The five-star rating is completely justified! Fernando was tasked with finding an irrigation system leak that had no obvious signs other than the water bill use rate had doubled. Yikes! I watched as he systematically tested the irrigation system to narrow down the issue. I had an emergency propane gas leak on my property (500 gallon Propane Tank) and Ferrell Gas was unable to locate or fix the leak. My propane service was turned off to my property until the leak was fixed. I immediately researched and called a few companies and found Leak Star Advanced Leak Detection. Chris called back quickly (same day) and after asking several discovery questions he was able give me a clear idea of pricing and walk me through his process for locating a propane gas leak. He came out to the house within a few hours and performed a leak detection test and used helium to identify, isolate and locate the leak. He then pressure tested the entire system (both interior and exterior of the house) including inspection of the water heater, furnace, appliances and the exterior pool heater to determine there were no leaks in the gas lines or system below ground or under the slab. This was a huge relief! He was then able to identify the leak was at my exterior pool heater and given the age of the pool heater recommended immediate replacement. He put in air into our pipe system to even hear where the leak is coming from. He open our dry wall and wham! There was the leak. The leak was underground and said best to cut and reroute the water line through the walls. He cut the line. Capped the line that was underneath. Rerouted the water line through the walls to our kitchen sink. After completing there was no more leak and I'm a happy customer. If I could give this company 10 stars I would! Fernando was fantastic. . . . .professional, knowledgeable, personable and respectful. We had a slab leak that needed immediate attention and Fernando got us on the schedule quickly. Right from the start he explained every step of the process for finding the source of the leak, making sure we understood and trusted the process and his expertise. Within 48 hours he and his crew of 2 were at work on re-piping the water source from the hot water heater to a shower at the opposite end of the house going through some tight attic space. Working non-stop all day they achieved his goal of getting the re-piping compete in one day so we had hot water that evening. They took special care in protecting our carpeting and flooring and were immaculate in their clean up of the work areas. They returned the next work day to insulate the new pipes and finish up some odds and ends. We used his dry wall crew to repair the two areas that were used to access the the pipes and they were excellent as well, the newly patched walls show no signs of the repair work. A job well done! If you have a slab leak, or suspect you do, call Leak Star and ask for Jaime to get it identified and repaired. Our house started gushing clean, odorless water from under our toilet. Shortly after, our walls and flooring showed signs of moisture. To make things worse, the walls that held some of the water supply lines contained asbestos, so it wasn't easy to cut into them to access individual lines to diagnose or repair. I called Leak Star and Jaime came out the same day with detection equipment. He identified the pipes that likely had leaks without opening any walls. He marked the sections of walls he needed access into for asbestos abatement. He coordinated extremely well with the abatement contractor we had hired through home insurance to make sure they had enough information to make good cuts for both the abatement itself, but also his needs for plumbing. In the end, we got the walls cut and asbestos abated. Jaime had the access he needed. Again, we called Leak Star and they had next day availability for Jaime to come out and do the actual repairs. We ended up opting to replumb (almost) every room's hot water supply line through our tiny attic, and Jaime got it all done in one day of work. Afterwards, he was extremely thorough verifying the leak was indeed solved without inadvertent consequences. Hopefully I never have a leak again, but if I did I would hire leak star! read more

I was having problems with my plumbing pipes making a high pitch squealing noise when we flushed toilets or ran the washing machine. I tried to solve the problem by replacing the pressure regulator which worked for a short time but then the noise came back. I then replaced allof the quarter turn valves and supply lines which did not solve the problem. I then called Fernando at leak star and he came out and spent about an hour and a half helping to diagnose the problem. We finally traced it to one of the toilets that was leaking and had a bad float valve. Even though it was only one toilet that had the problem it still caused the noise when any of the other ones or the washer was used. After all said and done Fernando did not charge me anything for his time spent helping me figure out this aggravating problem. read more

Jaime and Fernando were the best at detecting and repairing a significant gas leak in our house. We tried to schedule leak detection through CPL but they scheduled me days away and said we'd need to call a separate plumber to come out and cap everything before CPL came out. Leak Star came out that SAME DAY! And was able to do it all! Capping, detection, and repair! It took some time but he saw it through and finally found it! Jaime was also available the next day to do the repair. After the repair, he thoroughly tested it it make sure it wasn't leak and held. Being still paranoid, we thought we smelled gas the next day, and he came back out right away to re-test. Must have been residual b/c he confirmed there was no leak. I had a constant water leak between the main water line and my home. Jaime explained the options available to me to fix the problem and I made the choice to reroute a new copper tubing line from the main water line to my home water valve. This came with a 15 year warranty. We had a burst pipe on 11/22/2021 and we called "Leak Star Advanced Leak Detection" part of "1st Choice Plumbing Flood and Restoration." They immediately sent out Michael and Jaime and his crew Arturo, Francisco and Mateo, just days before Thanksgiving. They did an excellent job at finding and stopping the leak and temporarily rerouted the water so that we could have some kind of Thanksgiving. We opted to go with a complete replumbing of our house. In all it took about a week to locate and reroute all the water lines. They installed all new valves and water lines. They were very meticulous and sympathetic to our situation. I must also add that they were here on time and put in a full day's work until it was done. Fast forward 6-7 months to 6/24/2022. We finally got our drywall repaired and kitchen cabinets replaced about a week ago and our sink installed yesterday (23rd). We were now ready to have our plumbing reinstalled.
