chair until we were pleased. They even left extra cushion stuffing, should it be needed; this is 2022, and it has not been needed yet. In 2021 Leather Creations made a sofa for us. We had picked it from the catalog; the model in question was not on a floor anywhere in the Atlanta area. When it arrived, we were unhappy; the lines were not what we had expected, the angle of the seat was too steep, the cushions were softer than we expected. Leather Creations came back to our house, replaced the cushions with firmer ones, doing that temporarily modified the lines, not the angle of the seat. We tried for a few months but could not warm to it. Leather Creations came back to our house, took away the sofa, leaving a loaner sectional (about the same size, about the same color with the added feature of an electric recliner on either end). They ordered the same leather we had originally ordered, then remade our sofa. It was returned to us about seven weeks after it was taken. It was perfect. The lines are correct, the cushions are correct, the angle of the seat is correct. The way we have been treated, the extent to which we have been accommodated is correct. Confidence is important. We are confident in the abilities of the craftsmen at Leather Creations, and we are confident in the dedication the sales and support staff have demonstrated over the years. We appreciate their eagerness to make every aspect of the transactions correct. We are confident that you, too, can be confident when making your purchases from Leather Creations. read more

We called the store because the power was not working. The sales person was extremely helpful and friendly. Turned out to be an easy fix that we could do. Wow......what a store! We looked here for living room furniture and were impressed with the quality and look of everything we saw in the store. The furniture is made in Doraville, about 30 minutes away from the store and they use high quality leather. We wanted to buy American but one of the couches we sat on was over $8,000 dollars. Their prices range from expensive to super expensive. I am not knocking the store by any means......if we could afford to buy from here, we would. When all was said and done, we did not buy from the store due to the high prices. If you have the money and want custom furniture, then go here and buy a piece of furniture that will likely last for decades. We wound up over at Haverty's in the Mall of Georgia were we purchased the suite we liked and at a much cheaper price then we could have gotten at Leather Creations. We bought a small sofa about 1.5 years ago. As soon as we got it home we found it very uncomfortable and nothing like the sofa in the show room. So this begins our numerous trips back and forth from Dawsonville to their new store at the time in Alpharetta with our cushions. They blamed it on the Leather we chose (we chose their high end leather) saying it sits different then the leather on their showroom sofa? Then they admitted changing suppliers for the cushioning they used in our sofa which explained why it felt like we were sitting on over inflated beach balls. So they offered to exchange the older style cushioning from the showroom sofa to ours and we agreed to that (so we left the bottom cushions with them to have their delivery people do it?). It made a difference but still not what we anticipated, but acceptable (at this point we're getting tired of dealing with it). We are seniors and spend most of our time in FL so this is all happening over a little more than a years time. Now we notice one cushion is a different size than the others! Back again. We left it with them (for 2.5 months) to fix the problem. When we picked it up we were told they tweeked it???? They moved the stuffing around in it! The problem is very easy to notice as the stitching is off by more than an inch on one side of the cushion which causes it to look considerably lower than the other cushions, especially after sitting on it. The salesperson says it's not enough of a problem (actually says it's not different even after using a tape measure to show her) to require fixing? Nice! We also found what looks like a shallow cut about 1.5" on the surface which they say must have been there??? My wife is the only one that sits in it, we have many pieces of furniture we bought 40 years ago that are in amazing condition. Anyway, I welcome anyone considering buying from Leather Creations to come look at it and I guarantee you will not be impressed with their end product. Doesn't look or feel like a quality (expensive) piece of furniture. I believe they were making quality furniture at some point but something happened and the quality and service after the sale is poor at best! First time review, and this store deserves one. I had a bonded leather sectional from a chain store that needed replacement (dead cushions after 1 year, cracking and peeling after 3 years) and after researching how REAL leather furniture is constructed and how good and long lasting it can be, I was set on making the investment. A fine leather furniture dealer near me had several premium brands to choose from, however none of them had the particular L-shape configuration I was seeking. I was losing hope but then found Leather Creations by finally Googling "Custom leather furniture Atlanta." I drove over an hour away to check them out after seeing they had exactly what I wanted on their website. Time to see if their leathers and construction were up to what the Internet told me was the way to go. I met with store manager Greg Epps who was very friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. He educated me on the history of the company as well as their construction and leather options available. LC is the real deal - right up there in the ranks of all the classic, big name North Carolina furniture crafters. Having the ability to try before buying was of paramount importance - I saw they had the Santa Monica on display, the sectional I was interested in. It looked great and was very, very comfortable. I was sold once Greg showed me the production tag revealing this piece was almost 10 years old - a true testament to its quality by being on display for nearly a decade, it has worn very nicely. I sat on every variation of cushioning and suspension they offer and brought home several leather swatches to see what would work for the color scheme. A week later, I submitted a deposit and within 8 weeks, accepted delivery of an amazing new sectional. Truly a remarkably well made product, my gratitude to the whole crew. In an industry dominated by chain stores and cheaply crafted imports, LC is that diamond in the rough. The sectional came at a hefty price, but I see where it went and I'm very thankful that they crafted this new flagship living room piece that will be enjoyed for many, many years to come. read more

If you live near the store and do not require delivery you may end up better than I have. I purchased two high end sofas and paid for the 'white glove delivery' service because I am in the Army and have moved. The company stated that would be no problem as they have white glove delivery. I chose to believe them which was my first mistake. It has been well over a month since my furniture was picked up by the delivery service and am still without my order. The delivery company which leather creations has chosen to conduct business with is an extension of their business and they have failed to deliver my furniture. I am absolutely exploring a refund as I have not even received the furniture and most likely will not be receiving the furniture because the delivery service is incompetent. DO NOT BUY FROM LEATHER CREATIONS IF YOU REQUIRE DELIVERY! NOT TO BE TRUSTED. I have been lied to continuously throughout this process by Metropolitan Warehouse and Delivery which is the company Leather Creations contracts delivery to. If you look up that delivery company you will read all of the negative reviews. If Leather Creations is a standard bearer within the industry then why use the lowest bidder for your delivery service? This has been an abhorrent experience and I hope you make a better choice than I did. If you are thinking about having anything delivered from Leather Creations please rethink and reevaluate your options as there are better furniture companies out their with a better service record for delivery. This is one of the biggest pieces of crap we own. We bought a small sofa that has an electronic recline. We had to replace one of the 2 recliner motors less than 2 years after we purchased it & we've had the sofa for a total of 3 years now. It is uncomfortable and rickety. The leather quality is decent, but the quality of the frame, design and electronic mechanisms is total junk. I will never buy another leather creations sofa again. read more

We purchased a L shaped sofa and reclining chair from Leather Creations. We thought this would last for years. We have had it for four months and the seat cushion and back of sofa and chair are sagging. We paid for a warranty on all our furniture too. We have been trying for weeks to have something done.. We are getting the run around. Don't trust them and don't expect service if something goes wrong. I could have bought a car for what I spent on this furniture and for them not to be coming out and fixing the problem needs to be told to those before you purchase from this company. We have called several times and even gone back to the store, which our sales person told us it is out of her hands. Really? Why did I buy from you if you don't stand behind the service and furniture. We called again yesterday, so stay tuned to see if we ever get this satisfactorily resolved. The last I heard was they would order new foam for inside the cushions for us to put in. Really? The whole sofa and chair for what we paid? We are going to have to stuff it ourselves. I purchased a sofa, chair 18 years ago. Loved it for many reason especially the comfort of the cushions. They were made of goose down feathers and very high quality. I recently spent over 8000. On a sectional and I hate it! The cushions are made of nothing more than cheap foam and are sinking already. On the day of my purchase I even gave them a referral telling the customer nothing compares to leather creations product. Wish I could take it back once I got my furniture. In March 2013, I went into this store because I had a friend that purchased a store that I felt in love with. I order the same sofa with the exception of the legs. When my sofa arrived and I sat on it I knew immediately that something was wrong. I called the store immediately and the run around began. Two months later, they came and pick up my sofa. However, I have been in an email war because they are trying to convince me the slight height in the legs is causing the sofa to sit very uncomfortable. Then I told by the tech when he arrived that something was definitely wrong. The I received an email that the sinking sensation is caused by extra padding and the cushions. I have lost confidence and trust in this company. They are standing behind their "No Refund" policy and trying to convince me I have a life time of service calls. But who wants to deal with making service calls on a $3000 sofa. I just not have to deal with tis on something of such high quality. The customer service I received was not satisfying because regardless of what I say they are sticking to their leg issue and No Refund. I would never recommend purchasing a piece of leather furniture from this store, because once they make it - its yours regardless of your decision that something is wrong. My girlfriend purchase the same sofa and it is very comfortable and that is why I purchased it, so I have a reference on how the sofa should feel. But because its them against me, I am stuck with this and if I need service calls I will have to take off work because their time is not flexible to mine and they do not have Saturday hours. So the lesson is I will not buy if a company can not refund especially when they had to make repairs on a 2 month brand new $3000 sofa - DON'T DO IT.
