Fun Spotify playlists in the background, and cute eucalyptus hanging from the wall! You can even grab a cup of tea. The shop is shared with a local female tattoo artist that does lovely line art tattoos. The nail salon owner is constantly trying new non toxic products! Disclaimer, if you are wearing gel she can take it off with acétone. Lots of super trendy colors from non toxic brands like Butter London and Ten over Ten. She uses amazing local crèmes and exfoliants as well! I got a mani pedi and with tip ended up paying ~75$ It is more expensive than a normal nail salon. However, I found that my mani lasted a long time, and the vibe made up for it! Also to note that this is a place to go and chill, and take your time. You will not end up having a quick in and out experience. I would plan on spending approx 2 hours here if you are getting a mani pedi to make sure everything dries well.

I came in near the end of their shift, not being from Montreal, I didn't want to have to go driving around to find another place, but the took me in and did a great job of my nails. They were really meticulous about getting all the dry skin and cleaning up my cuticles. Loved it! Probably not the biggest selection on colours still a good variety and I was able to find something I liked. Make sure to bring cash, cause they don't take plastic!

We sat in these ULTRA comfy chairs while Laura and Mireille did our pedicures. We chatted a bit, they offered us water, tea and coffee. They are so kind, tedious and attentive. My feet felt amazing afterwards and although we just did a classic pedicure, the nail polish is so shiny just like a shellac pedicure! We hadn't brought sandals because the weather was cool so they used a special machines to dry our toes to make sure our nail polish wouldn't get ruined in our shoes. They even offered us "to go" flip flops that we could return whenever we wanted! I highly recommend this salon. We had such a nice time, it was calm and we didn't feel rushed at all even though they were running a bit behind that day. Our pedicure was $55 tax included and they gave us 10% off to apologize for the wait (which really wasn't long!).

Big velvet chairs, lots of plants, big bright windows with pops of rich greens and purples. Still, I wasn't tempted enough yet to venture in. Then I ran into a wise hippie witch friend who I was surprised to find was on her way to Peaufiner to get her nails done. She told me that all their products are natural, organic, and as vegan and local as possible. Hello. This feels like real indulgence and self care to me, and I'm happy to pay what it's worth. Turns out, it was a wonderful experience all around. The super smart tough cool lovely women who own this biz are fun to hang out with and great at their jobs. My nails are still perfect, and I went back the next day for a blow out (which I had literally never done) and I didn't end up looking like not-myself, just a polished version of me who is attempting a little more self-care while I get all fat cooking this tiny human.
