My wife and I got a cinnamon, sugar, and strawberry crepe this evening at the food truck festival at Pierce Park. We were on a roll, successfully sampling a variety of different foods from different trucks, and after great successes at a few others, Le Prince really hit the brakes on our evening at the park. The service took about a half an hour for a single crepe, and what finally came out was far less inspired than I had any reason to anticipate. It was, in a word, bland. That might have been because I'm not sure they remembered to put sugar on it, and a distinct lack of sauce made it quite dry. The strawberries were small, warm, and tasteless. The crepe itself was thicker than I expected, and mostly just tasted like bread... bread with cinnamon and flavorless strawberries but not much sweetness.
