we bought 20 trips to get around Paris, since we were not staying in the down town area near attractions, The book of 10 tickets is 14.50 euro, we are a family of 3, this was the most direct and inexpensive way to get around. We stayed at the Le meridian etoille hotel nearby the Porte Maillot Metro. Currently the station has started construction and upgrades so getting in and out of the station is somewhat difficult depending on which side of the road you want to be. the staions are very similar to the subways in NYC, yellow line, red line, etc. it is just a matter of having a map via google maps or just a train map. highly recommend traveling this way. Keep in mind trains do not have air conditioner so there is a lot of body odor if you know what i mean. overall a great way to visit many of the neighborhoods in Paris. read more
