I had never been here before and really wanted a drink like I'd get back home in Virginia. I tried to order a honeydew milk tea made with black tea and not jasmine. He said they couldn't do that and just looked at me instead of providing me other options. I'm not sure why they couldn't add milk, but it is what it is. I ended up getting a black tea with honeydew syrup. I didn't enjoy it and did not want to keep drinking it. The pearls they had were nice however, and I liked the ice that they used. My husband got a guava milk tea and it was overpowering and I absolutely would not order that again. My kiddo got a lychee and she barely made a dent in it. Pretty frustrating given what we paid. Not sweet really. Coconut mocha was a nice alternative to my usual Vietnamese iced coffee. I first tried Bambu from my nail tech when she brought in the peach fruit tea one morning. It was so delicious so I had to come to Bambu and experience it for myself! Let me tell you, Bambu is the most adorable little spot conveniently located in a plaza right on the main road. There's plenty of parking as well. When I walked into Bambu, I was pleasantly surprised. The decor is so happy and inviting and so are the staff! I however, was not prepared to be met with such a vast menu! I was truly blown away by all of the amazing drinks and treats they have to offer! They have Mochi galore in every flavor you can imagine! Typically only found in bigger cities, bambu has made it to our small town here on the coast! when we visit Houston, we usually make a pit stop to grab a smoothie or one of their Che (Vietnamese desert) A group of us came here for the first time on a Sunday right after lunch and didn't run into any wait issues. Since they're newly opened, I was expecting there would be a wait but we got our order pretty quickly. I'm not a big che fan but hubby is and my friends were - all good feedback on the che, fairly close to what it tasted like in Houston. The selection of different bubble teas to che (Vietnamese dessert drink) is one to definitely try but we decided on the coconut lovers che and the fruit combination che with a pandang waffle. The che was good but the cup does not allow for much enjoyment. The small opening that was provided was hard to eat into with the cuts of the fruit being inconsistent. The flavour was good, but it could be better excuted. For the pandang waffle, the flavour and size was appropriate but not filled. When you break the waffle down, it was barely filled. I always stop here to get a certain type of Che...it's like a dessert pudding but with different textures. For example the Suong Xa Hat Lui is my fav! It basically translate to "agar pomegranate seed." There are no seeds in the actual dessert. It consists of mung bean paste, layered with different types of agars, pomegranate seeds (made of water chestnut and tapioca flour) and topped with sweetened coconut milk. I ordered my usual, which is a number 10 (Bambu's Favorite) and an order of pandan waffles. Little did I know until I got back to my hotel room that my waffles were burned to a crisp and were extremely crunchy. Correct me if I'm wrong but pandan waffles are meant to be soft and chewy since it contains tapioca starch. At the very least, a bitch crispy on the outside while maintaining a soft and chewy inside. That was not the case... At the Bambu location in Minneapolis, this would be unacceptable and would not serve the order until it's properly made. Let's touch on the drink (#10) quick, all the toppings are a bit overdone, either oversoaked or overcooked. It could've been better. read more

I can't believe we finally have a Bambū in MS! This store is conveniently located across from Super Walmart in Diberville,MS. This store is nice and clean. My boyfriend and I LOVE the #10 Che, which has panda jelly, grass jelly, and red tapioca that is filled with coconut milk. I have also gotten the Avo-durian premium smoothie and it is by far the best one I have ever had! It's an avocado and durian smoothie with bits of durian in it too. My boyfriend has also gotten the Mango dazzle smoothie and that was very rich and creamy. We are addicted to Bambu and can not wait to try the rest of the menu!
