One of the best meals of our trip! Such a cute restaurant right in the center of town, great for people watching while enjoying a tasty meal. Service was great - they were on water service & very friendly. The waiter let me taste a few wines before choosing one. The food was absolutely delicious!! I wasn't sure what the black cod camerelle style would be but i tried it per the waiters recommendation and it was sooo good! it reminded me of a miso black cod but maybe a little less sweet. the veggies were yummy as was the eggplant parmesan. i tried the lobster pasta the first time i came here a few years ago and remembered how yummy it was so we came back! i tried the nerano pasta which was out of this world. the chicken looked really good and my dad enjoyed it. my sister really enjoyed the sea bass / bronzino. this will definitely be on my go-to list whenever i come to capri!!! 10/10 oh and they have gluten free bread! read more

The location is lovely and the service was attentive but this place is very overpriced. They start off with charging you a "coperto" cover charge of €6.50. I made the mistake of ordering beef carpaccio as an appetizer at €38. It was completely salty and I could literally taste grains of salt in it. That is a dish that does not need salt at all. I called the waitress over and asked that my main course not be salty and she apologized and basically said I should have sent it back, which I should've, but she blamed the saltiness on the shaved mozzarella cheese on top of it. My main course was tuna and it was also very salty. The person next to me in our group of six ordered a bottle of water and poured about 4 ounces of it in my glass and I was charged seven euros for water, which I got taken off the bill. The other person was also charged, so they double-billed for it. I had asked for a separate check and my tab came to €104 with a glass of prosecco and then the waitress hustles me for a tip which they normally do not do in Italy. So my advice is to check your tab and send your food back if you do not like it. I would not go back. read more

La camerelle is a wanna-be high-end restaurant yet it has average food. The black cod was very fishy and the potatoes/veggies lacked flavor. The potatoes were also very dry. My fiancé got the wagyu steak and thought it was cooked perfectly but it lacked flavor Service was slow and we had to ask for the check three times. This restaurant is by far the best place we've been to in Italy thus far!! Staring with the ambiance and environment it was absolutely incredible. With open windows and refreshing whites it gave a clean and simple yet elegant personality. We loved the comfortable chairs and how it felt so open, every table felt as if you were sitting outside which was perfect for our afternoon in Capri. The service was great as well and they were very wonderful with taking care of us. While the service and atmosphere was top notch what made this place truly notable and a place I would highly recommend was the food! The raw fish of the day was truly vibrant with the purées and incredibly fresh fish. It was exactly what a afternoon out on the town needed. I should also note that the shrimp and lemon pasta was the perfect mixture of fresh and buttery with hints of raw olive oil the pasta truly held beautiful flavor and texture. Overall this place is one of the best places I've experienced from the simple fact that while the service and the environment was wonderful the food truly shined. As it should. Wandering around Capri and found this beautiful restaurant for lunch (honestly, we stopped because it was so hot and they had those cooling fans that felt amazing). Food is good, view and ambiance are nice. The service is absolutely abysmal, one of the worst I have experienced anywhere in Europe. We had no complaints and yet the staff seemed to pay attention to every other table but ours. The food took over 50 mins post order to come out. The manager is useless, provided zero help. I recommend a table on their raised patio (rather than the sidewalk booths) as it provides a nice breeze and excellent vantage point for watching the beautiful people on Capri's main drag come and go! The lovely host without fail always has the biggest smile and has the most infectious positive energy (he's been here for years). Came here in June 2019-Le Camerelle is a great place to people watch as it is situated on a walkway close to the boutiques and a short walk away from the main center so it is always quite peaceful here and the view of the hills is beautiful. I highly recommend dinning outside for lunch or dinner. You are not constantly surrounded by throngs of people during lunch or dinner and the food is very tasty. read more

The food was amazing. I have the eggplant lasagne for my starter and it was delicious. I'm usually not a fan of eggplant or cheese but I truly enjoyed the eggplant lasagne dish! We forgot to make reservations so we went for a walk trying to figure out what to do. We weren't dressed for dinner and asked if we could get a table. The maitre d was very accommodating and said he could seat us right away. We felt underdress for dinner but he assured us that being on vacation in Capri there was no dress code. Recommend this restaurant if you are in Capri. The cuisine allowed variations in food preferences. We chose the Chateaubriand, which melted in our mouths (no need for added sauces offered)! Mashed potatoes were rich and creamy as a chosen side. Music was relaxing and fun. Pablo and Carmen provided excellent service. We relied on good reviews here on Yelp to come here. Sitting in Le Camerelle right now. They brought seafood risotto. It looks beautiful, but when we tried it!... It was inedible, we sent it back. Undercooked rice, the whole thing was extremely salty and seafood dry and hard. Seabass: Dry and almost tasteless, with very dry fried onions. The view from the restaurant is great. The service - excellent. Beer and proseco - fine. Now waiting for the risotto cooked again for us! We regret coming to this place and warning others of really bad quality of food! Come here for a drink and view, but not for food. They just bright back the risotto. It did not change, still undercooked and salty! We are out of here. read more

Go for the fish of the day as its sure to be delicious and fresh. They bring the filet out to you and take the meat off the fish for you. For a starter try their baked lasagna with eggplant. Have surprisingly not been so impressed with the food on the Amalfi Coast so was very surprised to stumble on Le Camerelle and discover the food was delicious. Wonderful atmosphere. Started with the same surly service we have got to expect on the Amalfi Coast but our waiter soon warmed up and was positively charming by the end. The aubergine tomato pasta was sublime. Prices are high. Note they add 6 euros each for service charge and an automatic 15% for service which was the first we'd seen in the area. read more
