So many products! So many brands! It's like a bookstore where I can spend the whole day! My go to brands are Makeup Forever, Bobbi Brown and Benefits. Since I am a VIB member; I get to have a free customized makeup. My vacation is almost over... one beautified makeover to be done. My makeup was done by Kevin. Simple but s nice glowing makeup he put on me. My face does not feel heavy with all the products that were put on me. Thanks Kevin and Sephora for the wonderful time; I learned a lot few tricks!

Wish there were more of these stores in downtown Montreal and less construction. Sigh. Construction Season in the summertimes in Montreal are a real nightmare. My recommendations to those who get your makeup professionally done here is very simple. The heavily drawn and colored in eyebrow does NOT work on caucasian faces or rather extremely white faces. That huge eyebrow look is in right now and has been popularized by the likes of Kim Kardashian. But if you have extremely delicate features ... do NOT fall for this trend. You will look like a clown if you do. This is not a racist suggestion, this is a tip for you after having makeup done for me professionally for 20 years. If you are a Latin person, get a Latin makeup artist. If you are a African person, get an African makeup artist. If you are Caucasian person. Get a Caucasian makeup artist. If you are Asian person, get an Asian makeup artist.. Understand what I am saying here ? Don't waste your valuable time & money on a makeup artist who doesn't have YOUR exact skin. There are too many differences in makeup requirements because of skin color and type of features on face.

This Sephora is on the smaller side compared to others in the US that I've been to. It still carries a decent selection of makeup but the skin care, fragrance and hair care selection is a little limited. It can get really busy, and during peak times it can be tough to get someone to help you which gets frustrating. Whenever I've made appointments for make up consultations I've been very pleased, they always listen to what you want and I was happy with the look I got and the products recommended. There's also not a lot of pressure to buy things after a make up application which is nice.

The fact that this spa is on a boat and half of it was outdoors was the appeal! So we booked just the water circuit (no extras, just saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs) to see if this was even something we'd like. Turns out the December visit was the way to go! It wasn't packed at all, and turns out that sitting in a hot tub while the snow falls on your face is actually a top ten life experience. It was cold as heck out, mind you, but somehow you never feel chilly when you're going in and out of saunas and hot tubs. I did wish some of the relaxation rooms were a bit warmer, or there was an ability to swap out a soaking towel at some point, but I was never uncomfortable. Everything was clean and people around us were respectful. I loved the no phone policy and definitely chilled out to staring into this strangely brutalist bay. David Lynch relaxation vibes. The best was the floor where you could sit in a porthole window -- only wish we had discovered it earlier! I would totally come back here and check out some of their other offerings. Dunno, might even aim for a winter trip again because it was just that nice!

Listen...I can admit it...I fell for their amazing online marketing. Once I booked my trip to…read moreMontreal, I would get ads, reels and TikToks on this place ALL the time. Finally I gave in and booked a day there for 3 of us on a Saturday afternoon. A spa experience on a boat on the water -- sounds amazing! I should have noticed on their website that they offer all sorts of discounts, etc to NOT go on the weekends. Why? Because it gets PACKED. Seriously packed. You feel more like cattle than a person enjoying rest and relaxation. Plus, I remember seeing they had a quiet section, but when I booked through the phone, their associate told me not to worry there is only a small portion that is a quiet section and then they have an outdoor section where guests can talk freely. Terrific because I knew we gals wanted to chat throughout the day. Well, we checked in and headed down to their locker room, which felt like a combo of a high school locker room in a basement, and we had to duck around the other guests and try to quickly change and head back up. We decided to go to the jacuzzi outside and even though it was raining, a jacuzzi looked like it would be heavenly. We got in and even though it was full in there, we started commenting on how nice it is. Some of the women already in there started fidgeting and then the next thing we knew the staff was coming over to us and reprimanding us for talking. We had no idea we had somehow wandered into the quiet zone but we quickly left and headed to the talking permitted section. That area felt like a Las Vegas day pool area -- lots of people everywhere. Every chair, lounge area, etc taken. We didn't stay too long there either. Then it was time for the massage. I had a therapeutic massage with tiger balm and it was probably one of the best massages I've ever had. That is truly the only redeeming part of the experience. On the one hand, I'm glad we went so we could have our own firsthand experience there, but also on the other, we still wound up getting massages in our own hotel two days later because we really wanted to have a relaxing experience while on vacation. Lesson learned!

You want professional quality hair cutting scissors? Name your price range, he will pull out a black sheath like chefs use for their knives and let you take your pick. You want dry shampoo? The store is piled with boxes like crazy so it's best just to chat with the owners about what you need and he will navigate the maze and find it for you. This is a family run business operated by an uncle and nephew and they really know their product, super worth a visit if you're into this stuff for personal fun and want to save some money, or if you're a stylist starting out and keeping your costs low. They obviously don't stock every brand and when it comes to the product that works best for you they may not have what you need, it seemed like they focused more on the less expensive versions of popular product, but a lot of the time that is going to be exactly what you need without the markup for hype, so personally I was really excited to finally open my eyes and realize that this gem was in front of me all along.
