We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

Prix fixe menus available, either entree or dessert with plat principal or all three together. They have a great charcuterie board, wonderful terrine, and various other starters such as herring. For mains there are a lot of Lyonnaise staples like andouillette, sabodet, rognons de veau, etc, as well as poisson du jour and entrecôte du boeuf. Typical desserts, sorbet (the pear is great), crème brûlée, and the cheese plate of course is wonderful, which is served with a salad. Highly recommend reservations, it's a busy place but the service is always great. The ambiance is classic French, close seating, quaint with drawings on the walls of art you'd expect to buy walking by the Seine in Paris. If you ever find yourself in Versailles you really should consider dining at Le Bouchon du Marche.

I found out recently that they have a new owner with a different menu, and its disappointing, so this review is definitely from prior to the new owners in 2021. I was very happy to find it is still a wonderful place for fabulous French food :) They have a lunch menu for only 17.50 Euros for two courses or 21 Euros for three that will amaze your taste buds! The menu changes daily (as it should), but the day we were there the appetizer was a tuna crudo with cucumbers and radishes, and mackerel with a purée of broccoli and a white nectarine dessert with sorbet that bespoke the perfume of summer fruits. It was a wonderful welcome back to France with friends. We strolled the grounds of the chateau across the street to walk off lunch afterwards:)
