Anyways I impulsively decided to give her a try after looking through her ig @hairbyjiwon and I'm so glad I did. I showed her pictures of what type of balayage I was looking for and she gave me exactly what I wanted....Which has never happened to me haha. I can't say enough great things about eco-friendly Loft 647 and the team here, especially the lovely Crystal Pray! I got my hair done by Crystal over the weekend and had a great experience. As soon as I stepped inside, I was warmly greeted and offered some iced green tea, yum! The salon was bright and airy and surrounded by plenty of thriving indoor plants, it was like a rainforest inside! Being indecisive about whether I wanted to stay light for summer or go back to the dark side, Crystal helped me decide what direction I wanted to go in. Balayage highlights and a couple inches cut off was the game plan! Crystal is so down to earth and it was really fun chatting with her while she did my hair. She also explained to me how the salon is part of Green Circle Salons, meaning the salon recycles & repurposes everything from hair, foils, colour-tubes, papers and plastics, glass, spa waste AND diverts excess hair chemicals from being rinsed down the drain. Not to mention the plants inside the salon serve a purpose aside from looking pretty- they cleanse the air of hair chemical impurities like ammonia! I got my hair done today by Nico Adams and honestly this has been my most favorite transformation yet. She is the best colorist I've ever been to. She listens to what you ask for and adds in her own opinion as well for the health of your hair. My appointment today was more of a project but she walked me through the entire process, since new hair is always scary. When it was all done I couldn't stop saying "I love it!" She even styled it beautifully! I've never had my hair this color before and I can't get over how pretty it is. It's so perfect for fall. I would follow this girl to the ends of the earth so I can always have the best colorist on the westside. Be careful. I went in to go lighter blonde. I was with Lori who's fantastic but she assured me I would be great with Dianne Anyway I went in to see Dianne and asked her to keep the roots darker because we had just bleached them a few weeks ago. She proceeded to put bleach all over my roots and spread it down. She then left me there for about 40 minutes to work on another client. When it was time to wash it out, large chunks of my hair was falling out. I started to panic. They attempted to blow dry and I had to stop due to my hair falling out completely from the root every time a brush went through it I took Dianne outside and she admitted that a patch of my hair was missing. The whole rest of the day was a blur due to the shock and horror. I ended up leaving the salon and had to buzz cut my head. Dianne never admitted how badly she fucked up and the rest of the stylists didn't either. Because Lori advised me to go with Dianne I'm hoping she will call me to apologize or at least acknowledge how horrible this has been. Anyway I'd suggest please any blondes do not go to Dianne she's careless never checked my hair at all and it burned off and no apologies afterwards. Be very careful !! In the meantime I got a wig which loft 647 paid for thank God! So it's between my wig and a buzz cut. If lorri is cool and chic she will call me I'll keep you guys posted :( read more

She completely transformed my hair, and I couldn't be more grateful! I came in doing primarily highlights on my darker blonde hair that were a) wayyyy overprocessed and b) had the ugliest and unnatural grow out. She just got it right away. She listened to my concerns, and gave me what feels like new, young, and fresh hair. Just adore James Thelman. I used to go to him when he was at Eden by Eden Sassoon and he is amazing. This visit at Loft 647 i decided to dye my hair for the first time. Working on virgin hair, James was able to lift my colour without any bleach. It looked beautiful but the ends didn't get as blonde as I'd hoped. He cleared his schedule for the next morning and insisted i return to see him then. He's just one of those lovely people who wants to make sure you're happy and he goes the extra mile to ensure you leave the salon feeling just so. The best haircut of my life was also thanks to James a few months ago. Loft 647 is a really lovely salon and they recycle everything! I've been looking for a new salon and new hairdresser and I'm so lucky that i was referred to Jiwon at Loft 647. The ambiance was so relaxing and bright, the front desk staff was polite, and Jiwon was fantastic. I went in for balayage hair color and walked out with the most natural looking blonde - i love it. She was thorough, but also efficient. In the past, the same look has taken other hairdressers 6+ hours. Jiwon did an excellent job in about half the time. I've never been more obsessed with my hair than I was after getting my hair colored by Nico at Loft 647. Hands down the best colorist to ever touch my mane. I was absolutely blown away with the attention to detail and level of care she took while doing my color. She used techniques I've never seen before and even took the time to do color on the underside of my hair so it looks incredible when it's down or up in a ponytail. Nobody has EVER done that before. She also used olaplex during the color so my hair feels and looks healthier now than it did before! She's just the best, not to mention she's a total sweetheart and it made the whole process fun and enjoyable! First of all, I was blown away as soon as I walked in. Between the skylights and beautiful foliage, I was extremely impressed. As soon as I sat down I was greeted with (honestly) one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had.... and to top it off, I got to relax to some of the best early 90's jams EVER. It was heaven. This salon was recommend to me by a friend and it was my first time bleaching and toning my hair in over 9 years. Diane was absolutely incredible. We had to have talked about different shades of blonde for at least 30 min. She always made sure my scalp was feeling alright. I told her I loved a root look and she toned my hair perfectly to give it that little bit of regrowth effect. Also gave some great tips on how to keep my hair nice and healthy after it's bleaching. First off, Loft 647 is such a cool space with a super cool vibe happening and when you are sitting in a chair for 3+ hours it is important to feel good about your surroundings and feel taken care of.. and this salon delivers on that. They made sure I was hydrated (alkaline water none the less), they made sure my phone was charged, they made sure I was comfortable in my shampoo chair, they made sure my car wasn't going to get a ticket. These may seem like simple little things.. but in Los Angeles salons these things are often overlooked and clients are made to feel like they are lucky to just be there at all. I am so happy my hairstylist and magical blonde genie, Crystal Pray, has made this salon her new home.. I am a natural brunette who had been struggling with having brassy blonde color for quit some time and Crystal took me to the most gorgeous platinum blonde that I thought I could only dream about. She understood exactly what I was saying, she managed my expectations and I truly got more than I could hope for. We have played with rose golds and pinks and those have all come out amazing as well. She is always honest with me about what I can and cannot do - like right now.. my hair is taking a little platinum break because she would like my hair to remain healthy and I have a darker base with low-lights that looks incredible and really natural. I love going to Dianne Degnan to color my hair. Dianne has colored my hair red, plum and even took me from plum to blonde and I mean very blonde. I am always amazed at her work she is the best and I've been going to her since she was at Sassoon as color director. I remember once asking her to do a part of my hair blonde as another hairdresser had done but she told me they had damaged my hair and it wouldn't take more bleach.
