A company that produces great works of art that cannot be explained plainly with words, which is why I rated this business with the highest score possible. This place sets a standard for other's in the community to follow. Leading by example, Annie is a pioneer in innovative and sustainable options. Recently, methods to produce their functional pieces has been altered to more "green" environmentally conscious methods. For years, the women in my family have displayed their treasures, happily with pride and sweet satisfaction. If you are seeking to acquire an irreplaceable work of art, please, arrive at Annieglass. read more

This is truly my happy place! I love going to AnnieGlass and finding new treasures that I can't live without. This is one of my favorite gifts to share with friends and family! AnnieGlass is female created, run, and operated. It features the artistry and creative genius of a female artist who hasn't allowed the fame of being featured in the Smithsonian of American Artists go to her head. She is often found in the studio with her daughter, talking with customers, and running the business. I love this store, and I always find things that spark joy when I get there. read more

Annieglass - The gift of Annie Glass between friends - Home Decor Near Me - Watsonville, California

So many beautiful things. Thank you for your art. I have collected glass for many years. Have never seen so many exquisite pieces in one place. read more

This is a fantastic glass shop. Not a lot around, check it out if you are in the area. Prices can be high, so you've been warned about sticker shock. I wanted to buy so many things, including jewelry, just can't afford to hand over the plastic. My mother in-law loves Annieglass, once a year the city of Watsonville has a warehouse sale, that when she pounces on pieces she's been eyeing. My husband and I, decided to checkout the gift shop one day. Lots of parking. We were invited to do a free factory tour, declined because we were limited on time and wanted to walk the shop instead. They offer tours and tastings, something I didn't know. We did walk away with 2 small glasses at $10 a piece. Best deal in the store. read more

I just attended a wonderful Valentine's workshop with Annieglass! (This was also a fundraiser to help with recent storm damage.) Annie herself was the instructor, and helped us decorate our pieces. We all made glass ornament hearts that we embellished with our own touches. Plus, we each had a glass of tea or great local wine. This was followed by a tour of the studio where we really learned to appreciate all the steps that go into each piece she makes. Afterwards, we visited her beautiful store, and made some lovely finds in the "seconds" room. A fascinating afternoon! read more

Annie's glass is an open secret in this area, and at this point, I have no idea how I found out about this place, but I have been coming here for YEARS! Every time we are in the area (and by that I mean, if we are within an hour and a half driving distance), I make a point to stop in. My daughter and I have taken classes here, and I always pick up something for the home or as a hostess gift for friends. Since this is their warehouse outlet, there is a nice selection of seconds that are discounted, and they have warehouse sales a couple times a year where the prices get slashed even further. The prices are still high, but given that their glassware is sold at high end shops across the country, this is your opportunity to get very good quality glass at more affordable prices. And "seconds" is a matter of opinion, really, since a layperson can hardly tell that there is anything wrong! There is also a main store where they have first-quality products and products by other local vendors that match their style (jewelry, sculptures, pottery, etc.) It is so fun browsing through their products, chatting with Annie (yes, there's really an Annie) when she's in the store, and with her daughter who is there most of the time. I follow them on social media and they are very good about interacting with their followers there. As I mentioned before, we've taken classes here: they offer a variety of different classes at reasonable prices (when there isn't a pandemic, that is) like potting succulents in their shallow glass trays or bowls, etc. We love our Annieglass succulent pots! They also have wine tasting in the warehouse, with local wineries pouring their selections in a very casual and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely stop in if you are in the area...it is just a short drive from Carmel, Monterey, or Santa Cruz. read more

Staying local for the long-holiday weekend and found Annie's online. Thought it would be something fun to do. Went there in time for the 1:30 tour. Sign outside said tours, wine and organic tastings. There were four of us in our group, two woman behind a counter and a few customers inside. They did not greet us. We had to inquire about a tour. They said there was none today. They did not offer us a tasting, they did not share anything about the place, the glass or ask to answer any questions. If fact, they were very put out by us. We felt watched as we looked at items. As if we would take something. There were very beautiful things there and I would have loved to purchase something. Hear about how it was made. But, we felt very uncomfortable. So we left. Too bad. Lost a sale, future customers and as it goes - share with others the poor experience. read more

Really great selection of unique items. Perfect gifts for someone special (or yourself)

Run don't walk to this fabulous factory, with a tour, wine tasting / shopping Mecca. Annie Glass is available at Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom's, and Gump's. And right there in Watsonville! We spent hours there taking the tour tasting the wine and shopping. Good time had by all read more

I've been struggling with whether or not to write this review, but my two experiences keep nagging at me and I can't seem to let them go unmentioned. A few months ago I bought a bracelet at Annieglass on Cooper Street to wear to a formal event. It not only broke the first time I wore it, but the broken clasp snagged my new silk dress. I returned to the store, with receipt, hoping to get the bracelet repaired or replaced. The sole employee was standing outside chatting with a friend, and took her time coming back in to help me. She then informed me that she was the "jewelry manager" and since the bracelet was "low end," there was nothing she could do. It wasn¹t expensive, but even "low end" items shouldn¹t break the first time you wear them. Rather than argue, I chose to "vote with my feet" and shop elsewhere in the future. Unfortunately, my niece registered at Annieglass for her wedding, so I was compelled to return. Hoping to avoid having to deal with the "jewelry manager" again, I went to the Watsonville store. Seems they were having a big sale and the place was packed with people, many with armloads of items, lined up haphazardly to pay. They were obviously understaffed to handle such a crowd, but the sales people were doing their best to cope. I was appalled to see the owner shouting at one of the sales people in a very loud and abusive manner. It's inexcusable to berate and humiliate an employee, especially in front of customers, and especially about something that is out of their control. I understand that the Santa Cruz store has since closed, and whether it's due to poor customer service, bad karma, or both, I'm not surprised. read more

Beautiful store and a lot of unique pieces to choose from. The people who worked were really nice and helped us find a wedding gift and we ended up purchasing a gorgeous Annieglass sculpture for our living room. They also had other artisan gifts like ceramics, blown glass vases, and gorgeous jewelry in the store which complimented the glass. They had a seconds room of annieglass and we bought a few votive holders. It may have been a slight bend in it but they were unique and still gorgeous and nice quality, we ended up buying three. (Everything was beautiful)! They were giving a tour of the factory and asked us if we would like to join. We didn't have reservations, but the employees were very welcoming. It was a great experience! We got to walk through the very clean factory, and our tour guide showed us the different stations and we learned a bit about the process of slumped glass and about the artist Annie. We can't wait to come back on our future trips to Monterey and tell our friends. If you live in the area or driving through you don't want to miss visiting Annieglass! read more

I had the chance to visit Annieglass on a Yelp Field Trip. The storefront is very bright and eye catching. There's a really cool butterfly seat right in front of the store... I thought it was very cool. The inside is filled with unique glassware that I've never seen anywhere else. Be. Very. Careful. To. Not. Break. Anything. Although, Annieglass-ware is believed to be damn sturdy. (I'm not sure how sturdy, I've never bumped into anything there) Everything has a sticker that says handmade in California. Every piece is eye catching and unique; therefore, it is more pricier than your usual dinnerware. It's all handmade right there. Annie also added wine tasting to make it a destination. The lady wine curator was very friendly and knowledgeable. There was 4 different wines with 4 different types of cheese. She explained each type of wine in detail and showed which wine goes with which type of cheese. I enjoyed my time there and would recommend it to anyone that's stopping by Watsonville. read more

I LOVE Annieglass for wedding gifts and special occasions! It truly has become a unique heirloom for those very special people who have received a piece from me. My mother in law has collected it for years as a santa cruz local.HOWEVER this is not mother in law style glass! There are new beautiful contemporary collections and you can really find nice pieces for just about any taste. This is not a traditional store. It is the manufacturing location which means they always have seconds on hand for your personal collection. If you buy one as a gift, be sure to have it engraved there at the factory. I purchased a large platinum rimmed bowl, drove it to LA for a wedding gift, and it happened to crack. They replaced it NO questions asked. They said that the cooling process sometimes does this. I had purchased one in January to have it dated with the new year (they are all dated) and it was so new it must not have had time to cure. 5 stars for customer service. 5 stars for their product. Remember that this is a warehouse and you will not be disappointed. read more

Who doesn't love this art? Great quality for years and years. A small issue, I noticed that many things in the store are marked differently. When I brought it to the attention of the staff, I was looked at like there was something wrong with me. No big deal, just double check what's on the shelf. If you are looking for a great gift you have found the place to shop. Beautiful glass! read more

Even if you have no intention of purchasing an Annie Glass item, the store is still worth a quick stop off of Highway 1. The product is simply exquisite. You will not see anything else like it unless you shop high end department stores/boutiques which carry it. And it all comes from Watsonville! Annie has several different lines including some with a look that will make you think of the beauty of the California coast. Another nice thing about the Watsonville store is they carry seconds. While not perfect, the price is less. Regarding service, I have shopped at this location a number of times over the years and have always had a good experience. read more

Great glass gorgeously crafted and thoughtfully made. I had a walk though tour with the glassmaker which was really cool. Did a wine tasting as well and bought a bottle of Syrah. Nothing inexpensive here but makes a great gift or a splurge for yourself. read more

There are organizations that focus on their profits, their brand and their bottom line. Once in a while you stumble upon the rare organization that is authentically rooted in the communities they serve, and demonstrate leadership through community engagement. Those businesses put their best out into their community.. and it comes back 10 fold organically. That's Annieglass. They aren't just a business - they are a community institution with outstanding, outstanding product and service. We have wine and beer tasting, glasses and bottles you can buy. I would encourage folks to take advantage of their tours, their events, and purchase their products. They are a SCREAMING example of a local business that's thrived because of their guiding principles and commitment to the public. read more

Beautiful glassware and great customer Service. I registered here when I got married and the saleswomen were very helpful. Love the products also! read more

Full disclosure: I attended the field trip and I will be writing a separate review for that... But I wanted to something about this destination as a place to buy things/do tastings. First of all, the store is filled with glass, many different kinds. Some of the glass pieces have funky little defects that make them unique and therefore not retail worthy so they end up in the shop. They have Annieglass (which is handmade in the USA right there in Watsonville), and they also have foreign products that are much more wallet friendly. Ultimately, the work might not be in your taste, but the pieces made there look like they have good heft and durability. Now for the wine tasting, this is definitely a must try. The wine curator lady there is very knowledgeable and knows the good wines. She claims her palate is more of a European style and it lends to some awesome selections like this really lush oaky chardonnay from Beauregard. If they have a tasting event, I would probably go again. The bottles are also very reasonably priced and sometimes they might even have cheese pairings but I can't guarantee that on any given weekend. Anyhow, if you are in Watsonville or just passing through, this is worth a visit. read more

Annie's Glass is more mainstream glassware than it is artistic. The customer service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. They do offer engraving for 25 letters for $10 and over 25 letters for $20. There are many glass blowing art studios in Santa Cruz county so it my simply be the style of glassware that doesn't speak to me. read more

Enjoying a beautiful California day at Annie Glass. Thank you Abby S. for including us in the Yelp Field Trip and for getting us to Annieglass for the Tour and Pour. What a great way to spend our Saturday afternoon! We have passed by so many times wanting to visit the store and tour the production studio. The Tour and Pour was the perfect way to enjoy the story of Ann Morhauser's success and learn about the handcrafted glassware. Upon arriving we were guided on a tour of the production facility from beginning to end and discussed all the details between. We saw first hand how a sheet of crated glass was formed into the many beautiful artisan glass pieces that the company has to offer. We enjoyed a lively discussion about the company's beginnings, successes and what inspires the artist's works. Next, we relaxed and continued our conversation while enjoying wine and cheese pairings of local Santa Cruz wines being poured by Jacqueline Knight. She is very knowledgable and provided information about the great wines and the vineyards that produced them. Last, but certainly not least it was time to shop! It is hard to set someone loose who loves art and glass, in this shop! We browsed every corner carefully and finally decided on a beautiful heart shaped plate, for a 50th birthday gift. If you haven't had the opportunity to visit you should make a point to do so... Free Tours: 11:30 and 2:00 P M Friday and Saturdays and Sundays beginning in May Winetasting: 12 and 4:00 P M Thanks again Ann, Jacqueline and staff for a very fun, informative and inspiring afternoon. read more

Beautiful, beautiful glass items here. All made at this studio location. Pieces made by Annie are signed and dated and numbered. A great place to go for some usable and gorgeous glassware. I bought my mom a platter shaped like half of a mussle, in a beautiful blue glass. I couldn't resist a similar, smaller piece for myself. Until I have an occassion to use it, it's sitting in my display case. So pretty, the craftsmanship is stunning. read more

I just took the tour with Cathleen and had an excellent time. Their process is fascinating and the tour is very interesting and educational. Their products are beautiful and worth the hefty price tag. The wine tasting was fun and I took home the sparkling wine and the pinot. Excellent Sunday afternoon. read more

This artist always brings us unique styles along with quality products that last. I have been given Annieglass for years by my Mom in Love, she has great taste! We spent two hours together this weekend taking a tour of the warehouse where the glass is crafted into lovely pieces of art. It was fun, interesting, and made us appreciate how much love and manpower it takes to make the art, thus the high prices. The lady providing the tour was friendly and did an amazing job explaining the process. The afternoon was capped off with a wine tasting bar to sample some delicious Santa Cruz County wines. I purchased a beautiful butterfly heart shaped bowl to store my rings in while I sleep. This is a must see store and try the tour on Saturdays. read more

Annieglass makes truly 'WOW' gifts. By far my favorite gift especially when you get the piece personally engraved. I have been collecting Annieglass for 5 years now and have several pieces and place settings of different styles. The most amazing table presentations! I'm not sure what I love more, having Annieglass all to myself or giving pieces as ever lasting sentimental gifts to friends and family. My daughter is living in NYC now and her Annieglass was in the first packed box.....don't leave home without it! : ) read more

Nice place to drop by while travelling through Watsonville. Interesting selection of pieces.

We came in to the shop this Father's Day, such beautiful glass work. This is our new favorite store! We loved the oyster dish

Beautiful stuff but really rude employees and terrible exchange policy. Never in my life have I heard of a policy where they won't issue a credit, and instead demand that you take back the item until you are ready to exchange it. What is the difference? They make you exchange it for something on the spot. Absurd. My wife's friends and family spend a ton of money at this place. They should treat their customers better. The guy working the register needs som customer service training. read more
