I was disappointed with my experience here. Yes, we went during lunch rush when there was a huge convention in town, but given that the Cannes convention center is apparently the largest in Europe, you'd think they'd be accustomed to high volume. Unfortunately, they seemed ill-prepared.We had a 1:15 PM reservation but weren't seated until 1:45 PM--and only after we grabbed someone's attention and said we were willing to sit outside between two smokers (side note: the smoking culture here is intense). Then it took nearly another 30 minutes to get our food, which we only received after asking where it was.I ordered the truffled pasta. Despite the generous portion of truffles, I couldn't taste any truffle flavor, which was disappointing. We had an hour and a half for lunch but had to rush out to make it back to the conference center in time for our appointment.Perhaps this place is fine during non-peak times, but I'd avoid it when any convention is in town--they clearly can't handle the influx of business. read more

May be because we have been having great meals all week, but this was a disappointment. Touristy spot, inexpensive drinks, food was average quality, nothing special. With a town that has great food everywhere, head everywhere else. read more

The food was great but we were ticked to see that when our bill came, the server conveniently charged us for beer and coffee even though we ordered the daily special that was to include a beer and a coffee. When we asked about that, the server told us that the special only came with a small beer and we had ordered larges. Really?? I think that's the job of the server to make sure details like that are explained while ordering, no? And the fact that she then had to remove the coffee (because she was caught) proved that she either wasn't an attentive server or was trying to rip off the tourists. Either way, this poor experience left us knocking two stars off the otherwise 5-star rating. We had the codfish with chorizo, Caesar salad, daily special ravioli, and tuna nicoise. All were fabulous but I'm told by hubby the ravioli was the absolute best. Great spot for people watching! Just be mindful of what's on your bill. read more

The place was packed a late evening in Cannes, but we somehow manage to get lucky having one of their tables outside by the street. Ambience from the street sets a cool vibe to the place, and the decor inside is very unique. This is a great spot for people watching while enjoying a glas of wine in the heat. But there are quite a few restaurants in the area, so if you dont know, its hard to pick this gem. They offer a pretty straight forward menu with a couple of different dishes to get on with. Service was attentive and we were served quickly although there were plenty of people in the restaurant. I didnt go for a starter, but i had the lamb which was a nicely composed dish. Pricing is fair and you really cant complain about it in the area. For the price and value this is a great deal! Go here and try it out, you will most certainly have a great night! read more

Was a pleasant unplanned stop for food at an odd hour where no one was serving in between lunch and dinner. We had burata salad, beef tartar and bream tartar. Had kids menu and was pleasantly surprised! Service was good and overall pleasant. read more

My 3 star review comes from the atmosphere, quality and service found at Le Cirque. Firstly, the experience started off negative from the poor quality of service from the staff. Circus is a good name for this place to be honest, it was pretty hectic. My girlfriend and I walked in and we're about to be seated but then stopped in order to seat the couple that was before us, fine, that's totally fair and understandable. In the meantime we were seated at the large table inside in order to wait for a table to open up for us to begin our dinner. 2 tables opened up, 4 other couples came in after us. No one was seated anywhere until the 3rd couple that walked in was 'graciously' shown to their table outside (they know the owner? They are regulars? Who knows). The two available tables were left cold without anyone giving direction as to who or what should occupy them. Eventually we got a table after enough eye contact and tracking down 3 separate waiters. Now, I want to point out that the main reason we came here was because this was one of the few (if not only) places with a quinoa salad on the menu. I'm a huge fan of quinoa and have been craving it since we got to Cote d'Azure. So I ordered that, the veal risotto and my girlfriend ordered the tuna tataki (we also got a pair of glasses of the Bordeaux, 5 Stars for the wine). My quinoa left me disappointed, due to it being undercooked. My veal tasted like it came out of the microwave, chewy, and the risotto it sat on top of was soaked in what I think was that microwave water residue that comes from frozen food. My girlfriends tuna tataki was good though, overboard on the garlic but hey, we're in France right? Didn't see the waiter between taking our order, dropping off the food and then picking up the food and dropping off the check. I was really hoping for something much better than what I experienced and maybe a 2nd try will leave me happier but tonight Le Cirque was not Le business. read more
