First of all, I just want to mention that I'm surprised their yelp presence is so small; I found…read morethis place from their near perfect rating on both google and Facebook, and I'm happy to say that I completely agree. Jenya is absolutely amazing, and I'm in love with her work. I just finished my second microblading appointment here (the touch-up), so I'm writing this with my new set of angry brows. For those who aren't familiar with the microblading process, the procedure consists of two sessions. You pay for both (the price of the second is technically included) after the first appointment. The first session takes about 2-2.5 hours, and the clinic takes their time to explain the steps to you very well. You tell Jenya the style you prefer, and she gives suggestions based on your face shape and her experience. The actual microblading doesn't hurt that much since they first apply an anaesthetic on your brows for about 30 minutes. The first time I saw my brows after microblading, it was honestly a bit shocking, even after I was told that they would initially be very bold. However, exactly like they said, the colour faded to about 50% after a week. I was pleased after that week (a little panicked during the week), and I know that I'll be happy after this week. Despite my scheduling hassles, they handled booking extremely well. It's essential that you book well in advance, since their schedule is full for two months. I asked them to call whenever they had a free slot, so I got my appointment and touch up a lot faster than I expected. Thank you so much, and I'll be recommending this place to all my curious friends!

The Jean Talon salon is one of my quickest place to do my eyebrows treading. There are many technicians, and each of them their ways. Some are excellent, they do their job diligently. Some are horrible, they rip your skin off. No wonder, the prices are not so high. Overall, it is fast, you can drive by, and make a stop and get your job done like, eyebrows threading, waxing and more. Payments easy with interact.

This is a place where you walk in, take a number and wait until you are called. Once you are called, you are directed to an attendant who will then ask what you need done. Eyebrows are by far the most popular service here but they have a whole slew of waxing and threading services including full leg, full Brazilian, full arms even your bellybutton if you need it. Get all your stuff done and then the girl who's done the waxing or threading on you will hand you a receipt which you then take to the front cash and pay and you're out the door as hairless as Barbie. The prices here are unbeatable most beauty salons charge at least $50 to $60 bucks for a full-leg waxing. Here, they charge you $20 flat. Other beauty salons charge you at least $45 for full Brazilian. Here they charge you $20 flat. Eye brow threading is about five dollars. One of the things that used to drive me crazy was how expensive beauty services in Canada are and how dirt cheap it is in other parts of the world like Turkey or India. There, they understand good grooming is important and non-negotiable and essential so that's why it's affordable to everybody. Here on the other hand it's considered a luxury service and that's why prices are ridiculous at other salons. Not anymore. Come to Dee's Beauty, save money and walk out looking like a million bucks. They already have 5 locations on the island but they definitely need more.

0 stars. I am truly traumatized. The worst experience I have ever had at a salon. DON'T BE FOOLED…read moreBY THEIR FANCY INTERIOR DECOR. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL AND THEY OVERCHARGE PEOPLE. THERE ARE BETTER SALONS IN MONTREAL, THIS ONE IS NOT IT!!! The woman who did my toes and nails, her name was Toktam Kazemi. She's apparently the "nail technician" over there. I have never been more upset in my entire life. I first started with my toes. She was very aggressive and not at all gentle. It actually hurt so much but I thought maybe that's how it's supposed to be? I gave her the benefit of the doubt. She couldn't even give me the straight square shaped nails I asked for which is a pretty basic simple nail shape. I came in the afternoon on a rainy Thursday and there were no customers, there was no need to rush but this woman was rushing through it all. Must have been why she suggested I do an express pedicure with regular polish because it is faster than long lasting gel polish. I thought whatever. She made me get up from my seat to get my nails done EVEN THOUGH MY TOES WEREN'T DRY. Oh and by the way, not only was the shape off, but when I got home, I saw that the nail polish was stained too. But that was only the tip of the iceberg. Then the real nightmare happened, getting my acrylics done. I had asked to do a pretty sunset ombré which consisted of the three main colours. Orange, yellow, pink. They did not have yellow. Or even the pink needed for a sunset. What kind of nail salon doesn't have yellow??? A primary colour? I settled for a nice mint blue but they didn't have that either. They had aqua blue and the shimmery blue that I settled for. She then began using the electric drill file machine to thin my nails after filing them which again, not at all gentle. SHE DRILLED SO FAR SHE CUT MY SKIN OPEN. SEVERAL. F-ING. TIMES. My thumb, my index finger, my ring finger, everything but my pinky on both hands. I WAS BLEEDING. SHE DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE ???? I told her she was hurting me and she apologized and put hand sanitizer on my bleeding fingers and put pressure on it with tissue. My fingers were BURNING in pain. She then decided to do a "faster" method of doing my acrylics set. Using a powder and glue method. She would take some powder with a cuticle pusher and put it on my nail. Then she would use the cuticle pusher to push on my finger so the remaining powder can fall off. She hurt me again. It felt like she was stabbing my fingers with the cuticle pusher. She even asked if she was hurting me, apologized and CONTINUED. She then realized how incredibly slow this method was and started rushing even more. She messed up countless times. It was genuinely embarrassing. The worst part is that the amount of powder she put on the nails were so off. Certain nails looked thicker and other thinners. It wasn't equal at all. In the midst of this nightmare, she called over her co-worker who she was talking to this the entire time while doing my nails as if she was doing a good job in the first place. They kept talking in Persian and they kept side eye-ing me as if I was blind and I wouldn't realize they were talking sh*t about me. I don't understand Persian but I understand body language. Her co-worker suggested I do "gel polish" because I could "change colours". Sweetheart, that's not what I came here and booked you guys for. I requested acrylics and that is what I am getting. Nobody asked for your two cents on this. She clearly wanted to make her friend's life easier even though her friend was clearly traumatizing mine after hurting me so so so many times. After 2 WHOLE hours, of doing a simple nail colour, no design needed. She finally went on to put the rhinestones. She failed to centre them like I wanted her to and SHE BLAMED ME. I addressed the issue and instead of fixing it, she said and I quote "It is too late now, you should've seen it and told me" ???????? THIS IS YOUR JOB. I AM PAYING YOU TO DO THIS. YOU ARE THE ONE USING YOUR EYES. TO LOOK AT MY NAILS WHILE DOING THEM. Unless she's blind, then that's another story. After glueing the rhinestones on my hands, SHE GOT GLUE ALL OVER MY HANDS. I have posted the pictures below to prove that. It was hard glue that refused to come off even after I've washed my hands THREE times. She then took acetone to try and get it off. I asked her coworker how long it would take to get this off, she said 2 DAYS. 2 DAYS??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Am I a joke??? I made sure to give 0, ZERO, tip. I am never coming back and I will be filing a complaint. That's $150 gone to waste. Down the toilet. Oh and another thing, when I got home, I noticed my nails weren't even the same size nor shape FOR ANY OF THEM.

Spotted this nail salon at the end of December. Conveniently located inside Alexis Nihon, across…read morefrom Pharmaprix. I could not recall what type of store resided there before. Bah well, couldn't have been successful. My regular nail technician is away for one month so I decided to try a new nail salon. I booked my nail appointment at 8 p.m. since they are open during mall hours, conveniently 7 days a week. I had on shellac nail polish and wanted a simple change color. I cannot recall the woman's name who I sat with to remove my nail polish. She removed my color and filed down the nails which took one hour. Yep, ridiculously long. She claimed the color was not coming off with the acetone. They still use cotton balls and cover it with foil. This method is old school and it's been a few years since I've had the polish this way. I asked her to file my nails into almond shape, unfortunately she was not familiar with this shape and made them round. She was nice and everything, just that nails was not her main service. I asked her to stop when she did 2-3 and told her I'll ask Nora to try shaping them. Once Nora was available, she attempted to file my nails into the almond shape I asked for. She did not quite file them as I was expecting - it was still more round shaped. I asked to use her file and did my left hand. She saw the shape and copied it onto my right hand. She was very pleasant and accommodating which was appreciated. I chose Opi "Don't cry over spilled milkshakes" which is a beautiful translucent white. She applied two layers and suggested she apply a third layer to break it up. Her suggestion was perfect since the outcome is exactly what I was looking for. The third layer was CND "Romantic." I tipped her 20% for her service and staying so late. Once I paid, I ended up leaving at 9:50 p.m. The decor is lovely, it's bright and cozy in there. There are three nail stations and three pedicure stations. I saw two arm chairs in front of mirrors, it could for threading and eye lash extensions. 4 stars for the slow and long nail polish removal process. Overall, the experience ended up meeting my expectations, it was on account to Nora who was calm, pleasant and polite throughout.

For those who are not aware eyebrow treading has been practice forever in India and the surrounding country. I first saw that while living on the west coast where it is now very popular. It gives a result far more natural than waxing and it's quick. While treading is gaining popularity in Montreal it's still limited. Also, many places specialize in just treading and do it too quickly and without paying attention to making a perfect result. On the contrary, Amy is very skillful and takes her time with her customers to give extraordinary results, mixing trading for the general line and plucking for touch-ups. You always feel welcome in her cozy salon and you can wait while enjoying a complementary tea. Amy is very warm with her clients and as a result the small place is very popular and packed so you should absolutely make a reservation. This is a full service salon so you can complement your visit with an hair cut or facial if you feel like it. Price are quite inexpensive and she accept Interact but no credit cards. A must visit place.
