I recently attended an event dinner hosted at The Linen Building. The space is beautiful and was…read morefilled with art and strung lights. There was a hosted bar and buffet table, as well as professional lighting which seemed to mirror a dance area on the floor. Seems like a perfect venue for a wedding reception, depending on the size of the guest list. For event organizers: Make you sure know how to control the tempertaure. The AC was blasting the entire time and I noticed many people complaining about how cold it was.

It is a great facility with an excellent location and very accommodating staff. I've been involved in hosting two find raisers here for a charter school and a community radio station. I also attended a holiday work party. As a host, I had everything I needed to pack the house for a dinner in one case and a speech by a celebrity news anchor in the other. As a guest I found the space a little too bright for a festive gathering. I think the organizers just didn't know how to set up the lighting correctly because at the other events we took advantage of the accent lighting to highlight a speaker and information/book signing tables. Bar services are available through the sister company, the Modern Hotel. I wish the kitchen were bigger because I think it was a little hard for our caterer to plate up in the little space they have. The managers are supper helpful and flexible. And believe me, this is key when you are dealing with a chaotic events planning committee or a picky mother-in-law when you are planning your event or wedding reception!

First off trying to find where this place is at night is almost impossible. The entrance isn't lit up what so ever. So many rules that you don't know about. Some friends had a dog on a leash and the owners come running out saying "you better get the f'n dog off our property!" Didn't know dogs weren't allowed... but to come storming out of their the house and start cussing?? Come on. Be a lil more professional as business owners. Other friends had left as well because of how they were treated and spoken to. If you don't want people in your so called barn then don't rent it out!!!! Find somewhere else to throw a party. Should rename this place Idaho party pooper!! Ha!

They said that was "wedding season" and the number of people I was expecting, around 20, wasn't nearly enough because they charge by the number. I asked if they were seriously refusing to book me, and the man I was talking to said yes. He said I could have it if I wanted to pay $1,000 which is what they charge for weddings. Wow!! so, unless you are looking for something in the off season of what they consider their money making time of year, don't bother. They were rude. On another note, I was at the place for a summer BBQ. The people that run the facility have a house on the property. Not only did they come over to the party and help themselves to the food and beverages...one of them got sloppy drunk...they sat in their backyard watching the party and the invited guests. The people having the party didn't know them and didn't invite them to be a part of it, they just included themselves as guests. Very weird.

**The Cottage at Riverbend** is a Beautiful OUTDOOR Wedding venue in Eagle, Idaho. The grounds are…read morebreathtaking on this rural land in the middle of the bustling city of Eagle. The land is uniquely private. The entrance so obscure that you will drive by and miss it except for a Welcome sign on wedding days. This is a good thing to keep your event private and to maximize the space. Once you enter from the street the wedding names will be on a sign with the cottage in the background. You will head down a one car driveway to the back and park in a gravel parking lot. The back lawn is a front to a creek and lots of trees. Wedding ceremonies often take place here. When you are on the grounds you cannot see the surrounding farm, the vegetable market or anything else in most places. Moving toward the cottage is the pot o potty for guests & staff (construction style!!!) , the parking lot and then large tent. Walk through another area of grass. Next is another smaller tent outside the cottage and a couple of grass lawns. Again, tents may vary due to time of year etc. They usual house the DJ and dance floor for your event or it could house the tables and chairs and dance floor. The trees and shrubbery, again, are so pretty. The little pond is also good looking. Weddings are so different depending especially on your wedding coordinator and also the vendors you hire. Pay special attention to where the sun is depending on your time of day & time of year and plan the set up of chairs, tables, eating areas not to mention the flowers accordingly. The ceremony and eating is often set up in the sun so be aware depending on the time of year. Make sure to remember to think of your guests and warn them of the need to wear flat shoes or chunk heels or wedges to traverse the grounds parking lot and porta potty. Let them know if you will let them in the cottage to use the restroom or to get out of the sun or if it is off limits. Again, the wedding coordinator may make this decision but be aware it alters the guest experience. Their website shows a plethora of photos of the grounds so check it out for an idea of offerings and other events. But they don't do it justice. It is more beautiful in person. The look of the event and pictures are dependent on what you choose catering wise, coordinator wise, clothing wise and whom your vendor is for supplies. It can be as informal or formal as you wish. The sky is the limit. The Cottage at Riverbend gets 5 stars for just the gorgeous, serene, enchanting outdoor space that it is to hold your wedding or event. There are plenty of areas for guests and wedding party to roam and lots of greenery for pictures to be taken with. Lots of memories to be made here

Roadhouse At The Mill - Aaron Lewis Great View from our reserved table.

Only hiccup: a couple casually decided our table was also their table and set their stuff down. Bold move. We just... let it happen and worked around it. Margaritas were strong (bless), and paired dangerously well with the brisket nachos, which vanished almost immediately. Aaron Lewis was phenomenal--no gimmicks, no nonsense, just pure talent and vocals that hit just as hard live. Pro tips: reserve a table. Unless you enjoy performing a balancing act with food, drinks, and dignity. Also, bring a hand fan to stay cool during summer months. Easy parking, great energy, strong drinks, amazing food, and an incredible show. We'll definitely be back.

Prior to last night's concert for Rodney Atkins, I tried to find information about the venue so…read morethat I could decide if it was going to be a fun time. Specifically in regards to seating, because I have some physical issues that can cause problems with balance and joint issues. It was terrible to try and find information out about the venue online. My husband drove out fire to the event to look around, and he said they had handicapped seating that wouldn't require me to climb up into bleachers. We thought that it wouldn't be a problem, but when we got there, the seating was behind the sound system people, so you couldn't see anything. The chairs were stools, they were metal stools that were the most uncomfortable seating arrangement I've ever experienced for a venue. We were right out in the sun, and it was 95 degrees out. No fans, no misters, nothing to try and keep people comfortable. My husband said it was typical because the company wanted people to get hot and drink more. That they wanted people to be uncomfortable with the seating arrangement so that they would go out on the dance floor and cause themselves to get more thirsty. But what about the main entertainment? That's a joke. I do enjoy Rodney Atkins' music, but I didn't enjoy the show last night. I don't know if it was his fault or the venue's fault, but it was advertised to start at 5:30, which we understood that's there would be a starting band first. Rodney Atkins did not come out until after 9 p.m. So we sat in the heat from 5:30 p.m. to about 10 p.m., when we finally decided to wrap it up because it wasn't worth it. The performer did not offer an introduction or an apology for being late. My husband made the observation that it was just a job to him and it wasn't about entertainment. The music was too loud for the area, and I realized that a professional band like Rodney Atkins usually plays to a large group, but they're professionals. They should have been able to accommodate. And there was a lot of feedback, which no one enjoys hearing loud squealing. There wasn't that type of problem with the opening band, so there shouldn't have been that type of problem with Rodney Atkins' group. Then, to top it all off, when we left and were getting on our motorcycle, the person watching the gate, so to speak, came running out to tell us that we couldn't park there. We were just pulling the motorcycle over to where it was flat so I could get on it. We were both putting our helmets on. The bike was running. My husband was putting his gloves on. Sometimes people just don't have common sense. That was my first and last experience with that venue.
