This was a treat, a short distance from the jardin du Luxembourg. And possibly Paris's best fries!! The servers were nice, and there is WiFi you can connect to. The music and vibes are fun and lively. There's this fun charming youthful and coziness. True to it's name translated to "sweetheart". You'll find giant teddy bears guardians, hosts and as company.

Le Choupinet is French for sweetie or cutie a term of endearment. This restaurant is popular with IG selfie takers who pose with some of the giant size stuffed animal Teddy bear. By the looks of the condition of those teddy bears, I would not touch them, after everyone else has :( Like most restaurants it was busy, but we just wanted to sit for a while to rest from all the walking and decided to just have a little something as we had dinner plans later. Alas, a yogurt parfait mousse and espresso martinis...both Trés Bon! While in Paris in the busy St Michel area, it's nice to pause and sip a drink and do people watching with or without the cute teddy bear Le Choupinet, a fun casual café restaurant. Recommend

We had lunch here and had a lovely salmon and avocado tartar accompanied by a nice rosé! The food was very fresh. We also had Crème brûlée and another dessert both of which were lovely. The service was excellent.

The food and service were excellent. We at outdoors at a cute table. The artichoke was amazing, as was the lentil salad. Also enjoyed poireaux vinaigrette and filet daurade was well prepared.

Stumbled upon this spot after leaving Jardin du Luxembourg and checking out it's fantastic playground. Such a great spot to come to with a hungry family. It's insta-worthy, unique feature of sitting giant bears at your table kept my kids excited and entertained. Our server was great and understanding that we have to feed my youngest daughter her own food due to her food allergies. He recommended the French onion soup which is one of my favorites so I had to try it! My husband got a burger and fries, my oldest daughter got a side salad and fries, and my mom got the goat cheese salad, which I had an opportunity to taste and it was delicious. I wasn't in love with the spinach ravioli because it was heavy on the spinach filling, but the french onion soup totally made up for it. As an appetizer my table split the escargot which I don't care for, but my oldest daughter tried for the first time and liked! Super cute spot! I bet it's pretty popular during the weekends and summer season given it's trendy, fun ambiance, great service, and good food.

The escargots were super good. Very big and would definitely recommend. I don't know if maybe it's because the appetizer was so good that the entree fell flat. We went for lunch and got the croque choupinette and the steak a Cheval. The croque madame was lacking flavor. I also didn't know that the steak a cheval was basically a hamburger patty topped with an egg. It completely lacked salt. The fries were good though. The bears sharing the tables because of COVID were absolutely adorable.

I give this cafe a 4 because of its location and service. It was near our hotel and across from Luxembourg Garden. On a busy street for good people watching. I had breakfast that included fresh croissant with creamy butter. The coffee is good. We came back for lunch and I had coquettes mademoiselle, delicious, I only ate half so this could be split. Our servers were friendly and helpful. Short walk from here up to the Seine and good site-seeing

It can be challenging while traveling abroad to find a restaurant that has a welcoming atmosphere AND food that doesn't disappoint and this little gem does just that! With a creative inviting twist on decor and the friendliest waitstaff you'll be glad you came! Being starving and jet lagged the menu was easy to navigate- even for myself a vegan. The lentil salad was phenomenal and the pasta was perfection. I could die happily swimming in a tub of their espresso and appreciated the details down to the branded cookie. The place is colorfully decorated and can easily accommodate a family or a group of young friends. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner while dinning and his love for people is just as strong as his appreciation for food! Come for the pictures- leave with a happy stomach. I'll be back for sure.

This place is very inviting right on the corner with tons of windows. You're able to people watch, enjoy the good food and take in the gorgeous views around you. The frites were tres good and filling. All in all for 2 people entrees and an Evian glass bottle to share it was around 25 dollars per person. The employees were helpful, and spoke some English. Definitely try ordering in French if you are able to, they were so sweet!

I couldn't tell if this was a real apple or some fancy French creation made to look like one - that's how real it looked! The mousse and apple bits were cold & delicious and the chocolate shell was good, but not sure if it was worth the price at €7.5. + Pain Au Chocolat Cookie - Verrrry good chocolate chip cookie, chocolate croissant mashup. Only thing that we were missing was some good ol' milk! + Almond Croissant - Once again, delicious! Solid croissant and definitely a good grab and go candidate. = Citronnade - Was just OK. Lemonade that was on the watered down side, but was somewhat refreshing because I was dying of thirst. THE SERVICE ----------------------- - Employee who helped us with our order was friendly, but the cashier was a bit blah and not exactly the friendliest person, especially when we asked for extra utensils and napkins. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ - Smallish, tight interior that you can dine in at, but don't be surprised if the next table is sitting on top of you. + There are also 5 outdoor tables on the narrow street. - Entrance is tight too. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------------- + Even though this bakery is ranked highly on Tripadvisor, there was no crowd on the Monday morning that we swung by. We came here for some coffee on a rainy afternoon, but were pleasantly surprised to see escargot on the menu too and figured we'd give it a shot. Coffee wise we got the vienna coffee which had chocolate inside. It was good, with a nice espresso flavor and a huge dollop of whipped cream on top. A nice pick me up for the day. The escargot on the other hand, was so fantastic. They were served all cute in their little shells on a tray, and bubbling when we first got them. The green sauce that they came with was fantastic, and the butter was also a great addition! This made for such a flavorful little bite - escargots taste like little chewy clams to me, nothing strange at all. It also came with a few pieces of baguette to soak up the yummy sauce. Service was friendly and the inside of the restaurant has such a nice vibe. I would definitely recommend this spot!

They have a clean bathroom upstairs, you'll just need to climb the staircase. We ordered the strawberry crepe and duck and asparagus galette bretonne. So there's actually a bit of a difference between a crepe and a galette. Crepes are usually sweet and made with wheat flour, while galettes are usually savory and made with buckwheat flour. Between the two, I enjoyed the strawberry crepe more, the strawberry jam made the crepe a delicious sweet treat. The flavors of the galette weren't as satisfying to my tastebuds, but I still enjoyed it. I would be interesting in trying other galette flavors next time. While my expectations weren't fully realized (I didn't LOVE it), I still enjoyed giving Breizh Cafe a try. We didn't visit enough crêperies on this trip, so it's something I look forward to doing the next time I'm back in Paris!

I had a dessert crepe with bananas and ice cream (think bananas foster, Parisian style) and it was very reasonably priced and delicious.
