I didn't want my son eating too much frozen food, so I'm very glad that he enjoys the meals there. More importantly, he is happy, and that's all we really need!

There appeared to be a high level of staff turnover, including multiple changes in directors and co-directors during my children's enrollment. Consistency in staffing is very important in a childcare environment, and this raised concerns for me. One particularly serious incident involved my 9-month-old being fed another child's breast milk. I became aware of this only because I personally witnessed it, and it was not proactively communicated to me by staff. This situation significantly impacted my trust in the facility's procedures and oversight. Additionally, access to the classroom cameras was limited to approximately 20 minutes per day, which did not provide adequate transparency or reassurance. I also experienced frequent early closures, with the daycare closing around 4:00 PM despite advertised hours extending to 6:00 PM, which created ongoing inconvenience. Additionally, I had concerns regarding communication from the director, Noah. There were instances where I found the information provided to be inconsistent, which affected my trust. I also experienced situations where staff members were instructed to contact me directly when my daughter was having difficulty being managed, rather than those concerns being communicated clearly and professionally through leadership. The director also instances where I was asked to leave work to pick up my child when she was reportedly difficult to manage. I found these requests to be frequent and not always handled with clear communication or appropriate support within the facility. I do not intend to discredit the positive reviews; however, I have noticed that many higher-rated reviews do not provide specific examples to support why they believe the facility merits a rating above one star. can provide additional detail regarding my concerns if necessary. I have also shared my experience on platforms such as Yelp and local Facebook groups, and licensing as I feel strongly about the issues I encountered during my time with this daycare under its current leadership and staff. After reflecting on the reviews that have been posted, I do believe that concerns related to the water filters, early closures at 4:00 PM, and ongoing staffing challenges are accurately represented. It only takes one thorough and well-documented review to encourage accountability and, hopefully, meaningful improvements within an organization. Based on my experience, I would not feel comfortable investing my hard-earned money in this daycare, given the level of care and service that was provided. Especially if your work schedule is after 4 pm . Which were unexpected closers that you will find out the day of during morning drop off or they have monthly meeting were they close at four as well . I also have concerns regarding management oversight. In my experience, there appeared to be a lack of alignment and consistent communication between the manager, Livia, and the director, Noah, which raised questions about overall leadership and operational effectiveness. I hope my review helps you make your decision. I love a good detailed review . Especially as parent we have to advocate for our children. This child care needs and will be Reviewed by licensing hopefully sooner than later .

We came across The Farmhouse School, and I was so excited. The philosophy is exactly what I hoped to find- Play-based, a focus on social emotional wellbeing, open-ended exploration, and great family support. My son had only been with me for his first three years of life, and I wasn't sure how he would take to being away from me, but he's done amazingly well so far. He is excited to go, and even asks to go on the weekend. He always has a big smile on his face while we head to school, and he tells me about how he plays with his friends at pickup. The teachers are all lovely and warm, and are very compassionate. They understand how to work with children and families to ensure the transition from home to school goes well. I can't say enough about the school. It's great, and I wish there were more schools like this in the area so more children could experience what best practices are for this age group!

Some favorite components of the school for my daughter was the rotation of exploratory areas and touch areas. For example, some weeks they have a big bin of leaves and other weeks they have interesting beads, or water play. Some weeks there are tables with writing with interesting things or ways to write your name or guess the smell in the cup. There is even a quaint writing center and student mailboxes for sharing letters. An important component is outside play everday no matter the weather. They have a wonderful outdoor play space complete with garden and live chickens. One of the most important aspects of the school is the teacher interation with the students. For ex: When students are telling a story, the teacher is writing down what they are saying or writes down titles or explanations of the artwork created by the students. The preschoolers feel respected and love that their ideas are seen as important. Last year the students were interested in collectively creating a bug hotel, they worked on this project all year. The teachers helped the students generate lists of what the hotel needed and they were continually creating collaboratively. For a few weeks the students were interested in doing a play so the teachers started writing down their script ideas and in a few days at pick up all the parents got to watch a very charming preschool production on the back porch. When you are thinking about a place to start your child's education, Farm house is a wonderful, creative, and kind place to start.

Our experience with this daycare was extremely concerning and unfortunately very short-lived…read more Within the first week (my child only attended four days), there were multiple safety incidents involving classroom doors that children were able to open. On the second day, I received a call that my child had opened the classroom door and exited into the hallway. Staff told me they were changing a diaper and didn't notice right away. Thankfully he was found quickly and had only made it to the first lobby door. When I picked him up shortly after, a staff member told me he had attempted to open the door several times within about 15 minutes. I asked what I could do to help prevent this from happening again and was told there was nothing needed from me and that staff would just remain on "high alert." I was also told that the center had discussed changing the door handles before but had not done so. A few days later, I received another call that my child had exited the classroom again while the class was cleaning up and only one teacher was present because the other teacher was on break. Earlier that same day there was also an incident where the children were outside playing and my child was able to walk to another classroom door and open it before being redirected. During the phone call about the second incident, the director stated that while they could redirect behaviors like not wanting to sit during circle time or meals, my child opening doors was "too much" for them to handle. She suggested we find another childcare provider and recommended a home daycare where there would be more one-on-one attention. This was confusing because the class only had about six students. What was frustrating is that all of the behaviors they raised concerns about were things we **fully disclosed during the tour before enrolling**. We explained that our child had never been in daycare before, does not talk yet, does not always follow verbal commands, and had recently discovered how to open doors. At the time we were reassured these were common toddler behaviors and that staff would redirect and work with him. There were also inconsistencies in the information we received. During pickup after the second incident, one teacher told me the situation happened while he was in her care, while earlier the director had told us a different teacher was responsible at the time. We were also told about an additional door incident that day but never received an incident report for it. I completely understand that teachers are responsible for supervising multiple children and cannot focus all of their attention on one child. However, when staff acknowledge that doors are not childproof and a child is able to open them multiple times within only a few days of attendance, that raises serious concerns about safety and preventative measures. Ultimately, we were advised by the director to find another childcare provider. We will be doing that and hope to find a program that is more willing to work with toddlers who are adjusting to their first daycare experience.

It has been so obvious how much they truly care for every kid. The state of the property can only be described as "magical". The children have the opportunity to play and learn outside, gardening, taking care of animals, and learning real-life skills through play. Our son has grown academically, learning to read and write...as well as just as a person - learning patience, sharing, regulating his emotions, etc. They also focus on healthy foods and habits and teaching a good foundation for how to take of your body and the earth. Something that matters a lot to me in addition to all the other things is cleanliness. The property inside and out is extremely well cared for and safe. All kids wash their hands on arrival and many times throughout the day - and they always keep parents in the loop if something is "going around". I would recommend Village Learning to anyone who wants a magical upbringing for their kids...a true home away from home for them.

Everyone is so nice and has so much experience! They do so many activities such as sensory activities (playing with jello), painting with hands and feet, looking at mirrors, reading books together, looking at lights and different shapes and lines, tummy time, etc! My little one is only three months old and he's already done all of these activities! And at three months he's already flipping! Not sure if all these activities triggered his early milestone or if it's because he's a pandemic baby and they're built different but he's flipping everywhere from left to right at three months and is already trying to crawl! Highly recommend this place. All staff wear masks and they sanitize the whole area everyday and wash blankets weekly. Of course swaddling is not allowed due to SID and also it goes against their licensing but my baby went from 10-30 min naps to 1 hour naps and got on a schedule which made my life a lot easier!
