Cute little Parisian Bistro, inexpensive and really good. Full Irish breakfast or coffee and pastries for €13. Service was very good.

Came here for lunch and it was delicious. Their lunch specials are reasonably priced. I got the soup and quiche lunch with salad for 13 euros. Soup was potato leek and quiche was Parma ham. It was so good. We ended up getting a strawberry tart and a pecan tart. YUMMY! Will hopefully come back before my trip is over.

I am sitting at Le Petit Parisien as I write, enjoying a French petit déjeuner (breakfast)... 1* For the place : From the outside it already looks French. The 2 little tables set the tone with the window display. Who wouldn't want to travel from Dublin to Paris in a second ? Come one in :) 1* For the music : Right now I am back to the golden age. I feel like wearing a flapper dress and putting feather on my head band ! Jazz lovers, this place is for you 1* For the food : I am having a croissant and pain au chocolat. It tastes like home. Yes, I am French ;) The cappucino is amazing and the orange juice is so fresh, I can hear the orange falling from the tree :D 1* For the people : I never remember what language to speak when I am there. My French blood speaks and they understand. It's Sunday morning and this was the only place open in town at 9h30am - that I know of. I feel welcome and inspired to write a glorious review ! 1* For the overall experience : I am relaxed and a bit homesick. It reminds me of a movie called 'Midnight in Paris' about time travelling and Paris. It will give you an idea of how I feel right now ;) Who wants to have breakfast ?

Poached eggs and pretty amazing brown bread
    Brendan W.

The food for the most part is pretty good. What destroys this place for me is the one staff member who is BEYOND rude it made me not able to enjoy my breakfast here a fortnight ago. I have purchased sandwiches and pastries from here on occasion. LOVE their sambos in particular. When I decided to have breakfast here I opted for the poached egg with brown bread. The bread was incredible. Unfortunately there is this person who works here, seems quite senior too and is just the most incredibly rude individual I have ever met in my life. I was also served by her at their smaller branch on Dame Street during the summer. I could never forget someone that rude. I want to go back. But if I pass the window and she is there I will not be going in. Who ever runs this place needs to reevaluate their policies regarding staff attitude towards customers because the last time I was here it was full of Americans looking not very impressed. I know they are used to over the top service but really there is no need for this person to be so rude and Americans will be precious about it and review accordingly. Just....... Like..... I.... Am....... Doing.......... Hold on, did I just imply that I am American AND precious?

Mozzarella, tomato and basil pesto baguette!

I have mixed feelings about this place! In terms of the food, I couldn't fault it. I had the mozzarella, tomato and basil pesto baguette and it was really tasty, served with a small salad on the side. I then had the lemon meringue pie which is the main reason I went here, I've walked by here so many times and the window display of French patisserie always grabs my attention so I decided today was the day I was going to finally sample the goods. The pie was amazing, exactly what I expected and the perfect size too. In terms of decor, it does have that vintage French feel but it's a bit on the dark side. There's not that much room either so when the people at the table behind me were leaving it was quite a tight fit for them to get out without disturbing the people at the tables beside us. The service, however, was the real drawback for me. I was left standing until I approached a staff member to be seated, I then had to get staff's attention again to order as I was left waiting quite a while without anybody approaching me. Would I go back here? Yes! But I would be more inclined to get a take-away and bring it to Stephen's Green for a picnic instead of sitting in again!

    Esspresso con panna
    Rowan M.

I luv the place, I usually go there for a brunch and its quite good. Excellent coffee (try esspresso con panna) and tea. My fav is their soups and tarts, i cant get enough with it. However, i did not like their hot chocalatee at all. Very light and milky!. But overall,The best part of the place is the parisian atmosphere. The only draw back is that its small and usually packed all the time. And If you end up there , which i recommend, you must try their mixed berries tart.

2 words....hidden gem! Personally I just love everything small, charming cute and anything that's abit out of the ordinary which is why I probably love this teeny spot so much. Sort of hidden away on Wicklow street I've walked past here so many times. Starving one day my friend brought me in here. It was wedged. Now to be fair its very small inside but we found a little table at the back. The lunch menu isn't massive so I ordered tea and a club the chicken sandwich. For such a cosy spot the sandwich was massive, paired with a dainty china tea pot fit for the queen. It really was delicious. I think it cost just over 10 quid for it. Tasty treat all round.....perfect for a non planned romantic brunch with the fella, perfect for med shopping cuppa with your mum, perfect for anything. Love it and will defo be visiting again :)

Since I don't eat red meat, I was very excited to see a vegetarian Irish breakfast option. I ordered this as well as a mocha latte. Despite the rain, my friend and I sat outside since all of the indoor seating was occupied. Thankfully some heaters provided warmth for what could've been a chilly breakfast. Very quickly the lattes came out which my friend and I sipped on. They were soooo cute, mine had the design of a little bear on top! The latte itself was hot and not too sweet, the perfect start to the experience. After a few short minutes, the food came out! Immediately, my friend and I dug in. It was honestly everything I expected and even more! There were no weak links on the plate and there were generous portions as well. I sat there for a while working my way through my delicious plate!! Overall, I was very happy with my experience at Beanhive. It was an aesthetic cafe that also provided a hearty breakfast. I would definitely recommend.

The first day we arrived to Dublin, I had a bit of a headache. I sent my husband in search of coffee and a bite in the hopes of warding off the headache. He brought back a tuna melt and mocha from The Bald Barista. Both were excellent. The tuna melt was herbaceous and flavorful and the mocha was the perfect blend or rich chocolate and strong espresso. So, a few days later when my mom arrived and was hoping for coffee and a bite, I said--I've got just the place! On that visit, we enjoyed our coffee and food in house. You order at the counter where you enter and if you're dining in, you simply take the stairs to the dining room and they'll bring you both your food and coffee. This time, I ordered the same coffee (why mess with a good thing) and a yogurt with everything (fruit, nuts, seeds--the works!). The shop itself is cute, warm, and inviting. The service is top notch with beautifully friendly folks working in here (including the Bald Barista himself). They prepare and serve up coffee as a city better than any other city in the world. Sorry Seattle, Portland, its the truth. As a full fledge coffee nerd/snob I am looking for great coffee nothing more. Also if they don't roast their own beans and they are just serving someone else's coffee they will never get above a 3 star from me. I am looking strictly at the coffee and the customer service in my reviews. Accents was fantastic. When I walked in the Barista, a pretty little red headed Irish woman was doing some spectacular latte art on a Mocha, she smiled and asked me what I would like. I order just a regular Latte. They do not roast their own beans, but she was out of coffee in the grinder, she reached for a new sealed bag and I caught the name, McCabe's. I was unfamiliar so afterward I looked them up. here is the link if anyone is interested. (https://mccabecoffee.com) Local award winning Cork roaster. I watched the Barista, fill the grinder and then told me it would be a minute as she needed to dial in the espresso. I shook my head in a circle like I didn't get it but okay. She had it dialed in after 3 shots. looked like 18 in and 36 out. She was a pro, steamed my milk while the shot pulled in about 24 seconds. I ordered my drink to go but it was still presented with great art and a smile. Told me where the sugar and lids were but suggested I tried it before i added anything, that the espresso is very good. I tasted it and said, "You are right, needs nothing" and it didn't. BEST LATTE I HAVE HAD THIS TRIP TO DUBLIN. I am breaking my own rule here, I can because they are my rules, they don't roast but they use fantastic local Micro-roasted beans and prepare my drink to perfection. Don't miss this little gem the in Dublin. 5 Stars.
