Baked goods are very good. Coffee is increbible--full-bodied, almost chocolate-y, great aroma. It is espresso. Coffee, and tea served with windmill cookies that far superior to even the best store bought windmill cookie. Ollie Bol, a doughnut type pastry (no hole) was egg-y, fluffy and doughy, and delicious. The cookies are big, fresh, and taste like all ingredients in the cookie not just sugar. The chocolate chip cookies stay in my dreams. I have not tried the loaf breads but they look wonderful. The gorgonzola cheese and fig jam sandwich on spelt baguette was interesting pairing and enjoyable. The spelt baguette was the best--crunchy outside, soft inside very flavorful (unlike spelt products I've had in the States). Le Perron on Middenweg has been my morning go to spot while in Amsterdam. Fyi...this bakery cafe far exceeds Le Pain Quotidien and shames Le Madeleine versions that exist in the States. read more
