Traditional baguette

OMG let the bakery battle of Aquidneck commence! After finishing a quick Sip and Savor 5K I had a hankering for some bakery goods. As I pulled up to the Polo Center shopping area I saw the line out the door and knew I was in for a treat! This small bakery packs such a punch with selection and deliciousness! Grabbed a few of the menu quiches and a traditional baguette to use later (bread fiend here). The service was exceptional and efficient as the line quickly moved and the selections available were plentiful. Do not pass this location up if you want to enjoy a small French bakery that hits the spot!! I could have easily purchased one of everything there as it all looked sooo good!! 3% charge for card use so bring cash if you want to save a few penny's as well!

Wow! Absolutely incredible - we had to come twice on our 4 day trip to Newport! The baked goods were incredible - my favorite was the almond/apricot tart. The owners favorite was the pan aux raisin so we got that to try at their recommendation and it was very moist and delicious. even though I don't love raisins, I still appreciated it and it was still a favorite amongst our group. Very cute cafe - you walk in an order but don't expect to sit anywhere. We got our order and went back to our hotel to eat. This is also just a bakery, so pick up coffee elsewhere! The staff are super sweet and go over any questions as well as provide recommendations.

Stood in line outside like a sucka at 6:45am. I cldnt even sleep properly the night bfore bc i was so excited to wait in this line and get these for whatever reason.... Absolutely not mad about it, this was great.... The baguettes still dont have that light crispiness that seems to only b possible in france but i still thoroughly enjoyed. The croissants were all yum and my fav was prob the classic, which was doughy and flavorful. The myrtille blueberry surprised me, the berries and the jam were both delectable. Will these outdo the dozens i consumed for one euro each in paris prob no but i will say they r doing amazing stuff in this lil strip mall in middletown ri and now im gonna b on the hunt for french bakeries in nyc

Wow, this might be the most average croissant I've had in my life. Even the Costco ones are better than this. I stopped by this place, because a friend highly recommended it. My understanding is that they open at 7 AM, and close when they sell out. That said, their "official hours" are said to be open until 11 AM. Both the regular croissant and the chocolate one are nothing special. I've had better and much more fresh croissant off a random shop walking around Amsterdam. Maybe I should've tried something else instead? Free parking is always nice.

You definitely have to show up early, a little before open to get in line, but really great pastries. Definitely will come back!

Upon entering you are transported to a traditional French Artisan Bakery with the smells of fresh bread wafting through the air. The owner greets you at the counter along with the sight of delicious French pastries in the pastry window... if there are any left! Opening early, this specialty bakery is only open until then sell out! Get there early for an amazing selection! The taste is worth it and so far this is the only bakery in Middletown that has that traditional European flavor. The only thing that could make it better is a European cappuccino to pair with my chocolate croissant This was my second time there and this time I toted my two littles beings it was spring break! The owner was so kind to them and shared a sample of some hazelnut/ chocolate bread-- they LOVED it! We will be back and will be sharing with all of our guests this summer!

We were visiting Newport, and while I was scrolling Instagram, I happen to see one of my favorite pastry chefs from Philadelphia, visiting this shop. I immediately messaged her to ask how long the wait was, as that was the only thing keeping me. She told me to get there fast as they sell out, and indeed, I was glad I went at 8 AM on Saturday, as by 10 AM on Sunday, they had sold out of everything except baguettes. The croissants here are really good and they make their own almond filling. Our group was particularly impressed by their carbon baguettes, which was chewy and complex with the perfect balance of sea salt on top. I also encountered a French family coming in - a mom with her three boys - who spoke to the owner exclusively in French and picked up a giant order of baguettes and croissants. Being in the shop felt like being in France for just a bit of the day. I would try the roule pistache next time!

Delicious almond croissant. We also got a baguette to go. Very fresh and yummy! We arrived on a Sunday around 9am and they were already running low on a lot of items so I'd recommend going early!

Should you find yourself near Newport, you must stop here! In the morning, we found ourselves glued to the single counter of delicious baked goods. It's quiet inside, but the staff is read to answer any questions we had. I'm so happy we stopped in, as this is the best quality French bread and worthy of savoring. I only bought a quarter of their fruit-filled country bread and I'm deeply regretting it. The natural leavening and mix of rye with whole wheat is so tasty and doesn't sit heavy, like so many other breads. We stopped in for breakfast and my friends bought their filling croissants and pain au chocolats. As we were heading to the beach, the owner offered to slice the country bread for us. We stopped to pick up some cream cheese to eat on the bread. Although, honestly plain this was perfect. The baker behind the counter told me that I should take it home and freeze the pieces individually. Then turn the oven on to 350 and sprinkle with some water just before warming it up. She said that the bread would taste freshly baked. She was not wrong! I will be dreaming of this bread for months!
