I purchased a vehicle out of state, trusted the process with this dealership and they tried to pretty much rob me of $2000 on my sale price and when asked why, I never got a real answer. First it was for shipping and then it was for "extras" to wash and wax the car.... So after redoing paperwork and paying to overnight the new contract I was now waiting for my vehicle to be delivered. Without any notice or paperwork my car shows up at my house on the back on a trailer. Driver had nothing for me, I never signed anything or showed him my ID. He didn't even have my phone number. I spent 10 hours wondering what was going on with my car, totally unacceptable. Upon receiving vehicle, it has MULTIPLE issues, some being safety items. I contacted dealership and they pretty much laughed. Oh and they also never reached out to me to make sure I received my vehicle and now I know why.. needless to say I am contacting the Attorney General of Virginia. I wish I had seen these reviews prior to buying from these criminals. I was in too big of a hurry to replace our totalled car that I didn't do my due diligence. I was told there was a minor accident and cosmetic damage to the Audi Q5 we purchased, and that the car report was clean. In truth, the car had been in a massive accident 2 years early and purchased at auction as a total salvage. The frame had been poorly wielded and the sub-floor cracked in multiple places. According to the mechanic who was doing work on the car, it's not even safe to be on the road, and now it's a total loss to me. The car had the engine light on, bald tires and it wasn't all the way clean inside. okay no problem. Prior to him buying the car they told him that someone put the wrong gas in the car that's why the light is on. That was a lie. So after he purchased the car he took it back maybe a week or two later so they can get the light off. Something that was supposed to take one day, ended up taking 4 months. They had the car for a couple of days, every time we called for an update they would spin us in circles. Finally someone had the courage to tell my boyfriend that it's not the gas, it's an o2 sensor. They only told him after we showed up in person. They said that they were going to order the part, it should take about a week and when it arrives they will fix the car. Okay cool. we left and after a week we called them back and they just kept saying they will call us back and they never returned our calls. i'll say a good month passed before we got the update that the o2 sensor arrived and we had to go in person to get that update. Told us to bring the car in and that it would be fixed in a weekend. another lie, we left the car there for about a week and when we kept calling for updates, they would just say they will call us back and never did. They replaced the o2 sensor and the engine light is still on. Now we have to come out of pocket to fix it. It's so many other details (they lost the key to the car and tried to lie about it) but please save yourself the headache and just skip this place all together. I purchased a 2018 Volvo S 90 with 59,000 miles on it from lease return center in Dumphries Virginia on January 8 for $24,000 on January 11. The car had to be towed back to the dealership per me and Joe's conversation he stated that I should take the vehicle to Volvo dealership. I stated to him that the vehicle was on the way back to his dealership. The car was at his dealership on Friday, January 11 I reached out to them every week via email and phone call. He stated that I will be given a loaner vehicle on the following Wednesday which I never received as the weeks go on. They stop responding to my emails and put me on long hold on the phone after while the phone would just hang up I would try to call back and no one would answer I'm assuming they have caller ID, finally I got off of work and went to the dealership and they said that they are doing me a favor because I purchased the vehicle as is and that I did not have an #Warranty so they were doing the work for free fast-forward to today they had my car for a total of 37 days they could not show me a invoice of what was performed on the vehicle. I had the vehicle tow 7 miles away from the dealership to authorize Volvo mechanic specialist and he stated to me that the vehicle is a lemon the engine has metal shavings in it the vehicle only had 3 quarts of oil. The auxiliary battery was dead so he could not pull information from the computer, and also that the state inspection was done illegally mechanic also stated in the state of Virginia when selling a vehicle as is that they are required to give me at least 72 hour warranty, which I never received after the mechanic gave me a bill with what needs to be done and it needs a new engine and a new computer for the vehicle, none of these issues were stated to me on the data. I purchased the vehicle when I left the dealership the vehicle was driving fine. The red brake light came on the dealer had the vehicle for extra three hours, and stated that the module went bad so they were going to order another one which they never did. This experience has gone from bad to worse. I went to a local tire shop to get the back right tire checked as there was what appeared to be a small leak in the tire. It turns out the tire is about to blow. The wire mesh under the rubber is showing on the inside of the tire. This is very concerning a dealership would sell a car with suspect tires. Especially, when I specifically asked Ryan on the phone if the tires were in good condition and he ensured me they were. I would never buy from this dealership. Way too risky and dangerous. Who knows what else I wasn't told/informed of. Unfortunately, this experience started out as a good one and slowly turned into a sour one. Some of the reasons, which I will get to, were of my own doing. First off, this was a long distance purchase, which is why I ultimately take blame. Ryan was rather easy to work with initially. He was not ver forthcoming with some of the issues my car has...again, not completely his fault because he does not have to disclose all problems with the car bit it would have been nice. The two main ones that I have found so far is the alignment of the front passenger door which then got me looking a little deeper into and the car was definitely in an accident. Now, I'm not saying it's his job to disclose this but I do believe it's the ethical thing to do. Second one, are the scratches on the front passenger seat. There are many. While I didn't care for the lack of friendliness or inattentiveness on my salesman, Ryan's part, everything else went fine. When I found out that while the brake pads on the vehicle were new and the car passed MD inspection, the rotors, front and rear, were shot, I contacted Maurice. He said that he would replace them, which he did. Only problem is the car started making a noise after I left, while applying the brakes. After several trips to the dealership (car is still under warranty) it has been determined that apparently the materials they used are so cheap, that this is causing the noise. My dad and I just left this dealership literally an hour ago and I couldn't wait to leave a review because this is the worse dealership I have ever been to. I worked at Mercedes Rolls Royce BMW in Raleigh NC so I hold any dealership to a high standard but I have been to multiple dealerships used and new but I have never been to a dealership where the employees don't greet you immediately when you get there. I left Premier maybe 30 minutes prior and as soon as I got out of my car I was greeted but not at Lease Return Center. We walked around the car lot for about 30 minutes looking for two BMW's I saw online that I liked and not one person came and spoke with us. I can't forget online it states they open at 9:30 and we got there at 9:45 and they weren't open that's how I went to Premier then had to come back to Lease Return. My dad looked at them through the window still they didn't come out so I guess they didn't want to get paid or something. If I could give a negative review I would but unfortunately I can't! Oh they also didn't respond to either of my two messages I sent referencing the two vehicles I was looking into either. My experience with this "dealership" has been worse than Horrible. First contact was about a BMW 435 I was interested in. Maurice initially was OK at best, but after seeing the Carfax I decided against this vehicle and instead wanted info on a BMW 335 that was also showing on Autotrader. After numerous attempts to request info on the 335, Maurice FINALLY called me and argued with me quite rudely about my decision change on the 435. Then he told me abruptly ...the 335 is sold. End of conversation. Guess what...a week later I get a notification from Autotrader about a price drop on the 335 that was supposedly "sold." Called about it and after no answers on the phone over several days...finally Ryan answered. He was not much better than Maurice. Said he would send the Carfax on the 335 which of course he never did. How are they still in business? Difficult and distasteful to deal with, liars, and snotty/argumentative. They should not be allowed to "run a business". They have no compunction about what they say to you. How they got any 5-star reviews is very questionable...perhaps they paid people to write good reviews about them. At this point if they were giving cars away free I wouldn't deal with them. I would like to share my experience after I purchased my car at Lease Return Center. I was working with Ryan, who provided temporary plates for my car. I had a hard time to get my permanent license plates, as Ryan and their office were ignoring my messages and calls for a week. I didn't get the license plates until after the temporary license plates expired. Police stopped me because of the expired temporary tags and made me leave the car and take an Uber. Also Ryan told me to come back to the dealership to check the brakes on my car as they were making some noise. However nobody answered my messages or returned my calls. I then received two texts from him. I figured that it was him calling back to apologize for how I was treated. IT. WAS. NOT. Instead, I'm reading a text from him disparaging me and threatening to sue me! (In my original review, I attached a screenshot of my call log to LRC, and of the texts between Maurice and I, with his personal number redacted. I'm also going to attach to this review the texts I just received, again, with the number redacted.) Now, I've been a rideshare (Uber and Lyft) driver for over 5 years. I have financed - and paid off - three cars during that time (two of the loans was with Ally Financial). To say to me that it's "not my fault bank doesn't want to loan to an Uber driver" is insulting and absolutely untrue! To threaten to sue me because I posted the screenshots as evidence to what I said falls flat on its face - one, I didn't include any personal information; and two, I didn't publish his private number. Their definition of a "detail" is a good wash and shine of the outside of the vehicle and not the inside - very disappointing. Although they offer a 3 month warranty, they do not give you a loaner vehicle while they diagnose and fix the problem. My husband had to wait four hours at the shop for them to determine to replace a tire (plugged twice). If you're looking to buy a car, run far from Lease Return Center. By far the most unprofessional dealership. Maurice Skinner could not have been more arrogant even if he tried. As we were waiting for paperwork, Maurice gets a phone call from a potential customer to whom he was incredibly rude and aggressive towards, and proceeded to lie about his name, calling himself "David". That dishonesty should have been a sign, but we continued none the less. He shows us the carfax which would be great if it had all the information. They forgot to show us the Auto Check that every dealership gets which discloses police reports on the vehicle, something the carfax did not show. Proceeding with the deal, we mentioned our concern about a decently sized chip in the paint, to which he responded by saying he'd order the paint "right away" and "before leaving the dealership." A week passes with no word from Maurice, which warrants a phone call to him, where he says he still hasn't ordered it. It took two weeks to get something that he swore up and down that would be a next day thing. Upon receiving the paint, Maurice informs me that I need to get an emissions test before he orders the tags, something he seemed to have forgotten to mention when the car was purchased. Had it been mentioned when the transaction was happening it wouldn't have been that big of a deal as they are cheap, but it happened three weeks after the fact. We tell him that the emissions was done, and he tells us that's all he needs from us and that he will order the tags immediately, and tells us that the dealership will call when the plates and tags are in. A week later I have to call the dealership to ask about the plates as there are five days until the temporary plates expire, to which I'm told they were never ordered. But was promised plates for today. After a FOURTH trip to this awful dealership, Maurice arrogantly asks when the temporary plates expire, to which I responded on the 6th of this month. To which he responds "fine, I'll go check in the back", where the plates mysteriously appeared. This man and this dealership is the epitome of awful customer service. Sure the prices are decent enough, but no price is good enough to make up for the lies Maurice spewed at us over the past month. When I took the car back home I learned from my mechanic that none of the "under the hood" repairs and maintenance was completed - the only items done were those on the outside of the car that I could visually confirm with my eyes. In total $1,600 worth of agreed upon repairs and maintenance was not completed and I was not informed of this when I went to pick up the car. I bought a used Rav-4 last month from Maurice, a very charming and friendly salesman. We went over the Carfax report on his computer and everything seemed fine. When I got home and read a printout of the report he had given me as I was leaving, I saw the car had been in an accident and sustained "structural damage." I soon learned that used cars are not returnable FOR ANY REASON. Calls to Maurice went to voicemail. Long story short: the car turned out to be okay despite the report. It was checked out by two different mechanics here (I live hours away) who said the damage had been minimal.
