Great pastries and bread here, at very reasonable prices. You need to go early-ish to have a good selection because the specialty-type breads and odder-flavor pastries (guava, etc) sell out fast. And that guava flavor pastry I mentioned? Eyes-closed bliss. So wait until you've arrived at your destination to do justice to your desserts! If you are looking for turnovers you have found a slice of heaven. Some of the best I've ever had. However, the bahn mi is the real star of the show. Le Bakery's style is more classical French than Vietnamese. The breads and pastries are for sure. The French bread is definitely old school French. It is good loaf at a fair prices. Problem is I would also like the banh mi style loaf. I understand they are not marketing themselves in that way--exactly. Or maybe just hipstering up the sandwiches a bit. Vietnamese French bread loaves are a little thicker with the same great flavor and texture as the classics. So who's complaining? A classically trained baker. But let's not split hairs. The product here is very good. The pastries are fantastic. The yucca coconut cake is divine as in get two or more cause you will kick yourself if you don't. Although I think this shop has a small identity crisis because on one hand they sound and look classical French, but on the other they trend Vietnamese but don't quite carry a great selection of the Asian cultural product--I still enjoy the quirkiness. read more

This is an good bakery, which I would definitely recommend. But, their items range from really good to definitely not so great. The turnovers, breads, pastries are all excellent. The cinnamon rolls and pecan rolls are definitely a don't bother. They're more like something you get pre-packaged right off the shelf at Walmart. They have an excellent pork pie, which is a savory turnover that makes a great lunch. Steam buns are also delicious. Excellent pastries and their sandwiches are exceptional. This is a must visit in Biloxi. I also love their King Cakes during Mardi Gras. So fresh and baked daily. The Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of their customer service. There is one particular server that is extremely impatient and has gotten rude on more than one occasion. I also did not like having to pay for my order over the phone when I called in and ordered because there was an up charge for an over the phone order. The staff is friendly and efficient. Service has been quick, even though they can get busy especially during lunch hours. Aside from the popular Bánh mì, among my favorites are coconut yuca pie and steamed pork buns. The smoothies with tapioca pearls (bubbles) are refreshing choice during summer months. I've been going to Le Bakery for six years now, and wish I would have known about this gem sooner. The food is always exceptional, a very good bang for the buck. In six years and hundreds of visits we have NEVER gotten bad food one time. The owners/staff are a wonderfully friendly family, will make great recommendations if you ask, and make custom orders for cakes, pies, and specialty/holiday orders of rolls, croissants, herb breads, and pasteries. My favorite light(ish) lunch while on the Point is a patè choux (turnover pastry filled with pork and sautèed veggies) and avocado bubble tea. I am a regular, but by the time I had made that order a half-dozen times, they all knew my name and my favorite way to have the bubble tea without my having to say it. By the way, because I order my smoothies way less sweet than most folks do, I know for a fact that Le Bakery uses fresh fruit in their smoothies, because the fruit flavor isn't drastically diluted like it would be with a powder. Do not believe for one second that they use powders in their fruit smoothies, the rich flavor says otherwise. read more

Yum yum yum. A great tofu po'boy -- one of the few veg sandwiches you can get in Biloxi. Authentic French bread (crunchy exterior; light and fluffy interior) with flavorful, well fried tofu. It's hard to find a place that gets tofu's texture right in the US, let alone the South, but they've nailed it. Love the refreshing mix of pickled vegetables and herbs as well.
