In the corner, there is a mini clothing boutique, mostly workout outfits. The shop is spacious, clean and beautiful. The staff are very nice. The lady who attended my sister was excellent with her work. She was very caring. My sister got her underarms waxed, and her eyebrows threaded. The job was done smoothly and efficiently. The prices compared to Dee's beauty is slightly high but the their work is done better though. read more

I bought a pair of linen pants here last month and went to Miami Beach for 1 week. I wore them as a beach cover up, and walked around town, and sadly, they didn't even last the week. I was sure I'd get an exchange as it had to be a faulty batch, but they said it was a final sale and that nothing could be done. Needless to say, I'm quite disappointed with the service (it was my first purchase and was happy to support local). $100 linen pants aren't worth it and I won't be back. read more

I went for the first time to the Brow Bar to purchase a two piece set that cost me around 60$ and some shorts. The next day I put on the outfit and I realized that it was stained at many different places (like javel was dropped on it). I called the store right away and ask if they could exchange it. She said she didn't have it in stock at the moment and to come back next week. I went back the following week and she just refused to exchange it saying her supplier wouldn't take it back... The girl was extremely rude and just basicaly told me to f*** off the store that there is nothing she could do about it. I even asked if she could just give me a discout and I would buy another one and she refused so i just walked away. It's too bad I was coming to buy more stuff but its the last time this store steals from me. Avoid this place and their shitty products. PS: The owner just sent me a DM on instagram. I am so disappointed to be leaving a bad review for this place. I have been going for years, since they first opened. I had an unfortunate experience for the first time yesterday. I went in to ask for a clean up, and half my eyebrows were threaded off. Their response was "did you ask to keep them thick?", and I was even asked me to show a picture of what they looked like before. The before and after picture is scary, no one could argue with me that my eyebrows were undoubtedly threaded too thin. I posted on my instagram (which is private) to share with my friends, and yet still refrained from saying ANYTHING negative or hateful about brow bar other than the fact my eyebrows were pencil thin and I was super sad about it! My posts explained to my friends that as consumers, we have to be careful and be really vocal about what we want/don't want when getting beauty services done. I shifted the responsibility from only the business, to consumers as well. I didn't even really expect Brow Bar to respond. Their response is why I am leaving this review. They went on to call my comments "hateful", told me not to return to their store, and then blocked me. An incredibly unprofessional response, very... immature? Since when is it okay to ban a customer after leaving a dissatisfied review? Imagine if restaurants did the same? It's laughable! Also FYI, since sharing this experience on social media I have been flooded with OVER 50+ messages from people sharing similar experiences with this business (rude, unprofessional responses from staff and management there). Truly sad about this. My family and I have been going here for years and even buying products from their store that we could easily order online, just to support their business. Conveniently located on the corner of Monkland & Harvard Ave, you can just pop by any time without booking an appointment and wait to get your brows done. The women have mastered the skill of threading and did an amazing job - worth a try for just 6$! the owners are discusting people, who do not deserve to be supported. they scam people with lash lifts and multiple other services. they speak badly about every customer that enters the door and be friend you only to later on scam/steal from you. i am relieved after reading the rest of reviews that i am not the only one who noticed how horrible this place is. they tried scamming me with a roll on perfume that only smelt on the tester and not the actual bottle they were selling me, they overcharge on the bill hoping you won't notice, and discriminate towards certain people. owners insult workers and constantly be little them,u can tell they work in horrible conditions, they r only payed minimum but charge over 40$ per wax RIDICULOUS. rather not support such low businesses. such people should be out of buisness. read more

I usually get my brows done in villeray. Yesterday was gloomy and i didnt feel like going all the way to villeray, but my eyebrows were crying for a thread. So i thought it was the great day to try le brow bar (its at walking distance from where I live). They also sell clothes, masks and other products but thats beside the point. The lady who did my eyebrows was so nice and patient with me(i have very sensitive skin and threading is so painful to me ) but she was so compassionate about that and took her time with me and made sure i was okay. The place is really nice but the lady who did my brows didn't really do a thorough job. I felt like she rushed through it to get customers fast. I had to tell her to redo some parts but still ended up with a sloppy job.. however, really cheap which makes sense for the service given. Would not waste time in here again read more

Tried to support a small business by ordering through the online store. Paid for the order and received the confirmation, which indicated it would be processed within 24 hours. Waited 8 days to realize I never received a shipping confirmation. Emailed the info@lebeautybar.ca email to try to see what was up. Didn't hear back. Submitted a ticket through their ticketing system (as instructed in their order confirmation). Didn't hear back. Waited another week to send another email. Waited because it was over the weekend but still heard nothing back on Monday. Reached out on their Instagram account too. Thus because it had been two weeks I had to dispute the charge. Then the item finally shipped and the place emailed me indicating it was inappropriate to dispute the charge and rather I should reach out to the store - which is laughable considering how many attempts I made. I even called the number after receiving the email (as advised in the email) only to have the friendly staff indicate that the person handling online orders is not in. I recognize it is COVID and things are backed up, but for all other small (very small) Canadian shops I've made online purchases at during this time, they have actively reached out to advise of delayed wait times. Needed my brows done last minute and this place did the trick! No appointment needed when going for eye brow threading. The girl who did my lashes didn't over thread & was really helpful when choosing the colour to put on as a tint. The wait time was very short (which is always nice when it's walk in) the place was very modern and clean considering how busy they are. The location is perfect but it take a bit of looking to find it because the business is almost in a basement. $6 for brows and $12 for a tint. Will go back! read more

Brow Bar is a tiny spot where the rude staff sell over-priced products. The lady and her two daughters WISH they could be as boogie they pretend to be. They do not welcome customers when they walk in and will ignore customers waiting to pay when they're too busy trying to pretend they're busy. I waited in line to pay for eight minutes while the older lady tended to put in "gifts" in her clients bag, which happened to be some Montreal girl with a lot of Instagram followers. The fake-nice attitudes and valley-girl accents from the staff are beyond. Even the dad who works at Monkland has no problem speaking loudly on the phone how "he got wasted last night". I used to think the products they sold were legit, but none of the staff know a darn thing nor are they qualified to give any type of skin care recommendations. Still, I went to Brow Bar because the trip to Dees in Park Extension seemed so far. The girls who do eyebrows, however, are very nice and do a good job but not as good as Dees. I despise and avoid going to Brow Bar unless its an absolute necessity and HAVE to go, and when I do I cant wait to get my eyebrows done and GTFO. read more
