Took my teenage son here for the weekend to get a haircut, mani and pedi for a huge holiday party. Dropped my son off and was told to be back in 90 minutes. I came back and was told, "sorry our barber had a conflict in his schedule and couldn't make it so we just did the mani and pedi" As a result, my son went to our big gala without having had a haircut. They didn't bother to call me right back and tell me their barber was a no show. I could have taken my kid to a barbershop nearby in time for the party. They instead said, nothing and gave me no option. I would have liked the option of turning down the entire service and rushing my son to a nearby barbershop. How in the world was this no show by their barber not worthy of an immediate call to me so I could figure out an alternative? Awful communication especially for the price. Not very well handled. Would not recommend this salon unless you want to say you went to Beverly Hills to get pampered and styled for the superficiality of it all. read more

Lea is the best hair specialist in my entire life. I have never been able to achieve such a beautiful blonde, usually it was yellow or at least turned yellow after a few washes. But everything is perfect here. Despite the fact that we do a strong bleaching, the hair remains shiny and alive. I adore Lea and definitely recommend it to everyone. Her own products are great too! You're finally there, "Just come take a seat, and I'll do your hair. He'll ask, "How do you like it?" And" What is your style?" Like an amazing client, you'll tell him with a smile. Once he has heard all that you have said, he'll get all the things he'll need for your head. He'll snip and he'll snap. He'll cut it away, the hair you don't like. What more shall I say? And then he will guide you to sit in the chair, where he then can wash and rinse out your hair. A nice scalp massage, just relax and feel fresh. Salon Lea Journo is simply the best! Mariano is the hair whisperer. I've been going to Chaz dean, and they're good, but they take forever when they do my hair. I went out on a limb and tried Mariano and he got me in and out in an hour. Amazing! Went in for a blow dry and Xavier Coll transformed by dry, lack luster hair into a masterpiece! Had a glossing treatment (lipgloss for my hair according to Megan, styling assistant) and he trimmed it and viola a new me! Her hair was so dry and severely damaged, but after going to Mariano (same stylist I had) her hair is so silky and shiny now and no split ends! She says it's a lovely salon with great people too. She's done over 10 sets of extensions on me and they've been so good that nobody even KNOWS I have extensions unless I volunteer the information. He has magic fingers that make your hair look amazing without even taking scissors to it. The Salon is a little hard to get to if you don't know where it is, but it's definitely a hidden gem! The Lea Journo salon was open on a Monday, which is unheard of for salons and catered to our needs amazingly! First of all, you feel transported to another beautiful universe when sitting in the salon which is located hovering above the beautiful hotel pool and the service was great. Recently she highlighted my hair the currently popular silver/gray and I could not be happier. This review is for CRYSTAL PRAY. In short, she's amazing!! I needed to go from a dark blonde to very, very bright blonde in a short amount of time. A friend sent me to Crystal. She saw the photo I had to follow and adjusted it according to what would be most flattering for my skin tone. I was there for 5 hours, but the results were incredible! My hair looked natural and healthy. And EXACTLY like the photo. Only better. :) She is a genius with blondes and puts so much care and professionalism into everything she does. She cares so much about her work, and about gaining the trust of all her clients. I will come back to her. I will recommend her without hesitation. I came back for a hair cut later in the week and literally said, "whatever you want to do is fine." She gave me a fantastic cut that gave my thick, wavy hair much more volume and shape (it can get heavy and look like a triangle otherwise). It was great. Bonus: she's super laid back and so easy to talk to. None of the gossip that sometimes plague salons (and frankly wear me out). So I appreciate that as well. Jesus - Yes, by the time you walk out with a very stylish men's haircut the experience was truly 'religious'. Where others rush a mens hair cut and use too much clippers, Jesus finds the perfect blend btwn. using clippers for a tight blend, he also masters the art of 'scissor blending' - My haircut is very unforgiving when rushed and every time I come out of my appointment I feel like a million bucks. For those of you looking for that 'proper mens hair cut' that is extremely tapered on the side and so modern, don't waste your time @ a barber as Jesus will give it that 'extra touch' to set it apart from a typical buzz-cut. I recently had my hair cut at Lea Journo Salon, The Salon located above the pool area of the gorgeous and famous Beverly Wilshire Hotel. I was referred by a friend of mine who raved about Marc Bensemhoun a very attractive frenchman, and his technique of cutting and coloring hair. I had to try him! Immediately I booked an appointment ,which I was expecting to take forever like it has with many other salons in the area, but Marc fit me in within a couple days of making the appointment and was as accommodating and sweet as they come. He even encouraged me to send him photos of the look I wanted to accomplish so he could review it and see how my skin tone and coloring would look with what I wanted. I was so impressed by how thorough and professional he was and was so comfortable going into the appointment knowing he was prepared to accomplish the look I aspired for. I model for a living so getting the right cut and color is essential for me in bookings and it has been difficult to find someone who knew how to get that perfect blonde color that looks "beachy" and effortless but without looking overly ombre or trendy. I knew he was the man or the job, and I was so right! Marc sat with me at the beginning of our appointment and we went over everything from my texture to the options I had in color and what he recommended. I felt at east and told him I totally trusted his opinion and was in his hands. Marc broke the base of the bad skinny highlights I had prior to give me a clean slate, and then did Balayage hi lights to give me a true blonde color that looks natural and bright. I couldn't be happier with my cut and color and feel he really allowed me to feel more confident in myself by giving me texture, shape, and color that highlighted my facial structure and skin tone. I am absolutely in love and walked outta that Salon with a pep in my step feeling sexy and beautiful. My agents were also obsessed with my new found hair and I will NEVER go to anyone else again. Crystal Pray is not only a genius when it comes to my color, but she's absolutely lovely. That's something she shares with every member of the Lea Journo team...they're all so nice! 5 stars for my 5 star hairdresser Jesus! I've been going to him for longer than I can remember and have followed from salon to salon and that's how I ended up here. The place is a bit hard to find the first time, but after that it's no biggie. Super cute and trendy and everyone that works there is very friendly and professional. I have thick wavy hair and Jesus is the only hair dressed that knows how to work it. The best part is that the haircut looks even better over time! I've found that anyone else that has ever tried to cut it leaves me feeling like my hair is "heavy" - but not Jesus. He even does my color and I love it. Agree with previous posts - you always leave Lea Journo Salon looking and feeling like a supermodel. The salon itself is gorgeous, bright, clean, and chic. The staff is exceptionally sweet and helpful. For a cut, Angelique is AMAZING - the first thing we did was talk about what look I wanted and what my morning routine can handle in terms of styling and upkeep. I have long thin hair (lots of it, but its thin) and I generally don't have time to do a blow dry when I wash it in the mornings and I'm just not that skilled with styling products. I needed a look that could air dry and still have shape and body without falling flat. The result was a cut that is PERFECT for my hair texture and length and lifestyle. It's so versatile! Angelique is a true artist and pays attention to every detail - she will not let you walk away until every strand is perfection.
