Our barely 5 month old puppy was choked to the point of coughing up blood and vomiting because she frustrated one of the "trainers". After the scary incident, we tried to contact the class organizer and lead "trainer" multiple times with no response. We have reported them to the AKC and BBB.

After 5 months of puppy training, a woman we have never seen before, "observes" our class and starts barking commands to the humans as if she is a marine drill sergeant. Finally, after much of this behavior, I calmly tell the woman that the tone she is using to instruct the class, is disrespectful and is not appreciated. Her response was that you can leave and then got into an argument with another woman. 3 people walked out of class in one night and will never return. We had to get the president of the AKC involved to bring awareness to the problem. As the google map photo confirm, the building itself is in pretty sad shape. There is no AC and with huge fans moving air during the summer, you are strained to hear the class leader. Do yourself a favor and visit other Kennel Clubs in Racine or Cudahy (maybe even northern IL) first. Scheduled an appointment for a training evaluation. I have a rescue dog that has anxiety around…read moreother canines and is leary of strangers, most likely due to lack of socialization. I spoke with the trainer about the program and was told I needed to purchase an E collar off of Amazon. They train owners how to use the e collar " humanely " and the training would cost in total $2,300 for approximately 5 lessons? It was also mentioned that the trainer that would be working with us doesn't like cold weather, so we would train inside? I am not actually sure how this would fix my dogs issue if he wasn't actually outside being trained near other people or dogs and for $2300 you should to enjoy all weather! I have consulted a canine behaviorist and she mentioned that e collars cause dogs with fear and anxiety to become aggressive because, the dog will begin to associate what they are already fearful of with pain. Thus causing more fear. After listening to the trainer sell his program, I was provided a demonstration by him with his own dog. The dog walked perfectly at the trainers side and seemed perfectly obedient until...The trainer removed the e collar to complete the demonstration. The dog took off running! I watched as this man tried to recall his pup, but the dog was not having it at all! This trainer had to get in his truck and go find his dog! Guessing the moral of the story is, if your dog only listens with a shock collar around its neck, it is not really trained, and will get away quick!

I took a chance and brought her in, in the back of my pick-up truck. I brought her in on a rope as she was panting and trying to run away. Sue took the rope and got a treat and somehow kept her fingers, and Dingo was all in her hands. When I picked her up, she had a striped bandanna on, smelt like strawberries and she no longer had long wild claws, but short tamed paws, and she wasn't even barking! Oh and she was shiny, I knew she was black but I'd only seen her with a brown tint...which now I know was dirt. I never knew she had a shiny coat under that mess. Katie had given her a stress reliever, massage bath and she relaxed and I guess enjoyed her day at the spa..so much for being a Dingo... I highly recommend Pet Services for your pets grooming needs - the price was great and the service was excellent. Thank you Sue and Katie! Once I can wrangle Dingo up again, we will be back for you to do your magic.

We have gone their before with 2 dogs and both times there was a run around about not having one of our dog's vet information (when clearly they had it because they would have not performed any past services if they had not) and very quick to tell us than we need to cancel the upcoming appt. without wanting giving us a chance to call back with the update information required. When I called back to let to ask them what their email address was so that I could resend it (again) and asked them to have their paperwork updated so we wouldn't continue the same issues, they got very defensive saying that it was me who was rude. The conversation did escalate and I am so happy that we are now going to another place. As much as we would like to support small businesses, the downside is this place feels like they can treat people anyway they like. My mother says the older lady is nice, but the young one who I had the displeasure of speaking too is very snotty! It's a shame the dog in question has been there at least twice within one year and they give us a hard time each time because they for whatever reason are not up to date with how they file their records. Bottomline there are too many groomers out there and in MY past experience I have always had a great experience with groomers, pet lovers are usually so nice....oh well this is on them for me writing this review. I have an appt. tomorrow @ 7am for another groomer. made the call, they asked if they were up to date on shots...yes they are...please bring with you when you bring the dogs in. Boom! Done......
