visited Le Méridien in the Pasadena Arcadia area and it was a very nice experience. The hotel is clean and modern. When you walk in, they have "Latitude" written in different places, which is a nice touch and gives it a stylish feel. Valet parking is required and the valet team were very nice and professional. Outside, there is some construction going on across the street, but once you are inside the hotel it feels calm and well put together. The common areas and rooms are attractive and comfortable. Overall, a very good. I am giving Le Méridien Pasadena Arcadia 4 stars.

Brought my friend here for afternoon high tea to celebrate her birthday, and we had a great time! It was super easy to make a reservation online via Opentable. Upon arrival, we were seated at the beautiful blue couches by the windows in the corner of the lobby, which surprised me because we weren't inside the restaurant. But it was very comfortable and we had a lot of space to ourselves. For $68 per person, you get a choice between a sparkling lavender lemonade mocktail or a glass of champagne. We both opted for the lavender lemonade and they were so beautiful with a gradient purple - definitely a cute instagramable drink. For the hot tea, they have 4 teas to choose from, and you can get unlimited refills. We got the Oolong Caramel Brûlée and the Jardin Bleu to share - both were delicious. I did prefer the Oolong Caramel more. The food comes on the standard 3 tier plates, and was decorated with beautiful flowers and happy birthday chocolates. Definitely tasted better and was of higher quality than other tea spots I've been to, although I wasn't as full. My favorites were the pumpkin curry soup and the egg salad pastry! What would've made their afternoon tea stand out is if they replaced all the boring plain white chinaware with ones with cute designs. Afternoon tea is all about the vibes, so that would be my only complaint. They do charge an automatic 21% service charge, which is mentioned on Opentable. Our server deserved it though as she was very helpful and sweet, refilling our teas multiple times. She even took her time taking photos for us and checked up on us often. Parking is valet only and the restaurant validates for 3 hours. Hotel is very beautiful, with nice restrooms and a little outdoor section that you can chill at.

This review is solely for the afternoon tea service. We made a reservation at 11:00am on a Friday, so it was quiet until there was a screaming baby in the same area since it is the same space as breakfast lunch and dinner. overall the food was pretty standard. Nothing stood out. We had to wait for quite a bit for the soup to come out; after half of our set was eaten. the scones were...not traditional kind; they were chocolate chips and uneven in size, provided butter and jam (no clotted cream). I was really looking forward to the ube cupcake with matcha icing. To be frank, I couldn't tell the difference if they were mini chocolate cupcakes with frosting from the bakery from local grocery store. for $68 + 21% service charge, I am not sure if i would pay a visit again.

Attended "Raise the Roof" - SGV Habitat for Humanity Annual Gala at this beautiful hotel. The event was successful and raised a lot of money. Had an amazing time with great friends and enjoyed a wonderful meal. The service from the Parking attendance to the servers was excellent!

We recently hosted Dawson Company's 77th Anniversary Party at Le Méridien, and I can't say enough great things about the experience! Our guests were absolutely blown away by the beautiful venue, flawless service, and especially the exceptional food--I received countless compliments throughout the night. We've held past company celebrations at impressive venues such as The Queen Mary, Pechanga Resort, and the Santa Anita Racetrack, but this event at Le Méridien was, by far, everyone's favorite. The combination of elegant ambiance, delicious cuisine, and seamless execution made the evening truly unforgettable. A huge thank you to the entire Le Méridien team for their professionalism, attention to detail, and warm hospitality. You made our milestone celebration spectacular from start to finish. I can't recommend this venue highly enough!

Beautiful heated pool opens at 6 am!!

My favorite part of my stay was the outdoor heated pool that opens up nice and early, 6 AM, which is super for my work schedule! Stays open late as well. Valet parking is required, which is not ideal for me as I like to come and go as I please, but the Valet staff were especially kind, welcoming, and super fast and efficient!! I got my car in fewer than 5 minutes each morning, even at 7 AM which should be a busy time for them. Beds and shower- both amazing!! The extra duvet was appreciated. Loved my spacious room and functional mini-fridge that actually kept my food cold!

Le Meridien Hotel is located in Arcadia right across Huntington Dr. from Santa Anita Racetrack and Mall. It's a high end hotel with a restaurant/bar. The property is not big and the entire perimeter of is used for parking. Only paid Valet parking available. The lobby and the restaurant/ bar of the hotel is spacious but deserted. The rooms were ok but our bathroom only had a shower. Apart from the valet there was not a lot of interaction. Service was adequate. Low energy vibe. Neither the restaurant or bar the only amenities was not inviting with no one there. You can see the small pool from the window as you check in with the pool rule signs taking up the view.

It is a beautiful hotel. I have Never stayed here before. The staff representative at the front desk was very nice. We were tired from our drive and it was a little early to check but she accommodated us. I love coming to a place where i haven't stayed and get treated very well. The rooms were pretty standard size but it was nice. It was clean, modern, and smelled good. We had the view of the park across the street which was ok. It was that or the courtyard. I was with two teenagers and they loved the pool. The hotel also has a very lovely restaurant, bar, and cafe. The restaurant is a bit pricey but it is LA. But the staff there are very nice as well. My family and I had a lovely experience here. The hotel maybe pricey for some people but I think it depends on the time and season. But, I'd come back here again. FYI: this spot is a short drive to Universal Studios and Disneyland.

View from fourth floor corner room facing west with race track to right of center
    Allen S.

Le Meridien is a relatively new hotel with a great view of the race track. The room was nicely appointed and could easily be used for business work. Most of the lights are on an automation system that would make it possible to manage energy usage when the room is not occupied. This is a nice touch. In fact, I think we could turn off most lights with a single button but not 100% certain. Of the many Marriotts I have stayed at, this one isn't in my top 50. I chalk that up to being new with an un-seasoned management staff. Restaurant execution was less than great and we never saw the restaurant manager. The last day, the bill was hard to decipher since they started charging a gratuity for the elite breakfasts. In our case, we'd always tip on the full amount before the elite discount but it was hard to figure out what they did differently that day. The hotel manager was also clueless what the bill should look like. Be advised, we stayed there over the July 4th weekend. At that time they had no EV destination charger. Really? Pasadena isn't known for a great charging destination so this was an unpleasant surprise for a new hotel.

You can go there for business and/or pleasure. I didn't have a reservation and walked in w/out one. Christopher at the front desk said that they had few rooms available and he can check me in right away. Had to run to the restroom in their lovely lobby very fast before taking care of business. Let's not forget that they welcome you with 2 warm, fresh Chocolate Chip cookies. I had to meet up with a client to discuss her wedding plans so that was the main reason that I was there this past weekend. February 28th, & March 1st. Checked out on the 2nd of March. Walked in to my room on the 7th floor #708 & later was moved to #718. I was planning to give this hotel 4 stars based on what happened in the 1st room, but since everything else went flawlessly from the restaurant, to the pool, jacuzzi, shower, etc... I will give them 5 solid stars for the employees going above & beyond for your comfort. They genuinely cared for your stay and the hospitality was just FANTASTIC in every way, on every level!!! Everybody was very helpful, nice, and caring. Both rooms that I stayed in were SUPER CLEAN, comfortable bed, sheets, towels, were crisp, and clean too. Pillows were also comfortable. Not too soft & not too firm. I had a minor or I should say a big hiccup the 1st room that I had stayed. Around 3:15am I hear this ugly, loud noise/sound coming from the bathroom. I couldn't figure out what the problem was and was keeping me awake. Plumbing problem with the toilet. Called the front desk and Simon who was working the graveyard shift refused to come up to check it out. Instead he sent the security guard by the name of William. That was not William's job. He somehow came to figure out what seemed to be the problem and long story short he helped me move my stuff to the next room down the hall. Both rooms had the following amenities:gym, meeting rooms, pool, with 4 cabanas, small store that had snacks, bottled drinks, cookies and other handy stuff. Restaurant, bar, small fridge, microwave, a safe, big closet with lots of drawers, blow dryer, shower, TV, phone, an iron, etc.. At the time of the checkout, I brought the problem that I had with the toilet and Laura, one of their managers went down on the price which was a very nice gesture coming from her. Also, I used my AAA discount towards my room. AAA always comes very handy! Ate at the restaurant twice during my stay and that's all I can say about this lovely, beautiful, comfortable hotel. Special thanks to Jaydon, the server that I had in the restaurant, gave me an exceptional service! William, the security guard, and the rest of the staff who helped me! Will definitely return next time I need some ME time or if it's work related. There are a lot of nice close by eateries all around. Has a HUGE parking lot, multiple restrooms in the lobby. Very clean, and that's all I can say for now. Thank you all!:-)

When you go to a Hampton Inn, you are assured a familiar standard in your experience. This one is…read moreno different compared to others. I've stayed at many Hampton Inns through the years to confidently say that. I'm not from this area but just from driving around it looks like a fine area. Lots of stuff around (restaurants, eateries, fast food, the mall, etc). I guess only con is it looks like there is constant traffic as it seems to be a hub for lots of amenities for the area. With that said the property looks kept up well. The lobby is pleasant and warm. Front desk person at 11PM was still energetic and professional. I didn't check all the amenities as this was a 1 night quick rest stop, but I did see an outdoor pool that closes at 9PM (not sure if heated) and no separate hot tub. The halls to the rooms are bright and dont look eerie at all. The rooms are fairly up to date being very utilitarian and functional. Tiny--by today's standards TV. Conveniently placed outlets with USB ports. There are 2 desks to work on. There are the ever so important microwave and minifridge with coffee maker. Beds and linens were up to par--both being good and comfortable. The HVAC system was adequate with a noticeable hum but no rattles. AC blows nice and cold--period. The bathroom is small, functional, and seems more recently updated than the room itself. Toilet seat is still the cheap low height. Con so far is the following: The bathroom door is a barn door. It serves to close the built in closet when bathroom door is open, and close the bathroom door itself when it use. It has a nice mirror to check yourself out. HOWEVER, there is NO LOCK ON THE BATHROOM BARN DOOR. So when you go to use the bathroom, you slide the barndoor shut but there is nothing preventing shared guests to simply go in there when in use. Bring back the standard door, as in this case function trumps fashion. As with all Hampton Inns--breakfast is included. It's the usual faire and quality if you have been to a Hampton Inn property before. Not much has changed in that for a decade or more. It's doable. Lots of carbs/breads/starches, yogurt, egg, potatoes, coffee, cereal, make your own waffle, etc. Overall another pleasant stay, but not perfect.

I stayed here for a two-night stay because my parents are elderly and thought it would be convenient. Unfortunately, the elevators were not functional. At one point, only one elevator worked, and all the guests knew about the issue. Despite a sign stating, "Our elevators prefer 6 or less people," guests were aggressively trying to get in, even when the hotel was at full capacity. When we were trying to catch our flight, everyone was packed in the elevators, and I tried to ask a group of people if they could allow my parents to get in. They refused, saying they were all filled up. I insisted and pushed my parents in, which got very aggressive and uncomfortable. If you're staying here, pack your patience and get a room on the ground floor to avoid dealing with the elevator issue. Another downside was the beds. They were a bit too soft, and even the hide-a-bed was worn out and didn't provide any firmness. This caused back pain the next day. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet was decent, and the coffee was better than I expected. The staff in the kitchen were also kind and accommodating.

When I called the hotel, Stacey confidently told me cigarettes had been found on the floor of my room. She claimed the room smelled like cigarette smoke. She claimed she had inspected the room herself. She claimed she had taken photographs. When I asked for the photos, she told me to be patient and assured me they would be sent. Every one of those claims turned out to be false. Later that day, I returned to the hotel and spoke directly with management. I was informed that no cigarettes had been found in the room. What Stacey had described as cigarettes were apparently crushed pretzels. I was also informed that the room did not smell like smoke and that no photographs had ever been taken. According to management, when Stacey was questioned, she admitted that she had been in a hurry and had not properly verified what she was telling me. That is completely unacceptable. Being wrong is one thing. Making accusations against a paying guest, claiming evidence exists when it doesn't, and speaking with absolute certainty about things you never bothered to verify is something entirely different. What made the situation even worse was Stacey's attitude. She was condescending, pretentious, dismissive, and spoke as if I was the problem for questioning a charge that she could not support with a single piece of evidence. The level of arrogance was astonishing considering how quickly her story fell apart once management looked into it. Quite frankly, Stacey comes across as someone who is more interested in sounding authoritative than being truthful. She had no problem making serious allegations, no problem claiming evidence existed, and no problem wasting my time while I chased down information that should have been accurate from the beginning. The hotel itself was not the issue. Stacey was. One employee's dishonesty, carelessness, and lack of professionalism completely overshadowed what otherwise would have been a positive stay. If this is how guest disputes are handled, I would strongly encourage anyone facing questionable charges to verify everything independently and not simply take Stacey's word for it. She single-handedly turned what would have been a 5-star review into a 1-star experience. From my conversations with hotel staff, it was clear that Stacey's behavior and poor judgment were not exactly a secret. In fact, I got the impression that others at the hotel were already well aware of the problems she creates. What's even more telling is that after reading other reviews, I discovered I'm far from the only guest who has had a negative experience with her. At some point, when the same employee keeps appearing in complaints, management has to stop viewing it as a series of isolated incidents and start recognizing the common denominator.

Needed to get away from my crazy ass neighbors and it was also work related. Victor was helpful in some areas. I told him that I need a room that is quiet, and he suggested 9th floor room #913. Walked into the room and everything was just super comfortable. My window was facing the beautiful mountains. Had way too many restaurants within walking distance. Amenities are: big TV that actually had my name on it, welcoming me into the hotel, mini fridge, I asked for a microwave(upon request), and by the time I came back from dinner, the microwave was already there. King size bed, standard size couch with a small round table and a leg rest. Big closet along with lots of drawers, and iron/ironing board, a laundry facility on the 2nd floor, the Bistro restaurant that kind of had weird hours. I'll get to that in a minute. Had a coffee machine with all the belongings that comes with it, gym(open 24/7),restrooms all around. Inside the lobby, around the pool and jacuzzi area, had a mini market with a lot of late night snacks from Ramen, Chips, Cookies, Frozen Food, Beverages and also a microwave for their guests. It had a Banquet hall and also a couple of meeting rooms. The entire hotel along with the lobbies, were super clean. Had a blow dryer, clean, crisp towels in the bathroom and the cutest shower curtain that I have ever seen inside a hotel's restroom. It looked like a bridal dress from the 50's 60's era. That cute. Presure of the water was not that good. Understandable, they are conserving water. Restaurant was fairly a large size with great people working there with FANTASTIC HOSPITALITY. They also had a small menu to choose from. Had breakfast and dinner.Ate there twice. Great, affordable prices. Also for Starbucks lovers, they have coffee. They don't have room service which was ok with me, you place your order on your app, or on the phone, go downstairs and pick it up. Special thanks to Meg, one of the most cheerful, upbeat, full of love and energy who works in the restaurant. Rosie was nice too. Bed, pillows, sheets were very comfortable.A/C was working perfectly. I checked in after 10 PM and checked out before 10 AM--I simply needed a place to rest after a seven-hour drive and to shower and prepare for the service. After returning home, I reviewed my charges and noticed an additional $5.00 fee on top of the room rate. When I called the front desk to inquire, I was told the charge was for water in the room. I explained that I did not use the water and that it was still there when I checked out. I also shared that I have a photo, as I make it a habit to record a video of the room upon departure for my records. I was then asked to provide a photo with a clearly visible date and time stamp so it could be forwarded to a manager for review. Given the amount of money I have spent with Hilton, it is disappointing to feel as though my honesty is being questioned over such a minor charge. This is not about the $5.00--it is about the principle. I am being charged for something I did not use. If that level of proof is required from guests, it would only be fair for the hotel to provide similar documentation showing the item was missing upon my departure. That expectation would clearly be unreasonable, which is exactly my point. I was told a manager would contact me directly, but I have not received any follow-up. I am very disappointed with the lack of customer service, accountability, and respect shown in this situation. Amaiya D. and Martin P., I urge you to do better and treat each customer as you would want to be treated.

The hotel is in a great location, close to grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, and other conveniences, all within a nice neighborhood. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I appreciated the free on-site parking, included breakfast, stable internet connection, good TV service, and the availability of several wheelchair-accessible rooms. The hotel also offers a small outdoor pool and jacuzzi, and the guest laundry facilities are reasonably priced at $2 per wash or dry cycle. My king room was generally clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and I especially loved the blackout window shade, which completely darkened the room for a great night's sleep. While I opted out of housekeeping service, it was a pleasant surprise to return to my room and find a full bag of fresh towels waiting at my door. The linens were clean, although they lacked that crisp, freshly laundered feel and scent found in some hotels. The room itself was a bit cramped but perfectly adequate for one or two people. The desk area is adequate for working. Tiny bar sink, minimal coffee service, fridge and counter top in the room are helpful. There are, however, some areas that could benefit from improvement. The rooms are beginning to show their age, and replacing the carpeting with hard-surface flooring would likely improve both appearance and cleanliness. The shower grout was noticeably stained, both bathroom faucets were somewhat difficult to operate and leaked (water is hot, but low pressure), and there were not enough conveniently located electrical outlets for today's travelers. The in-room air conditioning unit was effective but quite loud when running. Parking can become a significant challenge when the hotel is busy, and because of the nearby freeway and neighboring hotels, noise from loud vehicles and motorcycles can sometimes be heard, particularly during the evening hours. The outdoor pool is small, and the clarity was just OK. I was still able to get a cool off session. Jacuzzi was out of service. The hotel gym is average, with minimal equipment. The endless drinking water dispenser was appreciated to refill our water bottles in this hot climate. The included breakfast was adequate but fairly basic, typically consisting of scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, bread and bagels, yogurt, milk, bananas, apples, juice, and mediocre coffee. Disappointing that was that breakfast was frequently not fully set up on time, resulting in our missing breakfast on the way out for our work day. Overall, this hotel offers good value, a convenient location, comfortable beds, and friendly service. While some updates and maintenance improvements would enhance the guest experience, I would consider other locations to try first.

I don't think not having room service unless its a long stay is working. Upon arrival (she dared suggest there was a charge to check in early) ((which also to waive that fee is leaving a reciew upon arrival which is usually a red flag)) our room was dusty and dirty with stuff and hair all over the floor. Never stepped in there barefoot. Bathroom was the cockroach hub until of course, the last two days we started seeing them in kitchen. We luckily already were so grossed out, we kept out food in our car rental. I have never been this upset by a stay before. Please beware of the good reviews, because they are very pushy for you to scan and leave one upon checking in, before you actually have time to see what you're in for.

If you want to tour the hotel, follow Craig Owens of Haunted by History on Instagram (@bizarre_los_angeles) as he gives tours here. I believe he's taking a break currently but if you get a chance, his tours are excellent and very thorough (he has participated in multiple paranormal investigations here, researched the hotel thoroughly for years, and spent several nights in its rooms). A fascinating piece of history (listed on the National Register of Historic Places). The 44-room hotel opened in 1925 (before the creation of Route 66). It was designed by architect Robert Stacy-Judd in the Mayan revival style (but named the Aztec because it was thought this would be more familiar to the public). The hotel was not particularly successful and went through various phases, including rumors of being a speakeasy and a brothel. It was a bit of a notorious spot for a while, with shady characters occupying its rooms. I was told that 11 people have died here which may not be a particularly high number for such an old hotel. Nonetheless, there are claims of hauntings and tales of paranormal activity. Either way, it's a super fascinating and aesthetically marvelous place!
