Ben has taken it upon himself to help Sam get over his lifelong fear of going down the basements stairs, too. Imagine my surprise while at work and Ben sent me a message saying" Sam and I have been practicing....." Along with a video of Sam going down the basement stairs!!!! I was shocked and happy and my co- workers who have always known of Sam's fear all wish they lived in the area so Ben could work with their pets, too:) Ben has been very helpful with information about fearful dogs for a co- worker and also when I recently had a cat visit for the weekend. We have been working with Ben and his team since relocating to Kenosha in September 2014. We are away from home for long hours during the week and I wanted our fur baby, Bentley, to remain in the comfort of his familiar surroundings vs a daycare facility so I reached out to pet sitters in our area. Kenosha Pet Sitter responded within 24 hours and the rest is history. Bentley is a rescue who exhibits aggressive behavior at times and instead of walking away from us, Ben made some suggestions on how to adjust routines that have really worked and we no longer have issues. They are very flexible when last minute changes to the schedule are needed and if our normal sitter is not available (which is rare) I am told well in advance that a temporary sitter will be visiting and our service is seamless. The daily text messages from our sitter are also nice and I am grateful that Bentley has mid-day breaks. Trusting someone with free access to my home while I'm away is not an easy thing for me to grant. However, after meeting with Ben I quickly realized this is someone I feel comfortable handing my house keys to. My dogs absolutely love him, in fact, I think they're more excited to see him than me. He takes phenomenal care of them, spending a lot of time walking, playing and paying attention to them. Unlike other sitters I've seen, he doesn't just come in, take the dogs for a quick walk, and then put them away again. He takes them for a good, healthy walk, cleaning up after them and makes sure they are clean and dry before he brings them back in the house. He also treats my house with a much greater respect than I do and goes above and beyond what I expected of him. He takes off his shoes before entering, brings my trash cans up from the curb and brings in packages left by UPS. Does your dog sitter do that? We have been with them for many years when we need to leave to short trips or extended vacations and family trips, or simply a day trip away. We have 6 pets currently...3 cats, 2 birds and 1 dog. Animals bring me so much joy and my love for my furry family members is at the core of who I am. When Ben first came to my house, I immediately saw the connection he has with animals. He treats my 11 month old Rottweiler, Izzy, like she is his own.
