This happened a few years ago. Two brand new dresses,(never worn) ,of mine went mysteriously missing. LacI did her absolute darnedest to try and figure out where they may have ended up but, to no avail. I was able to replace them thankfully and Laci reimbursed me. Absolutely 5 star service! These guys took on a designer purse cleaning no one else in the area would and my mom is sooooo pleased with the results! She can't believe they were able to get her (6 year old) bag as clean as they were! Great value too for the amount of work that was needed! I saw folks with regular clothing and comforters being picked up as well when I was in the shop for drop off and pick up so I know the community trusts them with everything. Great place! I take all my stuff there to get cleaned. We used to go to Julian's, Town & Country, Staubs... but so far, we like Leary's the best. Parking lot can be a bit dicey to get out of if you need to head towards Pittsford, especially during peak traffic hours. The counter staff is always quick & efficient, I've never had to wait too long for pick up and drop off. Most definitely worth checking out if you value your clothing! read more

Do not trust your expensive items to this business. The instructions clearly stated that buttons are to be covered. This was done in previous years, but not this time. The red tag was attached about a stain that was noticed, but the associate didn't inform me of it. I had to go back and ask about it. Telling me that "it should have worked" is not helpful. It's basically across from the flagship Wegmans it's not exactly easy to cross the road in the car to get to them, but if you want a better choice of dry cleaners go here. It's got it's own small parking lot, the inside is non de script and the staff is pretty no nonsense, they are pleasant but they have better things to do than make small talk and that's fine. Ok for the first time in years a dry cleaner got off an old stain no joke... It was on a dress shirt of my husband's I was completely blown away. Sure they are a little more expensive than others but they do a fabulous job. I have taken my cashmere sweaters, down comforter and etc here. Worth every penny. read more

I am a customer who has used this cleaner several times and always had a good experience. Today, I walked in with two huge bags of clothes for cleaning and received the worst customer experience ever. It was very concerning. The attendant was so rude. She kept telling me they were closing 20 minutes as if I was bothering her. Her demeanor was extremely nasty as I asked her very simple questions. I left after she insulted me for asking why she was being so rude. I took my bags to their competition across the street who greeted me warmly. The owner even fixed a button on my jacket for free on the spot. Leary's lost my business. Sad. read more

They've been a fixture on Monroe Avenue for years, and have consistently provided superlative dry cleaning and laundry service. The location is very convenient, and the quality of the work is very fine. I particularly like the way they laundry my shirts. I wear a lot of French cuffs, and they always press them on the right side ( you'd be amazed at how many cleaners press them backward). They also do really good dry cleaning. After you spend a certain amount of money they give you a coupon; sort of a reward system. It's always a nice surprise to get your coupon, good on your next order. I picked up my daughter from college recently. I needed to take her comforter to get cleaned before it went into storage for the summer. I dropped off the comforter and noticed some of the seams were starting to come undone, but didn't think anything of it. Later, I got a call from Leary's telling me they noticed the seams coming undone too and told me that could cause problems with the dry cleaning process. They set up the comforter to be taken care of by the seamstress. Unfortunately. we were due to fly home and didn't have the time to get it sewn. They were still able to dry clean the comforter by pinning the seams during the process. All was good. I appreciated the care they took to check the comforter and advise me of the potential problems. read more

I recently took some items to be cleaned at Leary's for the first time as the cleaners I've used for years, is shit down due to mechanics issues. After picking up the items, my husband realized that they charged $70 to clean sheets! My other cleaner charges $12 - it appears Leary's is COVID charging! Never again!! read more

My first encounter with Leary's was when I thought the future of dry cleaning was carbon dioxide. I was searching for an early adopter. I hadn't done any real research on CO2 - I had just read an article that suggested it was an effective and environmentally friendly process. I admit that I should have looked into it more, but I decided it was enough to know that while I don't fear CO2, I've had uneasy moments wondering how dangerous the standard dry cleaning chemicals are. The item I wanted to dry clean was a down pillow, so I was thinking seriously about the safety angle. When I called Leary's the owner actually took the phone and spoke with me. I could not believe the depth to which he'd researched the CO2 process. He had even experimented with it before rejecting it. He explained all of the drawbacks inherent to the CO2 process, detailed the process he uses instead and those he avoids and why, and offered numbers to support his assertions that his favored process minimally impacts the environment and does not pose a danger to the person who wears the dry cleaned clothes. That discussion alone impressed me - and then he started speaking on the subject of cleaning pillows, explaining the process from start to finish. I had no idea that cleaning a pillow was so involved and destructive (to the pillow). After his explanation, I was certain that 1) it would be best to chuck the old pillow and buy another, and 2) Leary's would be my dry cleaner from now on. I was struck by how committed the man was to his business, making it as green as possible, and ensuring that the clothes are minimally stressed during the cleaning process. I've had all good experiences with Leary's. They accept a wide variety of materials, and the staff is careful to evaluate the material type and the stains I indicate. I like their professionalism, and I don't worry about entrusting my garments into their care. Everything has come back clean, crisp and looking good. Leary's handles a seemingly huge volume of business, but I've never had to contend with a crowd. I think that's partly due to their efficiency, but it probably also owes a bit to their generous hours of operation, which have enabled me to clean items more frequently. I recently brought Leary's some older and more delicate garments for cleaning, and I was very impressed with the quality of service. Had telephoned beforehand and spoke with one of the managers, who kindly promised to look after these items. When I brought them in, he checked them individually to determine whether wet- or dry cleaning would be suitable in each case. They saved an old, neglected lace and acetate dress that had belonged to my mother (and that happened to have been her wedding dress, post WWII). For one older coat, the buttons were removed and then replaced. This was a detail that I wouldn't have thought to ask about---and it's great to know there are people in this business who care that much about quality work. I will definitely come back to Leary's with other garments that I cannot leave with my local cleaners. And, I guess it's important to mention: if you bring more delicate items, you probably shouldn't ask for one-day or rush service. They handle a very high volume of business. When I drop off more items this summer, I'll give them plenty of time! read more

on a two week vacation, and the kids and wife started running out of their favorite clothes. Needed to do laundry, but did not want to spend the day doing it ourselves and waste half a day. called a few places, and this gave us the best feel. Tried it out and it was great. Dropped it off before 10:00am and got it back around 4:00pm. Perfect. Prices reasonable and clothes were clean. Family was happy again and we didn't waste a day. read more
