Honestly, I wish the resort would provide a schedule at check-in showing which restaurants are open and closed each night. We ran into that issue with more than one restaurant during our trip. For breakfast, Siete is very much a traditional buffet. There's a large selection, but some of the breads and pastries sit out in the open and can get stale pretty quickly. The omelet stations were one of the better features. They have two of them, which helps keep the lines moving, and there are a ton of toppings to choose from. The omelets were pretty good, although like most omelet bars, they were slightly overcooked. The standout part of breakfast was the fresh fruit and smoothie station. I believe the gentleman working there was named Marco, and he was awesome. He made our smoothies three different mornings and was always energetic, friendly, and happy to help people figure out what flavors would work well together. They had an impressive selection of ingredients too, including things like prickly pear, aloe vera, and other fruits and vegetables you don't normally see at a breakfast buffet. They also have cereal, meats, a Bloody Mary station, and plenty of other breakfast options, so there's something for just about everyone. Service overall was just okay, but the hostesses were really nice and welcoming. Not the most amazing breakfast buffet I've ever had, but it was a solid option each morning, and Marco alone made the experience a lot more enjoyable. I would definitely eat breakfast here again.

Since when do you ever see a fresh smoothie station at a hotel/resort buffet? Shout out to Marco the only staff member at Live Aqua that left an impression on me for being the most genuinely cheerful guy ever. He will concoct something for you if are indecisive and it always comes out great. Very unique ingredients are available to curate your drink ie. cactus, dragon fruit, star fruit, passion fruit. He makes it a show out of making the smoothie too- all the ingredients he uses is always enough for 1 glass with no waste! They have the best fresh juice station as well- papaya, cantaloupe, watermelon-- all so smooth with no pulp. Fresh fruits, so many pastries, churro & chocolate fountain station, Mexican coffee, Mexican breakfast foods- there's something for everyone. Mimosas are also available! Their dinner offerings were lackluster and not that memorable comparable to their breakfast service. Since the size of the Siete was more spacious than their other restaurants, service is also a lot more slower than usual. Would highly recommend dining at Siete for dinner on their Mexican Festivity night at Live Aqua (was on Thursday) the week we were there- they have live music and performance.

Can't ask for a better assortment. The selection of fruit offered is what's in season. I ate a lot of watermelon, papaya, honeydew, guava and grapefruit during my last visit. The Guava was heavenly! I already miss it.. With covid, employees take special care to serve you. They're masked on top of their respective uniforms and protective wear. Food is shielded by plexiglass barriers and only attendants at each station handles the food. Plates are provided at those stations with the exception of a patron handing theirs over, in which case it is received by an attendant, topped with choice of food and handed back. Attendants all wear gloves. Beverages are also provided by servers and whomever is assigned to your table. Ask to try their juices of the day. They're fresh and delicious! My favourites were the green juice, papaya, orange and carrot and a vegetable-fruit mix with beets. Sooooo good! Found it to be very hydrating in hot Mexican weather. There's an early bird special with a Vida card that runs from 7:15-8:15am Sundays through Thursdays where you receive a 25% discount. Averages out to $18 USD/pp and on Fridays and Saturdays, they offer a 2 for 1 breakfast special between 11am and 12pm. Walk-ins only. Capitalize on that, it's worth it! Last year we went to the Seafood on the Beach night. However, I found that for Taco night the prices were too high. Since you can go an across the street at La Isla for more than half the price. When I asked our main waiter what is Mayan food, he took me to the buffet and explained which foods are traditionally Mayan and how they were historically prepared. There were other foods that were more Mexican than Mayan and though delicious wasn't what I was looking to experience that night. As I wandered around the buffet area trying to determine what I was going to eat, more than 1 server asked if they could help me. I just couldn't decide since there were a lot of food options.
