What a great find.... I'm sorry I did not call Greg before. I needed to have the locks re-keyed at my business. I called Greg at about 10am and asked if he could do a same day called, with no hesitation he took down my information and said he would see me within 2 hours. He did have to take an emergency call but in doing so called me right away to tell me he was going to be delayed but did apologize. Well worth the wait. Greg showed up by 1pm as promised and not only re-keyed all the locks but fixed my delivery double doors as they have swelled and shifted over time. To boot was the cost was close to 30% cheaper than the "other guy" I use to use. My office has a history of locking me out, I thought the lock was messed up. On more than one occasion I couldn't get it to unlock and the guys in the office would break in via the ceiling, dropping in like Ninjas. Unfortunately, that is no way to function and it finally happened one day that I couldn't get the door to unlock and no one was around. I called my boss, who immediately called Greg. A very scary story with a happy ending: We have known Greg since 2005 and had him out to our home several times since to do work on our locks. We had always thought that he was an amazing person with so much integrity and was always concerned with every job he did, making sure his charges were very reasonable. So he was the first person I thought of today when our son called us about a break-in to his home today while he was at work..and he lives in a gated condo building all the way down in Mission Hills. His girlfriend came home at lunch to find someone in their condo, pretending to be a termite inspector. The perpetrator had a key in the lock, but there was only 1 key to that lock and our son had it. How the criminal got the key, we don't know as it was also a combination lock. Greg was quite concerned when I called him and he made a huge effort to run down to our son's home tonight after all of Greg's other work today, and to make sure to change the locks for our son, so he would feel safe tonight. We are all beyond grateful for this amazing gift of time and work to make our son safe! Update: Needed Greg to replace a complicated 3-point Anderson door lock. I mistakenly call My Keys first instead of Greg - they came out and the service call alone - before any work was going to be done - was $219 - so I sent them away empty handed. No thanks! $219 just to show up at my house?? Ridiculous. I went back to Yelp and found Leading Locksmith again - and my previous review. So I called Greg - came out within 48 hours (non-emergency, the door lock still worked) for a $75 service fee, then additional $85 install plus cost of parts. The amazing part was he spent 3 hours at my home because it was a new configuration on the lock that challenged him - and he said "You don't need to pay me for learning on the job - I'm charging you the regular rate."
