This is the only hotel we even consider in Paris (we've stayed here 5 times now). It's understated luxury...everything is perfect, but not in your face luxurious. The location in the Marais is spectacular, the service is as you'd expect for a top hotel and the rooms, while not huge, are comfortable and classy. And the breakfasts are just perfection. Not for those who want a big, brash luxury place in Paris. If you want a quaint, comfortable, romantic place in the center of the Marais but with quiet elegance, this is your place.

We stayed at the Pavillon de la Reine because Frommer's had it as the "most romantic hotel" in Paris and it also earned a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2014. The hotel is located in the Le Marais, an area that's perfect to get lost in, and right across the Place des Vosges. The staff was very friendly and helped us book a dinner reservation at a nearby restaurant at the very last minute. The hotel is charming but I thought our room was on the smaller side and a bit dark inside even when the lights were turned on. Our door lock also seemed a bit tricky to open. Big plus, the bed was wonderful and we slept well all three nights! Room temperature was also perfect. At $450 USD per night (prepaid for a lower rate) I would have hoped for a bit more but all in all, we'd stay there again because of the location, quietness and intimacy.

After extensive research online to the point where i felt i was in college cramming for finals. I finally decided on this hotel. I was very pleased. The pictures are accurate. We booked a deluxe room, which i read that you can request it to be a duplex-which would be 2 floors. Which i preferred to maximize the space. On the first floor we had a toilet room and bathroom. Which was updated and new, stand in shower with great pressure(if your 6 ft tall and big boned you may feel tight) modern sink. The living area was downstairs as well with a chair and small couch and desk. We left our luggage downstairs. It has a lofty feel to it which i enjoyed. Once you reach upstairs we had a kind bed and some closets in the wall to hang your clothes along with the safe. You have wifi which they say is secure but no password is needed so i don't think its secure at all. My gmail alerted me that an untrustworthy source may have attempted to sign in so i didn't email, but to be fair it could have been me signing in. Concierge spoke English and unfortunately was unable to get the young guys name he was there most days till about 7 pm he was young and thin/average, brown kinda long hair. He was so nice and helpful. And i wish i would have asked him. Its private and has a gate it can easily be passed if you don't look to the left, but tourists kept walking by and would go to the courtyard and take pics. Its located in the Marais (3rd district) which is a nice location across the place des voseges park which is nice too. I would recommend to friends. i think its averagely priced for paris, and i dont have any complaints. which i heard over and over again the horror stories of so many unhappy travelers with their room. The seine river was a 20 minute walk and in paris you can very easily take the subway to anywhere you want to go. And this location did not feel as touristy as many other places we walked to did.

In the heart of Marais District of Paris this hotel is c'est magnifique. The area itself is renown for its beautiful park surrounded by fashion stores, bistros, brasseries and art galleries. Parisians frequent this area. Le meilleur hotel. Simply the best in Paris as the Parisians would claim. The Pavillon is extravagant beginning with the court yard which you must enter through to get to the hotel. Modern designing meets classic french design and done with subtle elegance. The hotel's designs screams of french history as Victor Hugo's former residents is across the street and you may possibly presume his spirit talked to the designers of The Pavillon to capture true french beauty.

Although I had a rear side room, so no view of the street, I was very happy with it. The windows were able to open to the other building however you could have coffee by the window and the room was incredibly private. The blackout curtains were a game changer too! I slept peacefully each night and although the rooms aren't large, they use every inch of the space and was very well planned out. The breakfast was actually one of my favorite parts about being here. You are able to have breakfast in your room or downstairs in the breakfast room. The breakfast rooms decor was lovely and I looked forward to my breakfast every morning! Highly recommend, the staff is lovely and the hotel is clean and my favorite small hotel I have stayed at thus far in Paris. The location is awesome, there are many places to eat and shop (must go vintage shopping while in the area as well).

We had a double room with a small balcony that faced the street. It was perfect in every way. The employees were so kind and helpful and spoke beautiful English to our sad French (but we tried!). We did 4 days in Paris and 4 days in the Loire Valley, returning to Paris for our last night. After staying here during the first part of our trip, I cancelled our 2nd Paris hotel and rebooked this one for our last night. It was that perfect. We can't wait to return and without question we will stay here again. Many thanks to the staff at Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais for making our stay so lovely.

After a lot of researching and back and forth I selected Hotel Diana for my 4 night stay in Paris…read more I booked directly through their website which was super easy. I selected the queen size bed room - my close friend selected the full size bed room. We arrived in the early evening and check in was quick. Fortunately the lift /elevator was working as we had a lot of luggage it all fit as well as myself . The room was small and basic, which I expected being in downtown Paris. The bathroom was simple with a bathtub shower combo. The bed was comfortable and there was a working a/c however it didn't really get the room super cold but kept it comfortable for summer. Fortunately the heat wave was over by the time we arrived. Tne bathroom did get very warm if you were styling your hair or doing your makeup. I would suggest bringing a small portable fan with you if coming in tne summer . The location is the selling point of this hotel. Walking distance to so many cute restaurants and cafes. 5 minute walk to Notre Dame and the Sienne River. Felt perfectly safe walking around day or night even solo. Usually there were young men working the front desk. They were always polite however I wish they were able to provide a little more suggestions where to go or how to get around for a first time visitor. Great budget hotel in the 5th.

When reading this review, you must consider the typical budget Parisian hotel: small, cramped…read morebathroom, lack of AC, etc. This hotel more than adequately addresses them all. The room that we had was relatively spacious, with a double bed and some room to move around. The mattress was very comfortable and linens were perfectly clean (no gross bed covering that you typically find in hotels). There was also a relatively spacious bathroom with a nice bath tub (a good find in Paris). The room had quiet, perfectly-working AC and the Wifi was free. There was also a safe in the room. We were basically on a roll. The room also had double windows, which eliminated the noise from the adjacent street (this was amazing). The location is also quite nice. It's in the Latin quarter, walking distance from Notre Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, and the Sorbonne. Metro access is easy as well, in fact it is on a direct RER B line from CDG airport (station St.Michele) Plus, I haven't even gotten to the best part, which was the breakfast. It was 8 euros, and there was a plentiful selection of breads, jams, cheeses, yogurts, fruits, and cereals. All was super tasty. Plus the coffee and hot chocolate were delicious, brought out in small cute pitchers so you could have a nice servicing. We went all around France during our trip and I still remember the drinks there. Yummy. Overall, the price was right, the location was good, and the rooms were great. I would recommend it to anyone.

Heated mirror in the restroom and the HVAC was good. Comfortable bed. Service was friendly - excellent welcome by Floridita (I may have her name wrong) but she gave us a tour of the important areas of the hotel when we arrived and consistently greeted us every day when she saw us. Maid service and turn down services were also friendly as were the bellmen. Only negatives: our room faced the direction of the Louvre and on Friday night there were street performers singing until close to 1am. Wasn't a problem on the other nights. Also, Brasserie du Louvre, the fancy restaurant in the hotel, was a disappointment. Overall though we would stay there again next trip.

Our bedroom was spacious, the bed nice and perfectly made, the bathroom was also beautifully decorated, and comfortable with good products. We stayed a week, the room rates are steep, but for the lovely rooms, amenities and location it receives 3 full marks, the 4th star was the service team at L'officine that single-handedly made me reconsider and ultimately saved them from a lower " grade ". We had an unfortunate incident with the concierge service, whose staff member was not interested in giving us specific instructions. They were dismissive of my husband (who doesn't speak French) when he asked for directions to the bank for foreign exchange. I had to return to the hotel and speak to her directly in French to get results. We were, for the most part, impressed by the friendliness and hospitality of the staff at their bar, as I mentioned above they were the reason I found all their front of the house redeeming qualities I'm not sure if I will stay here or try a different hotel- jury is out. For certain, I'll go back to their lovely bar.
