I started coaching here right after Rick retired and Jina and Carla bought the gym. Since then they…read morehave worked really hard to make the gym organized, communicative, and a great place for gymnasts to grow and learn. Our pre-school/kindergarten age group classes are more strict than some other gyms so you have to find what's best for you. Our beginner classes for kids 5-12 are focusing on the basics for success, we have three different pre-team classes so we can place a gymnast with a group that will be fitted to their needs, and we of course have our team program. We do not have a level 1 or 2 team as we train pre-team to move on to either our level 3 compulsory program or excel. We also have a Cheernastics class that focuses on tumbling, myself a retired gymnast and a retired cheerleader coach that class. Call the gym to find out more!

When we moved to Boise, ID we were nervous about finding a gym that was right for us. We did a lot of shopping around and as soon as we walked into Mountain West, my daughter and I knew we found the place to call HOME! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with happy smiles! All the coaches and owners make my daughter feel like she is a part of the family. The Staff and Owners are all friendly and willing to help all the kids with whatever they need! Rick and Heidi are amazing gym owners and put the girls needs first. They are always giving tips to the kids to help them get better and improve. This is such a great place for kids who love gymnastics.

My daughter just started diving and when I informed Corinne (one of the coaches), she told me that…read moretheir gym is not for socializing as they put everyone to work from the get go. She wasn't kidding!!!!! My daughter was put to work from the moment she stepped inside. She was bending backwards and doing hand stands. I didn't know she could do that but Corinne helped her and I was blown away. And then she put my daughter on uneven bar and had her flipping forward and backwards. Again I didn't know my daughter could be so flexible. She had no previous gymnastics experience and she's doing things that I didn't think they teach in first day. She walked backwards on balance beam and the coach was just really no nonsense. We signed up for 2 lessons a week which is reasonable $110 or $80 for once a week. Great gym for serious gymnast. Don't be fooled by other local gymnastics gym in the area. This is the real deal. You'll get more than you paid for here and they really teach here. Less fooling around but more serious work. Highly recommended. The reception area maybe shabby but the work is real. I'm glad I shopped around and found this. Also, if you go to a gymnastics gym that does birthdays party- that should be a red signal that it's not a real gymnastics gym.

One made my child cry…read moreon the first day by telling her to get out of her class and wouldn't help her find the right group. The next coach was more involved but wouldn't really explain how to execute moves, which was pointless really. The manager seemed fine. The facility is pretty well stocked with equipment, but very dirty and smells terrible especially for how much they take in a month for tuition. Won't be coming back.

The coach they stuck her with looks like she just finished high school. There are 6 kids in her group and 1 coach but it's a lot of socializing and running all over the place. Similar to being in Jump Time. If you want serious gymnastics this is not the best place for your child. I have yet to see the coach work with her on form. Too many kids and the coaches cannot work individually with each student. I could do this in my bed with some pillows. Not worth the price. The coach was just standing around watching the kiddies jump on a foam pit. I'm pretty sure they have a mosquito problem too, I kept getting bites and I have 7 around all over my body and I'm just sitting on the chair by the bathroom. My daughter stated out loud in front of other parents that her coach is not making them work hard!

This review is for the daycare…read more We just pulled our child out of daycare here. He came home one day and told us about an incident he had with another student. The incident itself is the kind of thing that happens at any school or daycare; However, how he described the response to the incident from his teacher was concerning to us. Additionally, this was in the context of other concerning statements (made to our child and to us) by a couple of different teachers at Wings. I reached out to the director, Athena Schmitz, who promised to discuss the specific incident with the teacher and our general concerns with all of the teachers. She promised to follow-up with me via a phone call. We received a very vague apology via a message from the teacher without explanation for the incident or her response. It is now about a month later and I never received a call from Athena as was promised. It's disappointing that our concerns were not important enough to her for her to follow through on. Beyond this, overall we noticed a big change in our child's enthusiasm for the Wings Center. At first he loved it. He enjoyed his teacher and planet kid (their big playground). Recently he hasn't wanted to go. When we asked if he wanted to keep going there or find a different school he very consistently expressed he did not want to go to Wings anymore. My gut feeling is that he's had other negative experiences there that he hasn't told us about. There are plenty of great daycares in the area. If you are looking for something similar to Wings, we checked out Bodies in Motion and were impressed. They also have a big indoor playground and the ratio of students to teachers there is more appropriate (it costs a little more but you get what you pay for). Ultimately, when it comes to daycare, the peace of mind from knowing that our child is being treated well and cared for is the most important factor for us. If your experience is like ours, you won't get that from Wings. I recommend against Wings Center for child care.

Worse administrator ever you can't talk to her she runs and hides she's a coward. One teacher told my child to shut up for the rest of the day. I went to pick up my daughter in the middle of the day all the lights were out in the whole building it was dark I don't know where all the children were. If you want your child to have low self-esteem and doubts about their character just send them to the wing center..it's dirty and it smells.
