Now, you can honestly order almost anything you might need for a classic mustang, but most shops hear that you have a classic and they won't even look at it. My transmission (original) had a leak and was slipping. After calling numerous other shops, I found AllTrans. We were a little challenged in scheduling due to the Mapunapuna roads that flood (who wants to drive through that with their classic auto?) but once I was able to drop off my baby, all was well. The owner, Mike, wanted to take a look at her before I departed to ensure that it wasn't just a simple vacuum leak. Nope, tired old tranny that needed some TLC. Pricing seemed fair (my son is in the business on another island and felt pricing was reasonable, too) and communication was good as they performed a complete overhaul. When I finally headed down to pick her up after a little more than a week (I wasn't in a rush), wouldn't you know it but the neutral safety switch decided to die. I was able to order the part to ship to them directly and got a call that she was good to go the same day the part arrived. Mike had personally done the test drive to ensure that all was good and made sure I knew about some other items that he felt need to be addressed. Hopefully my baby will be good for another 50 years (LOL) but I won't hesitate to call AllTrans if I need any further work.

This review is regarding the experience I had with Neue Auto last week, when I brought in my car to…read moreget the key warning light checked out. The key warning light had come on in my dashboard a little over a week ago and has stayed on ever since. After doing some initial research on the internet about what it could be, I began to get concerned that it could potentially be a safety issue later on. All the worrying prompted me to send an inquiry out via Yelp, and Neue Auto was the first to respond, saying they're able to take a look at it. They were up front with their diagnostic fee and had an appointment time available the following morning. I brought the car in the next day, and Alvin (their service advisor) checked me in. I explained what was going, and he said they would run the diagnostics and see if they can figure out what the root cause might be. They offered a courtesy one-way Uber ride to get to where I needed to go, so I didn't have to wait at the shop, which was very much appreciated. After the shop ran all the tests, the results came back inconclusive (i.e., test findings indicated no error codes that could be causing the key warning light to turn on). Alvin took the care and time to explain everything they did, in great detail. Alvin was very transparent and provided his professional inputs regarding the situation. He recommended to just keep monitoring the situation, since no error codes were showing, which were related to the key warning light. He said, at this time it's too early to say what exactly is going on, as other symptoms would need to present themselves in order to figure out a precise fix -- and this is regardless of whether it is getting serviced at Neue Auto or some place else. Given that they couldn't find anything wrong, they waived my diagnostic fee, for which I'm extremely grateful. Even though the diagnostic findings didn't reveal anything, I am appreciative for the time and efforts that Neue Auto put in to investigate the issue. At least I have a little more peace of mind now, knowing the vehicle is still safe to operate (even with the key warning light on) and that it won't suddenly die out on me while I am driving it. Thankful for the reassurances that Alvin gave me regarding my concerns. Mahalo again to the team at Neue Auto for their help and in-depth assessment! Neue Auto is a rip off and I'm still so pissed off about this that I finally decided to post it…read more This incident actually occurred in 2023 when I had a Kia Forte, which I no longer have because the repairs that they charged me over $800 for were not effective. On top of that, they would not let me take my car home that Friday (because I worked weekends) or they were gonna charge me an additional $150 to RE-assess my vehicle AGAIN that Monday. So in addition to the $847.80 that they charged me I had to rent a car which costed me an additional hundred something dollars. My car kept dying as I was driving, and I had previously had a AAA read out that said that my alternator was fine. Neue Auto insisted that it was the alternator and the serpentine belt that needed to be replaced and guaranteed their work. I authorized them to do the work because they insisted they were the professionals, but this did not fix the problem. I attempted to remedy this with the manager and instead of doing things in writing so I could have documentation he insisted on calling and trying to smooth talk his way out of the promises that his business made. Needless to say I had to replace the vehicle. The reason that I am saying that they're a rip off, is not only because the vehicle was still presenting the same problems, but also because this is what they sent me as "proof" that my alternator was not working. Please keep in mind they never actually gave me this receipt for the readout, and it's stapled to a bunch of other receipts that I have no idea what they are. To sum it up, avoid Neue A uto or risk unethical business practices that don't actually fix your vehicle but still take your money. I would've given them zero stars, but that's not possible. *** EDITED TO RESPOND ** Fast forward to now - Like I said, I'm still so pissed off that YOU - Nick, owner/manager promised that the alternator and serpentine belt would fix my vehicle and it didn't. And instead of fixing the problem, you talked around in circles acting like your business doesn't have any obligation to actually stand behind its work. The guy smiled and pointed to the credit union at the corner and said there's an ATM right there. Phew! Left my keys with them and took a short walk to get some cash. He has the lowest prices compared to other shops. He is honest, knowledgeable, and always goes straight to the problem and fixes it fast! Most jobs were done the same day. Here is a list of the jobs he has done on both of my cars: changed the gasket in-take manifold, rotor, disk brake pads, brake caliper, CV joint boot kit, driver front axle, valve cover gasket, spark plugs, air filter, and A/C filter; changed transmission oil & AT Filter Kit. Placed new starter & new alternator in both of my cars. He replaced OESpectrum Strut & 2 Rear OESpectrum Shock; changed 4 New O2 Sensors on my van; he correctly diagnosed a multipurpose pressure leak problem that was too much of a challenge; replaced the brake fluid dispenser and brake caliper with hardware; installed a new radiator & radiator hose kit and curved radiator hose with thermostat premium, thermostat housing gasket and new water reservoir all in one job; installed new water pump, cabin air filter and flush all in one job; installed power steering hose, rack & pinion; changed spark plugs wire Ignition coil set; installed EGR Valve; fixed the doors lock actuator and the stoplight switch. I started having issues with the transmission of my older model SUV which started approx. six…read moremonths ago. I took my SUV to my normal mechanic to be checked out including whether i had enough transmission fluid which i couldn't check myself because it was a sealed transmission. My mechanic ( who is not a transmission specialist) supposedly added transmission fluid as part of the annual maintenance and told me that i may have to replace my transmission at $$$$$. The transmission still had issues - which weren't major so i continued driving my SUV. However there was always a concern in the back of my mind that something worse could happen one day. So for my peace of mind - I went to Yelp to check out transmission specialists and found Ray's Transmission who had good reviews and was located in town ( Queen Street) I called and connected to a friendly lady who scheduled an appointment the following week to check out my transmission. I arrived at the appointment and met Neal, the owner. He discussed with me the possible causes and even showed me a disassemble transmission in his shop that he was working on to point out possible causes of my issues. I went back the next day after being told my car was ready. Apparently the issue was that the Transmission fluid was low! He filed it and the transmission worked great. The price was reasonable and acceptable to me. My transmission now works great w/o the prior issues. He also advised me of several other issues with my car ( non - transmission related) that i should follow-up on along with servicing recommendations for my transmission. I appreciated their honesty and liked that they didn't pressure me to fix it with them. Overall: I'd recommend to family and friends and definitely return if needed. What they predicted came to pass so yeah... they know their stuff.
