Grassy area for dogs with a poop bag station

We had 3 adults, 2 kids and a XL dog in one of their suites (2 queen beds in the bedroom and a pull out bed in the living room) for 5 days and it worked pretty good. The room/living room/kitchen are small but we made it work. The whole hotel is nicely furnished and beautiful. Service is great! Everyone we came in contact with was kind and helpful! Their daily continental breakfast was a huge plus! The food overall is 3/5 stars BUT not having to cook or clean breakfast is amazing and they did have a lot of different food options. Im also a huge fan that they have Coffee/Decaf/Hot Water available all day long. Not having to buy breakfast and coffee definitely saves some money. The beds are not comfortable, you can feel the springs. But it wasn't too terrible for a 5 night stay. We were able to do a load of laundry easily, bring quarters if you need to do laundry during your stay. The indoor pool and gym area are awesome. There's also a small basketball court here which would be fun for older kids. There is a large park directly across the street. Large grassy area, volleyball ball courts, large jungle gym area, splash pad during summer time and access to walking trails. This is perfect for walkers/dog owners/ parents with kids. We were staying on the 2nd floor and the only thing that was hard to deal with during our stay was that one of the 5 nights, our room smelled like campfire all night long which really bothered my lungs and I wasn't able to sleep much. We were not sure why the smoke smell was coming through the AC, we had no windows open. When we told the front desk the next morning, they had no idea why that would have happened. Hopefully they can fix whatever the problem was so that no future guests have to deal with that.

    Breakfast well presented.

Room is okay, replete with home essentials such as dishes, pots, flatware... Im staying with my son who is a Diamond level patron and who was told there are complimentary snacks available to that level guest, upon check in. Just came from the lobby. Was told by what could only be described as a dismissive front desk clerk that, 'You could have some popcorn '. Popcorn. A microwave popcorn packet. Had I known that such stellar snacks were available to high level Hilton guests , I would be staying at Hiltons much more often! Customarily, attentive service is the hallmark of excellence. It is the standard at most Hiltons, and we had come to expect it. Sadly, not here. Not tonight.

As you walk into the lobby, you're immediately hit with a pleasant aroma/signature scent. Not to mention, the decor and atmosphere is top notch. The front desk staff made checking-in easy. There was a slight delay with room inspection before we could head up to our room (but truly, not a huge issue). We were able to leave our luggage behind the front desk & enjoyed a nice drink at the bar downstairs. Once we got to our room, I was even more impressed. The bathroom alone is worth another visit. The shower is massive and I loved the spa-like feel overall. Beds were comfortable and I enjoyed the cozy lighting. I could go on and on- just book the trip! I will be waiting until we can come back and stay here next time. Great experience!

The room was way more swanky than anything we ever stay in, but even my husband commented on how nice it was, and he isn't usually impressed with hotels. You could sleep in the shower with how much space there was. The ambiance definitely matched all the things I had heard about it - very industrial meets modern in a thoughtful way. And don't sleep on Blue Collar Coffee or the rooftop bar, if even for just the view of the foothills. You can't beat the location either - it's walkable to everything but just outside the true heart of downtown where it gets busier. Recommend for a staycation night (what we did) or a splurge-y stay with friends!

I have written reviews for *other* Hyatt Place's, but after staying at the Hyatt Place in Meridian,…read morethere is proof positive that not all Hyatt Place's are created equal. Most Hyatt Place properties have basically the same layout which I love. Unlike other properties of this caliber, the rooms were equipped with actual glass cups, heavy quality glass cups that were really appreciated. It's upsetting to pay a premium for a room and have to put up with paper or plastic cups, which cheapens the whole experience! The rooms are very spacious, modern, comfortable (from the beds to the chairs and couches) and depending on where you stay, are kept relatively clean and looking nice. Coming in on a Friday night, with our room facing the parking lot, there was some Friday night motorcycle noise, but not so much that sleep was interrupted. The Hyatt Place in Meridian is in a great location, central to Boise, Meridian (read great upscale shopping center), and everything being relatively close to the property (please understand, almost anywhere you go in Idaho, you need a car). The standouts at this property were the *free* breakfast and the staff! The staff was as nice and accomodating as they come! There was one little mistake where we asked for maid service and they heard *no* maid service (not a big deal, we were able to get towels and soaps and etc until they were coming out of our ears, and of course, everyone can make a bed (even tho I was on vacation, but one time isn't a deal killer)). This property has the best yogurt (yes, yogurt)! I have no idea what they put in it, but it tasted great! It was a highlight each and every day of our stay! And "Renatta", (I hope I'm not butchering her name, here), one of the breakfast servers, was the best! Drink too much the night before? Get a hug from Renatta! Had a great night? Celebrate with a hug from Renatta! Heck, just get a big hug from Renatta! She was a bright addition to the staff and personally, she should get a raise and a medal pinned on her chest! It takes a great effort to be that happy in the morning (a non-morning person would know) and she should be rewarded for it! This will be a regular stop on future trips to Boise. Stand out staff, great location and spacious, comfortable rooms and wonderful breakfasts are the reasons to stay!

In the rather large parking lot, people were out street racing and yelling, throwing traffic cones and making a lot of unwanted noise when all we wanted to do was sleep after a long day on the road. The king suite was spacious with new furniture. There was a micro refrigerator ironing board, iron, hair dryer, a new roll of Charmin professional toilet paper and Kleenex brand tissue. There wasn't a microwave in the room but one was in the dining room area on the first floor. There was a small single serve coffee maker in room with a real coffee cup and two small drinking glasses. There was a bar area on the first floor that also offered bar food. We brought a Costco pepperoni pizza which was about 10 minutes away, so I can't comment on the food or bar service. The breakfast buffet was one of best hotel buffets that we've experienced in a super long time. The breakfast staff were on their A game keeping the area clean and restocked. The outside pool and hot tub looked so inviting! Several families were enjoying the outdoor facilities Friday night. Near the back entrance and pool area, there was a nice sized small gym to work out in. They needed to restock their sanitizing wipes because it was completely empty. I meant to let the staff know, but got tied up trying to unpack and catch a few winks before hitting the road again. We definitely will stay at this hotel again, but in an even numbered room facing the back of the hotel to hopefully mitigate any street racing and weekend noises.

We were given a room on a lower floor that was not acceptable to my wife. The front desk clerk did her best in finding us a new room and finally gave us another room; this time on higher floor with a crib in it that was meant for another family. We were tired after a long day of travel. We took that room while I moved the crib to the hallway. Everyone apologized to my wife. Aside from the room assignment hiccup, I thought this was a nice property. We were given a one bedroom suite with 2 queen beds. The bed was comfortable. The room had a nice little kitchen, with stove, refrigerator, and microwave. It had a large dining table. Breakfast is served downstairs in the breakfast area with the usual Bonvoy specialties. They have an adequate gym with brand new treadmills, ellipticals and weights. The gym was equipped with towels and wipes to keep the equipment dry and clean. Drinking water was also available in the gym. Parking is plentiful and free. There were several chargers to charge my plug in hybrid minivan. Chargers were free for hotel guests. With me using gas primarily on the plug in hybrid, I wasn't sure if the charger worked the short time I plugged it in, or if I needed to download an app to my phone first before getting it to work. Even though my wife's first impression of the hotel was bad, we ended up having a good stay here.

The coffee tasted really watered down and weak not great if you actually need coffee to wake up in the morning. The biggest issue though was the water. The tap water left this really slippery, almost slimy feeling on your hands and skin that I could never get used to. We stayed there for 3 weeks, so it definitely wasn't a one-time thing. It actually got bad enough that I slipped getting out of the bathtub and hurt my wrist. My wrist was messed up for about 2 weeks afterward. When we mentioned it, they told us they had recently softened the water again, which explained a lot. Another thing people should know: if you prepay and end up needing to leave early, you may not get that prepaid money back. That was frustrating and something I wish we had known upfront. Not the worst place by any means, but definitely had some drawbacks especially for longer stays.
