What a great place! Master who trained my children was awesome! Patient, explanitory, and very respectful. Signed my kids up immediately! They loved every minute. Prices are a little high for what I expected, but Im assuming after seeing the facility and trainers its well worth it! Excited to continue their training here!

My daughter has been in TwaKwan Do for 5 years. She is now working on her 3rd black belt. This will be her "real" black belt in the World TwaKwanDo Federation. (She's been in three different programs!) The first program she was in. accepted her at just 2&1/2 years of age, we will always be greatful to Mike and Kurt for their extreme patience in working with such a tiny tot full of energy & giving her a wonderful foundation to build on. But now, Master Lee's YongIn is a true school for TwaKwonDo! The Masters that come from Korea to teach are just amazing. A combination of strict, yet patient. With my high energy child, I do wish they were a little more strict! They have a wonderful student to instructor ratio - my child is never lost in the class. She never goofs off- they are watching! Okay, she goods off, but gets called out on it! If the class is large; out comes another instructor! No student sits on the sideline of class watching, EVERYONE participates! Another thing I really enjoy is a sense of community. The children make connections/ friends outside of their normal social sphere. That's really important these days! They also have outside activities, fairs, movies, camps, for the children to enjoy. The school also teaches respect to one another, parents, teaches, oneself- self control, self respect, some life lessons that don't come from mom and dad; yet are so vitally important. It seems sometimes that society has lost some of these lessons; it is nice to have them reinforced outside the home. Thank you Mr&Mrs Lee & Crew!

Breaking a board on testing day!

MLTKD has gone out of their way to provide a safe and healthy environment for their students to thrive in. Highly recommend!

Ask the Community - Yong In Master Lee's Tae Kwon Do

I have a 9 year old boy who is interested in learning martial arts. I have a school coupon for 4 weeks for $49.00 including a uniform and I was wondering what is going to cost for him to continue after this special is over?

$140 per month

Her response to many of my questions is "yes ma'am" which I have Master Mia to thank for that.

Martial Arts is a foreign concept to me. I know nothing about it nor do I have much interest. I…read moreencouraged my couch potato kids to enroll just to have one outside activity to do. My hubby is the knowledgeable one in the family and really likes this studio. I can see that it is well regarded just by the number of mostly kids who attend the adult evening classes. It's like a club of really great kids who are working their way to better themselves through this sport. The owners are a family who are all well trained martial arts experts. They are the nicest people you could ever do business with and trust to teach your kiddos. All classes are in their giant open studio. They also have a play area for young siblings and a small workout area. They set up an audience area to watch the kids practice. The location and parking lot are a bit hard to find for a first timer. They are way set back by the Christian Preschool. Finally be warned sports are expensive and this is no different. Tuition covers unlimited classes based on what is available on their schedule for your age/level. They test for the next level belt about every 6 weeks and It's recommended to practice at least twice per week to be ready to move up. My kids have been there for 5 months and are up 3 belts. Costs so far include tuition, belt testing, equipment, competition entry fees, and weapons.... We estimate it's cost about 1000 for all of those things per kid so far. As far as value, my couch potatoes are enjoying it and going willingly so as long as they are on the path, it's well worth it.

We paid $10 for my 3 year old and $12 for our 8 year old, affordable for so much fun! And that's for all day not for 1-2 hours of play. They had a winter break camp going on, there was about 10 kids who were being watched by 3 adults who worked there, we thought that was a cool option for local families. They have drinks and snacks and we also really appreciated that! I asked for a Flat White and it was actually delicious! Bridget was the one working the front desk, drinks and snacks yesterday and she is really awesome! Very sweet with great people skills! The play area was also clean, they must wipe things down pretty good every day. The only cons are when you first walk in the first door for entry, the small walk through room smells heavily like chlorine with a hint of mildew, like you're about to walk into an indoor pool. Also, the bathrooms looked like a daycare bathroom, out of toilet paper, toilet paper on the ground and no towels to dry your hands. Im sure they have their hands very full during times they have camps where they are watching a lot of kids. Someone going in and checking the bathroom once an hour should fix that. And lastly, we forgot to bring water with us for our kids, they don't sell water bottles and they don't have filtered water. They do have 2 water fountains for the kids but I don't let my kids use water fountains. Next time we'll be sure to have our waters with us. Thank you Bodies In Motion, our kids had a great time!
