So I quickly learned that metro is the way to go - this station was like a 5 minute walk outside the hotel and I was easily able to purchase one-way tickets for anywhere I wanted to go. I found staff helpful when asked questions (only once) or if we needed to purchase from them (again once) and they have clean and on-time trains. Two or three exits make it easier to come out where you need to be.

This station was connected to the M1, RER C & E, and the T3b tram, as well as many bus stops. We were able to get around Paris from one of these lines mostly direct or with a transfer. An average wait would be 3-5 minutes. This station is also super clean. It has restrooms you can access with your transportation card. They even have refillable water stations. So convenient. A great stop to stay by to get around the city for travelers.

After arriving at Charles de Gaulle (CDG) in Paris, France on June 28, 2017, my daughter and I were…read moregoing towards the outside to catch a cab to our hotel. There were tons of people lined up with signs and peoples names on them and then we saw Bernard holding his tablet that said "driver for hire." I quickly asked how much from CDG to Hotel Mercure Eiffel Tower and he said 60 EU. He took our luggage, we walked to his car, which was a very nice, black Mercedes Benz passenger van. This was a wonderful stress free ride to our hotel. I took one of Bernard's business cards & stated that I might utilize him when we needed to back to the airport in a few days. He said no problem to either call or email him. I emailed utilizing Google translate as his English isn't his strong suit and my French, we'll it's non-existent. And actually emailing worked out great! He said he wasn't available himself but he was sending his colleague at the appropriate time and stated it was the same as when he took us from the airport to the hotel (60 EU). I utilized Bernard's car services one more time for round trip from CDG to the same hotel by the Eiffel Tower when we returned to Paris on July 4th 2017 for 2 nights. Again, I set it all up via email using Google translate, he had another colleague at the airport waiting for us. In fact, he was standing there holding a sign with my name on it. I felt so important. ha ha It was a very hot day and upon entering the service car (black Mercedes sedan), there were 2 bottles of ice cold water waiting for us. And then on our return to CDG Bernard was able to drive us himself. All-in-all it was a great experience! Bernard and his team of drivers are polite and professional! I would high recommend contacting Bernard instead of taking the standard taxi from the airport to your final destination. And the reason I say this is because the taxi drivers are crazy, you'll be stressing the entire time you're in their taxi and if you're sitting in traffic not moving the meter is still ticking. With Bernard it is stress free, cautious drivers, professional and it's a flat feet. If I ever make it back to Paris and he's still in business I will definitely contact him again. If you don't speak French too well or at all, you can email Bernard to arrange pick ups. That is what I did after first meeting him at the airport.
