We stopped in here after a 3 hour long walking tour of Paris and were famished and looking for something filling and tasty. Le Duquesne made sure we were well fed and watered. This small café is located between the Louvre and the Royal Opera House and has traditional French café fare. I got the meat and cheese plate with an infinite amount of bread. Since the bread here is amazingly good, my friend and I might have abused the infinite privilege. But needless to say, we got out servings of carbs for the day. The meats and cheese presented on the plate were delicious. There was a burratta, mozzarella, brie, and what tasted like a gouda. The meats paired nicely and included prosciutto, coppola ham, salami, and some type of paté. All of this was washed down with a glass of very robust merlot. Definitely try Le Duquesne for a light quiche, French onion soup, cheese, bread, bread, and more bread. The people working here are extremely courteous and welcoming. You feel like you are part of the family. read more
