I am particularly impressed with how the caregivers and teachers take a genuine interest in the progress and lives of each of the children in their class. Whenever I've had questions, the Orchards Director has been easy to reach and prompt in her responses. The classrooms have been recently renovated and are kept clean. There is a good variety of age appropriate and safe toys in all of the classrooms. Security is well maintained with video monitoring, keypad access to facilities and fenced outdoor play areas. I love the phone application that they use for the secure check in and out procedure, as well as the photo updates throughout the day. Their Junior Kindergarten class is quite robust in its educational curriculum. The lead Junior Kindergarten teacher has been teaching young students for over 20 years, I believe. I'm honestly impressed at the progress my four year old has made behaviorally and educationally. They also have done a great job at offering events throughout the year. Kids Christmas program, picture days, Easter egg hunts, "pumpkin patch" etc. I couldn't recommend the Orchards more.

At…read morefirst I chalked it up to him getting familiar with the new routine and a new school but he never adjusted. He also talked about how afraid he was of the teacher Mrs Janelle. And one time even the teacher admitted to us that she let our child struggle to take the cap off a marker for over an hour and not helping him or letting him do anything until he did it, but he never was able to. Now that we've been out and into another school for a long time we realize how miserable our child was at this school, since he loves his new school and actually looks forward to going every day. The teachers are far too strict and cold towards the children and it was not a good fit for us. A few odd things. It was against school rules to ever allow parents inside the classroom except once a month by appointment. And also at one point the school had their full day license suspended or taken away. So they could not watch kids for more than a couple hours. We never got an explanation why, and at this point we took our child out of the school. I think most parents did the same thing.

Ms. Janell is nice but firm with the kids. She won my son's respect together with love. Her transparent and prompt communication about whatever happened with the school also earned my trust. I would recommend the school to other parents. However, if you expect your kids get spoiled , being held all the time and getting whatever they want in any condition, then this is not the place for you!

It has been so obvious how much they truly care for every kid. The state of the property can only be described as "magical". The children have the opportunity to play and learn outside, gardening, taking care of animals, and learning real-life skills through play. Our son has grown academically, learning to read and write...as well as just as a person - learning patience, sharing, regulating his emotions, etc. They also focus on healthy foods and habits and teaching a good foundation for how to take of your body and the earth. Something that matters a lot to me in addition to all the other things is cleanliness. The property inside and out is extremely well cared for and safe. All kids wash their hands on arrival and many times throughout the day - and they always keep parents in the loop if something is "going around". I would recommend Village Learning to anyone who wants a magical upbringing for their kids...a true home away from home for them.

I highly recommend Village Learning to any parent/child!!

Awesome playground. My kids love the variety of things to do on this playground. My daughter ran…read morethe entire time, from one play structure to another. She just wanted to try it all as fast as she could. Different areas for kids of different ages. The playground's icon is a 25-foot-long colorful caterpillar climbing sculpture. Kids can climb, exercise their fine and gross motor skills, and really feel their accomplishment as they climb to the nose of the caterpillar. All play areas have adjacent paths for continuous easy movement. The colorful park has a tree and meadow motif, with plants and creatures depicted in the equipment and the poured-in-place rubber surfacing. The playground includes features designed to encourage healthy physical development, such as slides, swings, spinners, and climbing rocks, as well as nontraditional playground activities designed for sensory development. The playground is divided into three areas: One play area focuses on early childhood, one focuses on children ages 5 to 12, and one is easily used by both groups for climbing, swinging, spinning and sliding. Children can play anywhere on the playground, but the design allows younger children to play independently from older children. The early childhood areas feature equipment that helps young children develop balance, coordination, social skills, and imagination. They can climb on a sculpted ladybug, and spin in an Omni Spinner and on a ring-like Super Nova. A glider swing is big enough to accommodate a pile of kids. They can try the balance beam and play in a little house. In the painted-games area, children can hopscotch on a dragonfly or balance on a bee flying to a flower. The Rolling Hills synthetic turf mound invites them to climb up and roll down, and in a climbing area, they can travel the circular walk or climb the tree to the top of a play structure and slide down the slide. Children on tricycles or in wheelchairs rolling on the Wavy Walk can stop at a stop sign, fill up at the gas station, and slow down in the school zone. They can also enjoy the sensory delight of making music on oversized instruments. A central covered area with picnic tables allows parents to sit in the shade and see almost every play area. Benches are also scattered around the periphery. A bathroom was clean and close by. This park is definitely worth the trip. Bring a picnic, but don't bring your dog. Dogs (other than service animals) aren't allowed.

Watching his growth over these past few months has been amazing, and we owe so much of that to the wonderful, caring staff. When he first started, it was a big transition--he had been home with me since birth, and adjusting to a new environment and new caregivers was tough. He cried a lot and had trouble napping at first. But the staff was so patient and gentle with him through it all. Their support and consistency helped him feel safe and loved, and it made all the difference. Now, he's excited to go to school--he even runs into the classroom and forgets to say goodbye! As a parent, there's nothing better than knowing your child feels happy, secure, and cared for. Thank you to everyone at Bright Horizons at Longacres for helping him grow into such a confident little person. We are so grateful.

If you look at the staff picture wall by the entrance only a handful of teachers have been there longer than a year. We also noticed that staff can be very stressed at times due to being shuffled around from class to class. We finally left (intending it to be temporary) due to our second child being born. Our son had his pictures taken right before we gave our notice and requested to purchase it as well but we never heard back after multiple attempts. TL:DR Depending on the teacher that you have your experience can vary by a lot. If management can do a better job with keeping the staff less stressed/happy I don't think we would hesitate with coming back.
