My husband and I are in our mid 50's. We were married in Tennessee in late October and had a reception @ Waters Edge in late November. The wedding and both receptions were mid size to large and vastly different. In Tennessee we were married in the Smokey Mountains with our reception at a large Country Club and Conference Center. The difference between the two experiences was immensely different! The price for our reception in Tennessee was half of what we paid in Idaho with maybe a 30 guest difference. We served a 3 entre buffet in Tennessee and BREAKFAST food at Waters Edge with at least a $1000 difference in food! Waters Edge also raised the price $3 an entre in mid July. I understand the economy is not what it used to be...we are talking about eggs vs steak! Waters Edge also charged ala carte on EVERYTHING associated with the building. I was charged seperately for everything from table clothes to a coat rack. The Tennessee venue included EVERYTHING! I will say that the staff was exceptional to work with. Ben was very kind and helpful and does his job very well. The staff the evening of our reception were very professional. I have no complaints where they are concerned. The Venue is beautiful (although they do need to mop their floors a little more often....the bottom of my wedding dress was black compared to wearing it on the top of a mountain in Tennessee). My other issues include payment. I was planning on payment in full the Friday evening before our reception @ Waters Edge. I was asked to please pay three days prior so they could make sure our check would clear. I understand this completely from a business perspective and we did.....in the form of a cashiers check which is basically cash. It would have been a cashiers check the Friday before as well. The Country Club in Tennessee did not ask for payment until 3 days AFTER our function. Payment AFTER services were performed AND they made an appointment with me to go over said charges in detail and any concerns I had about the event. Waters Edge charged a non refundable deposit for the venue as well. I feel in a time of COVID this is a little much. At the very least, half of the deposit should have been refundable. After our reception, we received a $528 refund from Waters Edge. It is more than a month later and I am still trying to get that refund! I should have told them I needed to make sure the check clears! All in all, Waters Edge is a lovely venue. We had a fantastic reception and really enjoyed working with the staff. They were amazing! That being said, Waters Edge is over priced for what they offer. Take my advice, unless you have deep pockets or someone else is paying, have a small wedding in your backyard and save your money for the honeymoon! Wendy White and Dr. Michael White

I was a groomsman for a wedding at this location so my rating is based on my time at the wedding and the location. This rating isn't based on their wedding planning or ease of use. Located near downtown Eagle this little event center offers enough space and unique options to give a great wedding. The groom and bride both have their own separate rooms to get ready. I believe the bride has more room then the groom, but I never went upstairs to confirm that. The grooms room is a masculine setting with animal skin rugs and leather couches. It fit our party of 7 well. The actual venue has indoor and outdoor seating and a great place for a dance floor. I believe the venue offers two bar tenders for the bar. The food was the worst aspect, but it wasn't bad in the slightest. I don't know for sure if the food was outside catered or not, but my experience with these venues is that they do the catering. Overall the wedding was enjoyable. I didn't see any hiccups originating from the venue or the staff. I'd recommend them to a friend looking for a wedding venue.

Had a business meeting here and it is a much better option than a hotel. The room is very comfortable and very updated. It has a lot of natural light and the temperature was great. The service was perfect and the staff was there when you needed them and they were gone at all the right times. The AV set up was nice and it fit our needs perfectly. Definitely recommend for your next event.

Ben and the team worked hard to make the event flow smoothly and took care of everything we could have possibly needed.

I stayed the night here last night and this hotel is incredible!…read more When you walk in there is gorgeous fireplace and reception area. Upon checking in I was given a complimentary welcome bag with a couple bottled waters and a package of Milano cookies- this may not be something given to all guests, my employer who used to travel all the time has a membership with hilton and she booked my stay for me. The suite was absolutely beautiful, clean and spacious! It had 2 Queen Beds, a living room area with a couch, comfy chairs, 2 TV's, a kitchenette with just about everything you could need for cooking if you wanted to. A small coffee pot with a few coffee pods and tea and a small but decent bathroom as well as a little outside patio with chairs. It was nice being on the 4th floor as there was very minimal noise. I spent about 20 min at the pool and I had it all to myself.. and then this morning I had breakfast here. Their breakfast buffet was overall pretty great. Something for everyone's tastes! Oatmeal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, muffins, breads, cereal, a variety of spreads, juices, coffee, water, tea, potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon, a station where you can make your own breakfast tacos complete with jalepenos, cheese, hot sauces, salsa and a very delicious honey lime crema!!! Mmm mmm!! My only issue with breakfast was the foods that should have been hot were only somewhat warm in temperature but the flavors were good so i'm not really complaining. If I have the opportunity to stay here again, I absolutely would as it's one of the best hotel experiences i've had!

The land is uniquely private. The entrance so obscure that you will drive by and miss it except for a Welcome sign on wedding days. This is a good thing to keep your event private and to maximize the space. Once you enter from the street the wedding names will be on a sign with the cottage in the background. You will head down a one car driveway to the back and park in a gravel parking lot. The back lawn is a front to a creek and lots of trees. Wedding ceremonies often take place here. When you are on the grounds you cannot see the surrounding farm, the vegetable market or anything else in most places. Moving toward the cottage is the pot o potty for guests & staff (construction style!!!) , the parking lot and then large tent. Walk through another area of grass. Next is another smaller tent outside the cottage and a couple of grass lawns. Again, tents may vary due to time of year etc. They usual house the DJ and dance floor for your event or it could house the tables and chairs and dance floor. The trees and shrubbery, again, are so pretty. The little pond is also good looking. Weddings are so different depending especially on your wedding coordinator and also the vendors you hire. Pay special attention to where the sun is depending on your time of day & time of year and plan the set up of chairs, tables, eating areas not to mention the flowers accordingly. The ceremony and eating is often set up in the sun so be aware depending on the time of year. Make sure to remember to think of your guests and warn them of the need to wear flat shoes or chunk heels or wedges to traverse the grounds parking lot and porta potty. Let them know if you will let them in the cottage to use the restroom or to get out of the sun or if it is off limits. Again, the wedding coordinator may make this decision but be aware it alters the guest experience. Their website shows a plethora of photos of the grounds so check it out for an idea of offerings and other events. But they don't do it justice. It is more beautiful in person. The look of the event and pictures are dependent on what you choose catering wise, coordinator wise, clothing wise and whom your vendor is for supplies. It can be as informal or formal as you wish. The sky is the limit. The Cottage at Riverbend gets 5 stars for just the gorgeous, serene, enchanting outdoor space that it is to hold your wedding or event. There are plenty of areas for guests and wedding party to roam and lots of greenery for pictures to be taken with. Lots of memories to be made here

This is a brand new Residence Inn hotel located in Eagle, Idaho…read more My wife's first impression of the hotel was not good. Check in was kind of smooth until we got out room assignment. We were given a room on a lower floor that was not acceptable to my wife. The front desk clerk did her best in finding us a new room and finally gave us another room; this time on higher floor with a crib in it that was meant for another family. We were tired after a long day of travel. We took that room while I moved the crib to the hallway. Everyone apologized to my wife. Aside from the room assignment hiccup, I thought this was a nice property. We were given a one bedroom suite with 2 queen beds. The bed was comfortable. The room had a nice little kitchen, with stove, refrigerator, and microwave. It had a large dining table. Breakfast is served downstairs in the breakfast area with the usual Bonvoy specialties. They have an adequate gym with brand new treadmills, ellipticals and weights. The gym was equipped with towels and wipes to keep the equipment dry and clean. Drinking water was also available in the gym. Parking is plentiful and free. There were several chargers to charge my plug in hybrid minivan. Chargers were free for hotel guests. With me using gas primarily on the plug in hybrid, I wasn't sure if the charger worked the short time I plugged it in, or if I needed to download an app to my phone first before getting it to work. Even though my wife's first impression of the hotel was bad, we ended up having a good stay here.

My daughter lives here, in Boise, so this will always be my go-to Hotel! Beautiful and classy design inside, the room was like a studio apartment and I always looked forward to spending time in there, when I wasn't out and about. Gym area has high tech equipment and I utilized the treadmill...which has Bluetooth to connect to your phone for music or whatnot. Equipped with: water station and cups, towels, cleaning wipes, and a charger for your phone, just in case. Loved the patio area, especially the "non fire" they turned on every night, very welcoming and enjoyed reading by it every night. The showers were not made with the best design, hence water everywhere. Free breakfast was phenomenal, not just the basic bagel, muffin, and juice. Staff were always cheerful and accommodating! Loved Tony, Alicia, and I think her name was Kate (?). She was young, probably 18-19 years old. There was one staff member who should not be there; Connor. Rude, stuffy, never acknowledged every time I walked through, so I tried to avoid going through the front doors. Will he stop me from enjoying this perfect hotel? Absolutely not, I'm a "lifer."
