I had such a fun stay here! Intentionally booked this hotel because of the mention of a DJ in some reviews. Since I would be staying here on a Saturday night, I figured it would be a good option if I didn't want to find a bar or seek out nightlife. It was perfect. The check-in takes place in the bar/lobby and the hotel staff were personable and warm. The rooms are tiny but have personality and a unique touch. I did try to play a record on the record player next to my bed but it didn't it quite work (bummer!). I loved that they have Le Labo (Santal 33) for the products- it's one of my favorite scents and the towels were huge and soft. Location is near lots of bars both on the same street and in the surrounding area--Les Justes and Dirty Dick are good for cocktail bars. The lobby has a nice vibe at night with the DJ and overall crowd and as I was leaving :-( Sunday afternoon there was a band coming to play so I imagine they rotate musicians throughout the week. I stayed here for 3 nights. I didn't have any issues with the hotel but it's definitely not a 4 star hotel. It's a small, boutique hotel that I would classify as 3 stars. First, there isn't even a lobby with a reception area. There's a communal dining table with a staff member and a laptop who checks you in. I completely didn't even realize they were staff because they blended in with the other patrons who were using the dining table. I had room 31 which is fine for a solo traveler, but definitely not for a couple. It's small and inconveniently designed. There's no door from the sleeping area to the shower and sink. The toilet is a separate, closed off area, away from the sink which I would find awkward if I was sharing with a partner or a friend.The lobby also hosts a club and many DJ's so it tends to get quite loud and packed at night. There are also plenty of clubs on the same street that I could hear at night when I'm trying to sleep. It wasn't really an issue for me because I can sleep through anything, but I can see how that would be a problem for other guests. read more

So while we were bar hopping.... We found this place. It looked more like a hotel than anything else but we decided to stop in and check it out. The drinks are made at a table/bar. They have food service if you're hungry. Some reg tables and chairs to sit at and everything else is pretty much lounge chairs aka couches, unique seating areas. They even have a stripper pole area. The service was good, and the drinks were strong. They had really good pricing. They played 90's Rap - Cali style. We loved the atmosphere and the fact that we found a place that played rap. It was a really cool spot. We liked it so much that we hung out here twice. The music was pretty consistent on both nights that we came here. The servers spoke enough English to communicate with us. The 2nd time we came we wanted to sit the in the red area aka where the stripper pole was and they were very accommodating and even got us a table for our drinks. It's a super cool spot and very low key. The menu's were super cute. They looked like newspaper pages. Loved the creativity. We went downstairs to use the bathroom and it was all red! Red happens to be my favorite color. It also had a super cute seating area down there. read more

Le Pigalle is a charming boutique hotel just south of Boulevard de Clichy, and close to the Pigalle Metro stop. To say it's got a convenient location is an understatement! Upon arrival, we were greeted by smiling staff who took care of us immediately. It's a little unconventional, you're checked in at a communal desk right inside the doors you walk through, and there is a cafe to your right. For us it was part of the charm. Everything was clean and well-decorated. We booked Pigalle 17 which I was concerned would be too small, but it was, in fact, just right. Our windows opened up to the street below - which was noisy with city sounds (bar, cars) at night but not terribly - we slept just fine. The amenities were great. The towels were nice and fluffy, the bed was comfortable and despite the small room - there was enough for 2. They use Le Labo products which I appreciate, but the scent they carry is the popular one that I don't like too much anymore - and it's a very strongly scented one. Everywhere you look was something charming - from the tote bag, to the room key, to the books and magazines. The food at the cafe was very buttery - but delicious! And I was thrilled to learn that they provide almond milk. There are a lot of great restaurants around, good shopping - and with the Metro, it's really not too far from much besides Pere LeChaise Cemetery which is far from everything, really! We are really happy we booked here, and have recommended it to a few people since! Merci! read more

Le Pigalle is one of the most beautifully designed hotels I have ever stayed at - and I have stayed at a lot of boutique hotels around the world. I booked a beautiful room, the Pigalle 15. I loved it. I loved everything about it, really. The small details were eminent. From the yellow neon light to the art around. From the Cereal Magazine to the Le Labo soaps. The minibar stocks up on caramels, chocolate and lollypops from Sebastian Gaudard. How amazing is that? Loved all the cute packaging all around. The in-room iPad was such a cool addition as well. All the informations was on the iPad, replacing the 'normal' guidebook. You could order room service as well, which I did in the morning. Do I need to say how fantastic it was, to eat breakfast in bed with doors opening out to my French-style balcony? The breakfast was amazing, really. It is all based on á la carte options, which I do prefer as well. I ordered a sourdough bread with cream cheese, soft boiled egg and herbs. A croissant with jam and butter. And a cup of filtered coffee, naturally. All three things were equally amazing. The sourdough bread was heavenly, lightly toasted to perfection. Topped with creamy cream cheese, the egg in halves and fresh herbs. A simple, but genius combination. My 'breakfast dessert' (yes, something like that exists) was the perfect croissant brought to Le Pigalle from legendary baker Sébastien Gaudard. It was flaky and buttery, but still light. It comes with an amazing homemade fruit compote. Was pretty much like heaven, and I ate every bit of it together with this dreamy croissant. Top that off with an equally fantastic cup of filter coffee, with coffee beans supplied by Le Téléscope - a legend in the Parisian new-wave coffee culture. I was happy - and basically the best possible way you can start your day. The neighbourhood is one of my favourites, together with Le Marais and Canal St. Martin. It is close to one of the my favourite restaurants in the entire world, Le Pantruche, making it a very pleasant place to sleep. They want a neighbourhood feel to it - and they definitely have that. I am quite in love with this place. It surely is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Boutique hotels are a passion for me. Le Pigalle proves why such a passion exists. read more

Loved it. Spent 4 fantastic nights in one of the most comfortable beds (the bunk bed someone else complained about - it was divine for me) and well appointed spaces I've ever been in with some seriously wonderful toiletries. They collaborate a lot - from flowers to art to design to food, even their keys. It's a lovely way to take in that much more of Paris and specifically Montmarte. This will be my new Paris home - so close to the 12 and lots of great cafes, which they have a great one here as well. The staff have all been lovely and nothing but kind. No one has treated me differently for being American and I can't say that I've felt they even noticed except to say they knew I'd just come from New York. This hotel is so very cool and aesthetic, and in a wonderful location for strolling, shopping, partying, and accessing other areas. Not to mention they have a lovely bar/restaurant. BUT some of the basic comforts are off: itchy sheets, shampoo in the conditioner bottle, an open shower that causes the whole bathroom area to get wet, nowhere to put a suitcase, a blocked full mirror, wavering internet, etc... read more

Le Pigalle is a very nice hotel. My wife and I stayed with them for a few days on the tail end of our Paris trip. The staff is professional and very friendly. The room was on the smaller side and they bed took up most of the space but Paris is super expensive so this is understandable. Le Pigalle is in a very nice area too with lots of shops, restaurants and other points of interest. Best of all, the Metro is about 30 seconds away. read more

You get a very small room with a bunk bed for 300 euros per night. The furniture in the room smells very weird. They promote it as a designer hotel that every room is designed by some person who is popular or something... We thought that it was going to be amazing but I don't even think that inhaling that smell is healthy!! The hotel is close to bunch of nice and touristy places but definitely look for other hotels to stay. When we complained about the smell, they offered us a glass champagne, so we keep quiet possibly? The next night they changed our room but guess what, it was an exactly same designed and same smelly room. It was Paris Fashion Week that time, and everywhere was taken in the city so we had to stay one more night and checked out. The reason I give two stars and not one, is some of their staff. Not all of them but only two of them who were aware of the smell and all situation, and really tried to help. Never staying there ever again. And definitely do not suggest anyone either. read more
