The establishment is clean and offers a lot of food and drink options. The staff was pleasant. I ordered a pastry and a vanilla latte and was underwhelmed with the product. The food was ok but nothing to write home about...you could do better at a franchise donut factory like Dunca's. The coffee was mediocre and tasted burnt, not a good latte for sure. I was sad because I had heard quite a bit about this place, but now feel it is just hype for a downtown Newnan cafe. This is probably my favorite spot in Newnan, lovely cafe on the square. Coffee is delicious and the section of baked goods, light foods, snacks, beer and wine really make the spot super comfy and enjoyable. Plenty of Indoor seating and even a few tables outside to enjoy the square. In this space you can really feel the youthful energy that's re-identifying with the south Atlanta suburb. Great atmosphere, okay coffee. A little over-priced, but worth the extra to support a locally-owned shop that's not Starbucks. If there is a genuine criticism, it is that their Wi-Fi is absolutely terrible. Kicks you off every few minutes. Tried multiple devices, Apple, Android and Windows. Others have same experience. I would go more often, but can't for this simple reason. EDIT: Fall 2017. Positive: Owner had wifi fixed, so you can work there. Much better. Negative: a small, plain coffee is now 2.47. The owner is very unprofessional, unwelcoming, and rude to customers. I come here often to study between classes and the only times issues arise are when she is here. Love the coffee and the fact that I can come over here in between classes to study, but am very shocked at the customer service from the owner. I live in Carrollton and am attending classes at the Newnan campus this semester. I have a 4 hour lunch/ study break so I usually pack my lunch and eat in between classes. Even though I come here every week and buy coffee and food from here, I got told that I could't eat some of my lunch in here since it's an "outside" food. I completely understand that people have policies but they way she said it was very rude and I don't see a problem with eating a granola bar with my coffee in between my classes. I don't like eating while I'm driving and I just figured that I could have a little snack while I'm studying and getting prepared for my next class. Ever since this day I have had excellent experience but not today. Very disappointed. read more

I really love that we have this coffee shop in the Newnan area. I enjoy going on Sundays, when I have to catch up on work or emails. It is usually pretty quiet and I can find a nice little nook to be productive. They have free wifi, which is always a plus. I love the decor of this place and just the overall feel of it. I've gotten iced lattes the times that I have been and they have always been pretty good - seems like they have tons of flavor options. The price is pretty similar to that of other coffee shops. I look forward to going back and trying out some of their other coffee drinks as well as food. read more

If you are like me and really enjoy a family owned local coffee shop over the big chain, then you will love this place. I am so glad that there is a local non-chain coffee shop within a short drive of my house. The mochas are the best I have had in a LONG time. The baristas are nice and friendly. My visit today gifted me with some great knowledge of local places that I am looking forward to checking out. Their cheese danish was excellent. The atmosphere is great. Perfect rustic meets modern coffee shop feel. They even host live music at times. They have a nice menu for lunch that I look forward to checking out some time. Even the local tv stars know the place is great. It's been a stop for Norman Reedus and Jeffery Dean-Morgan during a recent visit to Newnan. -But don't take their or my word for it, stop in and see for yourself. If you want great coffee, atmosphere, good food options, local advice, or just to relax alone or with a friend while also supporting a great family owned coffee shop, stop in and enjoy. Expensive and poor customer service. I was on my lunch break and wanted to sit somewhere quiet and order a beverage and eat my lunch that I brought with me. I figured a coffee and tea shop would be the perfect place...wrong! I was told I could only eat their food even though I just ordered a mediocre, expensive tea. I will never go back. read more

While the shop is cute, the lack of customer service sends me on the search for another cute friendly shop to spend my time and money in. Great space, nice staff, tactless owner. I was back home in Newnan, visiting family I hadn't seen in a long time. My mom had a cake prepared to mark my return and my brother's birthday (also visiting from out of town), so she wanted to surprise us when we all got together. Leaf and Bean seemed like a great spot for everyone to meet. We got some drinks and were having a great time catching up when the owner interrupted us at our table, thanked us for our patronage but then scolded us for bringing birthday cake from outside her establishment. She told us we wouldn't be welcomed in the future if we brought an outside cake again. All in all, I understand her wanting us to purchase her desserts rather than have birthday cake prepared by my mom. However, the way she approached the issue and the tone she had with us was tacky and unwelcoming (though we were paying customers). The overall experience was unfortunate since I only had a brief time to visit with everyone during my time in Newnan, and her interruption prompted our group to wrap things up early. I'll find other spots to visit with people when I'm home again in the future. read more

Had a bad experience here, customer service seems to be lacking and the food was just ok.

They unapologetically put meat in my food, I'm a pescetarian and have not eaten chicken in 10 years! They were very apathetic about the mistake, saying "well the tuna salad and chicken salad are right next to each other." Really?! Get it together people. The bread was also horrendous, they used the butt ends of the loaves to make our sandwiches. A really terrible experience overall. read more

Our experience wasn't the best here. The baristas took a while to even acknowledge that we had walked in the shop. The steaming wand on the espresso machine was really dirty. The drinks took almost 15 minutes to come out and I felt that they were overpriced. The location is great but the customer service and cleanliness could use work. read more

The atmosphere is great. Exposed brick, shotgun-style business with an antique counter. This business is now under its third owner, and I think it's finally the right one. She's engaged in social media, proactive about her business and the community. Many mornings, you can find the owner preparing fresh ingredients for that day's lunch special, which is always healthy (I think she's a nutritionist). If there are any complaints, it is that the coffee is just okay...nothing particularly great about it. The price for a small regular coffee is 2.09, which includes tax, but still remains about .20 more than Starbucks. However, I figure the extra is worth it to support a truly local business. Also, all the baristas are twenty-something women, so terrible music sometimes plagues the place (first thing in the morning, I'd like something a little peppy, not a Sarah McLaughlin dirge). Overall, worth the trip, and worth making it a regular hangout. I will try and do my part to make this place successful! One caveat: free WiFi is either spotty or slow. This admittedly free service must be quick and reliable for coffee house rats to want to hang out for any length of time. read more

Ordered two cupcakes-one Oreo and one German Chocolate Cake. Both cupcakes were crumbly and dry; tasted as if they were several days old. Dissatisfied with customer service as well. Took awhile to get anyone's attention-even when they weren't assisting other customers. Then, when someone did help us, it seemed like they were disinterested in us and our order-seemed to be looking right past us as we ordered. I am very disappointed in the service. The staff is unknowledgeable and very slow. The coffee is mediocre and never tastes fresh. This has been my experience in the last year and a half. When I arrived to pick up a to go order on my last visit the order had not been filled despite being given more than enough time to prepare the order. The employees response was " oh I forgot". It's a nice little coffee shop but if you go in expecting everything to taste exactly like it did the time before, you may be a little disappointed. The coffee is good, but not great.
