We had just arrived and were kind of tired but needed something to eat. We were going to dinner much later on but needed a snack right now. After looking around in the area, we came across Lucia e Marcela, a small pastry shop which was doing a brisk lunch business. They had everything-sweet and savory. It was most appealing and I am glad we found it. It is a small place, more take out than anything else. There are a small number of seats in the restaurant which are usually filled. I decided first to have an appetizing piece of pizza they had in the window as you come in. It was delicious. I then opted for a pan au chocolat and then I got an olive twist. There is a lot of help behind the counter so the wait is minimal and they will heat anything up for you. It was a delicious experience and my only regret is that we were only able to go their that one time, since we left the next day. Payment is cash or contactless although more people are using contactless but cash always seems to be faster, at least when I was on line there. I would recommend when you are in the 14th Arrondissement. read more
