We were a group of friends Touring the streets of Paris and we all craved for authentic Creme' Brulee (French Style). I mean Paris? you gotta have some right? We did our research and found this place. Before heading out to the restaurant, we made sure to call the restaurant and asked. Whoever answered the damn phone confirmed that they did in fact have what we were looking for. So we went! All happy and excited. They sat us down, when they found out that we were just there for some dessert, asked for the wifi code and two of our friends opted out from ordering, because we already had dinner....the bad service started. Clearly they got annoyed, we could tell that they were talking smack about our group (shaking their heads while pointing at our table) because we won't be ordering from their fancy, expensive menu. THEY PULLED US OUT OF OUR CHAIRS AND GOT SENT OUT OF THE RESTAURANT TO TAKE IT TO GO/ take away.
Please tell me, am I hallucinating here? Did we just get treated like shit at this place?. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we are from America on a European tour and we can definitely afford your most expensive meal, am just saying.
We don't take this lightly. And I will make sure that this will be made obvious for other American tourists to know. You might think you have the best food on earth, the best Creme Brulee in the universe, but if you treat tourists like how this place treated us? Forget you.
Tourists, do yourselves a favor and go to the other restaurant right across.. L' Avenue. They might not have the best Creme Brulee in town (well, they actually do) but they welcomed us like real customers, human beings for that matter. read more
