I had a great time shopping here this morning. I love Le Creuset and have collecting pieces of their cast ironware for years. They recently retired my favorite color, Caribbean blue. Luckily, this location had some things in that color. They had a great sale going on and I bought a few pieces to add to my collection. The store is so well organized and made easy to see everything without being overwhelmed. I love that they have a wide variety of bakeware. The staff were amazing. Cindy was very helpful and went to the stock room to get me the items I wanted to purchase that were still in a their box. She even gift wrapped one of my purchases for free. Pat was awesome! I called ahead of time to get my cousin a gift. She means a lot to me. Told Pat what I wanted and she told me what was available...She said they had an 8qt oval pot for $299 down from $475. I said deal! I have quite a few pieces of Le Creuset so I know a deal when I hear it. Pat put it aside for me so when I came up from the East Bay and it was easy in and easy out. Selection was good with a lot of off color ones but they had enough of the "signature" / standard colors to go around. I was happy with it and knew my cousin would love it. Value was spot on...Paying $299 for a big Le Creuset piece is a deal! Especially for a larger 8qt one. Went to see my cousin and gave her, her early Birthday gift...She loved it!!! I don't recommend this location for a few different reasons. It doesn't make any sense in this mall. There is nothing even remotely kitchen or home related outside of this store, all of it's neighbors are entirely clothing focused. Outside of the colors/shades wall and their measuring cups/spoons selection, there's not much to speak of that's a draw. Almost all of it is available online outside of the large pink platter they carried. They even had a smaller selection of pink items than Livermore did. The service was definitely a step down from the bubbly friendly service at Livermore so unless you're out here already, I see no reason to make the drive. read more

My partner and I have been looking to purchase a Le Creuset dutch oven piece for some time and we recently learned that the previously discontinued Provence color was headed to outlet stores. I called around asking for the enameled cast iron flower cocotte in particular, and thankfully Gilroy had it! Yvonne was super thorough and helpful with my phone order, she even inspected each of the pieces they had in stock to find the best one available for me. At one point I had to hang up so I could return to work and she was super easygoing about it--we just picked up the order process when I was able to call back. Yes Le Creuset is still over-priced for what it is, but you can't deny that it's some good-lookin' cookery and it actually performs fantastically to boot. I'd never pay full price for it but at 50%-off I will fork over the cash every time. The staff was very very rude. Bought 3 pepper mills and completed the payment. Right after the payment, I asked to change the color of one of the pepper mills. My mom and I stopped here to replace her tea kettle on the way out of town. At first the service was decent, she answered our questions but I could tell she was getting irritated. As we were ready to check out, more customers came in and our sales person just pawned us off to the next employee, ignoring my mom as she was talking to her and without obviously explaining what was going on to her coworker because the next employee continued to charge us twice for not 1 but 2 items! About $100 extra. My mom was the one who noticed the mistake and we received our refund but honestly I will never shop here again. Noelle's Yelp Notebook 2014 Customer service has greatly improved in the past two years. The entire staff is helpful without the pressure or up selling that I've previously encountered at this location. I normally shop here during the weekdays (as I'm a stay at home mom) and occasionally on the weekends. One will notice that entire shop is neat, clean and overall well organized. I've collected 95% of the Caribbean collection (French Ovens, pots, cast iron pans in both the large and smaller sizes, etc.). My mom bought me a few pieces in the Coastal Blue. I adore the Coastal Blue color which is exclusive to the South African Le Creuset market and only available in the United States in limited release at certain Le Creuset outlets. Today, I picked up a few pieces in the Caribbean color and Coastal Blue. The best kept secret at this location is the 50% rack in the back of the shop (left hand side of the shop)- I picked up a large bowl in the Caribbean color today. Just keep in mind not all the items here are distressed or discontinued. In fact if you go to the Le Creuset USA website you will see the Caribbean color as listed in the 'current' color selections. If you go to the South African Le Creuset website you'll find the entire collection of Coastal Blue online. Items you'll find in this store: Cast Iron enamel pots and French ovens Ceramic serving dishes Coffee and tea sets Metal pans (similar to All-Clad) and accessories like metal knobs, spatulas,etc! They have such an impressive selection (much more than other retail shops, that sell Le Creuset and other brands). For items you can't find in this shop you can find it on their website online. Don't shop at Le Creuset in Gilroy if there's even a slight chance you might need to return your item. Actually, just don't shop here. I just tried to return two UNUSED, BRAND NEW stoneware casserole dishes. I. had the original receipt from one week ago. They refused to accept one because the sticker had become dislodged. A sticker, seriously? Maybe they used crappy adhesive. Maybe it was never there. Maybe it's 2023 and you should have a better tracking system. There's no excuse. That's not how you treat a customer. This is my favorite store at the outlets here in Gilroy! I've been a fan of this particular French cookware ever since seeing it at Williams Sonoma (Founder Chuck Williams was responsible for bringing the cookware to America decades ago). While there are seconds available for purchase here due to a slight imperfection that is hardly noticeable, there are items here that are not seconds, available at a very good price too. The prices at this true outlet store of Le Creuset is what brings me here time and time again. I like to purchase product here to give as gifts to those family and friends who collect and love this cookware as much as I do. Upon entering the store, I always take a look at the displays upfront to see what's "new" but head straight to the back left side of the store for the clearance racks. Here you will find the very best prices on product that is down to only two items of a particular product or maybe there was only one item shipped in from the regular Le Creuset store. I don't always find something I like but like a treasure hunt, there are the times that I hit the jackpot! Customer service is friendly and efficient here and will help you carry out product to your car. My only wish is that I someday see the color Ocean, which is what we purchase from Williams Sonoma, at the outlet store someday. I went in this afternoon and had the most pleasant experience. The guy who helped me (Forest) was the nicest and most helpful customer service employee I've dealt with anywhere in quite a while. I ended up buying more than I was planning because he was so helpful and knowledgeable about Le Creuset everything! I love Le Creuset. The selection of colors, the durability, and knowing that so much care has been taken in crafting each piece makes each item seem completely worth the price. I am addicted to cooking with cast iron, and Le Creuset pieces are incredible to cook with. I went to the store today around 1 PM. I had intended to spoil some of my family by gifting some cast iron as Christmas presents, and add a few pieces to my own collection, however that didn't end up happening. A young female employee pretended to work and followed us the entire time. I watched the woman pick up lids to the pots, position the pans in a slightly different way, and put the lid back, as if to look "busy" as we looked at the items in the store. Every few seconds, as she followed us around the store, she would ask us "Are you finding everything okay?" I was tempted to say, "I'll let you know if I need your help..." I didn't know how to express it without coming across as a rude customer. I don't understand. Did I honestly look like I was going to shove one of those big cast iron pans into my handbag? Was there not enough work for her to do, so she just needed play with the pots and pans to look busy in front of her colleague? I have worked in customer service for over a decade, and I know that a sales associate needs to make themselves available to customers. But It's not okay to blatantly spy on customers as they browse. This place is such a fantastic find. I needed to replace a saucepan with lid and handle that got thrashed by a roommate of mine. I described what I needed and the clerk led me right to it. It was "orange flame" but I wanted blue. She checked in the back and found one! Not only that, it was 20% off. I paid much less than what I would have at either Amazon, or Le Creuset's own website. I've been wanting to visit this store since reading a review from a fellow Yelper. So since it is the President's Day weekend, I thought it would be a perfect time to stop by. I've had my mind on a 9 quart Dutch Oven for the longest time, so going in, I had a mission to get this particular item. As I walk in, I marvel at all the cookware in multiple colors. I was a kid in a candy store! The place was not too big, it was actually smaller than I had imagined. But they had so many stuff, beautiful stuff!!! So I started looking around for sale items, and thank goodness they had a 4 day President's Day sale starting that Friday!!! They had 35% to 50% off selected items. And the Dutch Oven that I wanted was on sale for 35% off of the already discounted outlet price!!! Jackpot!!! Woohoo!!! Although there was a great sale, I stayed under control and bought just 2 items. My sister on the other hand went crazy with the shopping! Goodness gracious! A woman with a credit card during a great sale is an explosive combination! It was my first but certainly not my last visit to the Le Creuset outlet. My sister and I had a wonderful shopping experience! The customer service was beyond awesome! Cherri, the Area Manager for Le Creuset, helped us with our purchases and answered all of our questions. All the pots and pans for anyone who enjoys cooking. This is located in one of the gilroy outlets and is a small store. They have a variety of pan sizes and types. If you are looking for task specific cookware it's worth checking out. The price point here is mid to upper tier but they do run sales and bundles. I got great customer service and the lady that helped me had really strong product knowledge. This isn't a bad option if you're looking for a cookware set or if you need individual pieces. If you want something nice or are looking to upgrade Le Creuset is worth checking out. read more

Visited this store looking for a pepper mill of a particular color. The color was only available in salt mills. When I asked a store associate about the difference between the pepper and salt mills her response was I don't know. She also seemed to imply that I would like the salt and pepper mills swapped because the salt mill was on sale and the pepper mill was not. She mentioned this several times when I was only wondering about the difference between the two products. As a store associate, she should be knowledgeable and more respectful of inquiries. I was not after the sale item. I was after the color and the color was not available for the pepper mill, but was with the salt mill which was on sale. If the grind is similar for both items, then it shouldn't matter which one I get; hence, my question. It was very disrespectful and frankly, shows lack of competency. And to assume that customers would want items switched for the sale price was just so rude and disrespectful. read more

Don't you love (or hate) American consumerism? You get to satisfy your need or therapy to shop, then write (or brag) about your purchases. I have a great story to tell you. My friend and I were on our way to Pinnacles National Monument near Gilroy, CA for a day hike when I had the urge to stop by the Gilroy Outlets to look for my dream cookware Le Creuset. We stopped by the store as they were opening and right away fell in love with the ivory enameled cast iron covered deep saute pan (a cross between the deep dutch oven and a skillet - not too deep not too shallow - perfect for everyday use). I figured its versatility is all I need for my tiny San Francisco kitchen that's screaming for a make-over. A sales lady approached us and asked if there was anything in particular we were looking for? I said the usual: "We're just looking right now, thank you." She took off. My friend said: "Why would you pay $160 for a single pan? My emphatic reply was: "This is the Le Creuset I've been eyeing for in years and the price couldn't be better. Besides, (I calculated), if I don't eat out for six to eight meals, the pan will pay for itself in no time. AND I'll invite him over for dinner." So far so good. Then I saw a set of Le Creuset stainless steel cookware that costs almost the same as the single cast iron pan. I flagged the saleslady and asked where these stainless steel cookware were made. It caught her off guard and hesitantly said: "China". I politely said:"Oh, thank you". Then I went back to the cast iron I am dying to purchase. The lady followed us and condescendingly said to us: "Those ARE made in France". My jaw nearly dropped on the table. Duh...(I know where they're made because I did my homework and have one at home). I bit my tongue and said to her: "Is that so?" So I grabbed my friend and told him, we have to go, it's getting late in the morning and we need to get back on the road. I could have given this store 4 stars easy but because of poor service, I'll give them a paltry 2. To continue the story, after our hike, and after considerable debate, we returned to the store, saw the lady, hand her the pan and my credit card, and ran out the store. I am happy with my purchase and LOVE my cast iron deep pan, but the snotty remark from the sales lady left a deep burning sensation in my brain. PS. David D. says:"Le Creuset's are great. I am a certifiable Le Creuset addict. I am just starting my collection, and I am absolutely kicking myself that I didn't know about this store until now, when I am moving 4 hours away in 2 weeks. I would have come here 3 times a year for the past 4 years if I could have! They sell "second" quality Le Creuset, at 50% off, and I was in heaven. The pieces I picked out didn't show any scratches, chips, or any noticeable reductions in quality what so ever. Really, not even a little bit. I bought 4 Caribbean ramekins (why must they discontinue this color?!?!), a Kiwi juicer, and then they gave me a Cherry oval baking dish as a free gift! I think it was because I signed up for the mailing list and it was a super-sale weekend too, though. All of that for only $50, when it would have cost more than double on the LC website. I don't know why this place gets such a bad rap! Its an outlet! They sell lots of "seconds" which means that the item will have a few cosmetic defects. The ladies who work here are all VERY helpful at helping you find the "second" with the least amount of blemishes and will happily show you a similar item with almost no blemishes. I agree with the other reviewers that you need to sign up for the outlets VIP shopper program, its free and on their website. It gives you great discounts here. As for the quality of Le Creuset products, they are AMAZING. They cook really evenly and they last and last. I would also check the amazon.com prices before you go, I always do and the outlet is always cheaper (just not the same selection) read more
