To preface this review, I should tell you that I was torn between one and two stars... the vibe here was definitely off putting, but I thought the food was decent. I decided to go with one solely based on the quality of the service we received. My boyfriend and I are from the states, and this is the first time we've experienced overtly rude behavior in the two separate occasions we've traveled to Paris. I should also say that we truly do our best to communicate what we're able to in French, and are always very conscientious of our manners and attitudes when we go out. The fact that we seemed to be a huge burden to the waiter (in an almost empty restaurant) was, to say the least, pretty disappointing. We arrived for dinner, and were greeted by one of the staff right as we walked through the door. We were then led to a section in which we were able to choose a table to sit at. Everything seemed completely fine up to this point. Our waiter came over to ask for our drink order, and upon realizing we were tourists, suddenly became very disinterested in our business; his entire demeanor changed, and his interactions with us were short and curt from this point forward. We decided on the French Bordeaux, but were quickly told "we don't have that anymore." There was no polite tone, just a quick, blunt statement. In lieu of our first choice, we picked an Italian red (which was really good; nothing to complain about there!) that took a pretty long time to make the trip from the bar to our table. Once we had wine in hand, we placed our order. Other tables came in, got drinks, ate their meals, paid, and left before our dinners even came out. Perhaps the pizza took a long time to cook because it was fresh? I don't know. I always feel the need to justify poor service, but I don't know if I can in this instance. The waiter came by with our food (finally), more or less slung it on the table, said nothing, and walked away. We sort of overlooked that because we were absolutely starving by this point. Once we actually got our food, my boyfriend's pizza had all the toppings in a messy pile in the center... maybe that's how it was supposed to come out, but it certainly didn't look like there was any care put into presentation. My meal, on the other hand, actually looked pretty good, in my opinion, and it tasted great. I can't speak to the quality of the pizza, but my boyfriend seemed to enjoy his, as well... we could have, in part, thought this due to how hungry we were, though. We did not receive a single visit from the waiter throughout the course of our meal, and ended up waiting a long time (again) to receive the check and pay so we could leave. Only at the point my credit card was being charged for the service did the waiter speak to us. Just like we've experienced back home, different locations of the same chain can differ in quality of service and quality of food. I hate leaving poor reviews for this reason, but felt the need to do so, as we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome while dining. If given the opportunity, I won't return to this location, but may choose to try another in a different area. Hopefully that experience will be different! read more

To be fair, we ducked in here out of the snow while looking for somewhere for lunch without looking at the other reviews first. I'm glad we didn't because I did not have a similar experience to some of the naysayers. The waiter we had was perfectly fine, in fact I'd go as far as to suggest he was Paris-good. By that I mean he was attentive, polite throughout and completely unlike some of the oddballs you sometimes get. We both had pizzas, and I opted for a straight forward ham and mushroom. Most of my experiences of that type of pizza involve little square pieces of ham, but that was not the case here. Generously torn ham over the pizza, and a decent quality ham too with some actual flavour. I'd be very happy to return here. Oh, I nearly forgot! That chocolate mousse is sublime. Food here was really good. Came in jet lagged as hell after a long flight and luckily the staff was kind to my brain not quite being able to translate let alone speak my native tongue lol. The seafood pizza was amazing and my companion got some kind of pasta dish with the most delicious cheese on it. Definitely a do again next time we are there! read more

The family and I decided to give this place a try since it was pretty close to our Airbnb and one of the only places still opened later than other restaurants. It was on a great location close to the metro right on the corner. Pizza Pino was pretty busy the moment we stepped inside but they managed to get the 6 of us a table. It wasn't too loud nor crowded but it sure is a popular spot to eat. The services were very pleasant with a smile always on their faces. They spoke English fairly well so we were able to communicate with them about our order. They were quick to assist us when we were ready to order and made sure everything was to our liking. On that note, I got a Pina Colada and Ravioli Ricotta-Épinards. Which consists of ravioli stuffed ricotta and spinach along with Parmesan cheese sauce. The Pina Colada I had was delightful! One of the best I've ever had, surprisingly. The ravioli was good but that parmesan cheese sauce was what made it! I am a huge fan of cheese so there was no way I would be disappointed by this. I'd come here again and try some of their other dishes! Their pizza looked amazing along with their lasagna that my brother ordered! I'm extremely confused with the average rating. Start to finish, this was a memorable meal and I feel no shame in giving a five star review. The shrimp cocktail avocado was unlike anything I've ever had and was delicious. The seafood pizza- the bastardization of which I have tried many times back home in the US, was amazing. It was simply unparalleled among all of the seafood pizzas I have had in the states. And I eat a ton of pizza. The chocolate lava cake, a classic, was good as well. I was impressed with the prices as well and found them reasonable to the point if I lived in the area I'd eat here regularly. Perhaps I am less discerning but I have no idea what the French reviewers are talking about. I've tried to translate a hand full of them and the critiques are very specific and as a whole make little sense. If you are American, try this place out. The Americans dining in our little corner of the restaurant seemed to be very pleased with what Pizza Pino had to offer. read more

We are staying at the Crowne Plaza and this restaurant was right across the street. We had the special €9.90 dinner and it was so much food. I couldn't even finish my pizza. My daughter had the kids meal and she couldn't finish her dinner either. I had the pizza quatre saison and it was very good. My sons spaghetti bolognese was delicious! Our waiter was very kind and spoke some English. We would definitely recommend this spot. read more

If you're looking for great pizza in Paris, vibrant atmostphere, with great service & a smile, then DO NOT go here. I have a feeling that the staff are told not to smile as part of their training when they join the Pizza Pino company. The few times that we have attempted to go here, they have always been either closed, or closing, even though by their website they are supposed to be open. Then you get the usual flippant Parisian dismissal. So, maybe if you're looking for an adventure in taking your chances, want to be treated with typical Parisian condescension, then maybe you might like this place. Personally, I'd avoid it like the plague! Pizza is average! Far better options are : La Divina, 10 Boulevard Temple, 75011 Paris, France +33 1 49 23 90 72 La Gondola, 35 Rue Oberkampf, 75011 Paris 11e arrondissement, France +33 1 49 23 02 63 Both are authentique Italian restaurants. First night in Paris, saw this restaurant from across the street. The restaurant setting is very welcoming and impressive with the wood burning pizza oven. Our waiter was pleasant, patient, and spoke English. We ordered the carbonara pasta, children pizza, and soufflé calzone. Great portions and excellent taste! The desserts: upside down apple pie was different but not bad, however the creme on the side was ok. Also, the trio (chocolate mousse, tiramisu, and chocolate chip ice cream w/ an espresso shot was great! Not sure why this place has poor reviews but we are willing to come back. read more

How in the world does this place have such low ratings?! We were staying at the crowne plaza across the street for a few days and we had to come back a second time we loved it so much. The staff was totally friendly, both times! Consistent service. And they were great with my two year old. She loved her heart-shaped cheese pizza, chocolate mousse, and complimentary bread for the table with "dip it" (as she calls it). The papardelle pasta with meat sauce was MELT IN YOUR MOUTH out of this world good. And the chocolate mousse? I would fly all the way back to Paris JUST FOR THAT. I have dreams about it. So good. I believe the basic fact that my gf and I are American was enough for us to get shit on. Other couples came after us were fed, paid and left before we got our food. Well, pizza was horrible and quite expensive. A little chaotic organisation and personell.

Sadly the service was really bad. I noticed that everyone around us got free bread and we were never given or offered any. Also, no one checked on us the whole time we were there while the tables around us were. Even by our same waiter. We were only spoken to after we were done and asked if we wanted dessert or the check. We asked for the check and a box. We watched the waiter go out for a smoke break before he decided to bring us either of those things. It felt like we were purposely being ignored. The pizza was fine. read more
