Attention travelers to Paris Orly Airport.
My family and I traveled to Europe this past September and the last leg of the trio landed us in Paris from a flight from Rome. Upon arrival at the airport we used Le-Bus service to get to our hotel in Paris. We got off on the first stop (Montparnasse) and when my husband went to retrieve his suitcase from the undercarriage of the bus it was gone. The attendant and driver did not offer any help and just told us to go home and if the luggage was found their office would contact us. When we did arrive at the Marriott Hotel I mentioned it to the concierge. He called their office and we were told to file claim online. We did that with the help of the concierge. Upon arrival back home to the United States I emailed Le-Bus to find out about the status of my claim. I was basically told that I had to have filed a police report in Paris. I was never told that this was a requirement in filing the claim otherwise, I would have done so. This is not fair. All my husband's souvenirs from the countries we have visited prior and most of his clothing were in that suitcase. Needless to say, this was a horrible start to our stay in France. We had visited 5 other countries and several major cities and the only one in which we had trouble was in Paris. Not only did we encounter thieves, but the company that we entrusted our belongings to had the worst customer service ever! Think twice before using LeBus you have been warned. read more
