They could have charged me the damn bond, but instead, they shared with me that after getting in contact with the county jail that my family member would be getting out as early as the next morning, so even if we posted bail that night, it would take 8-12 hours...pretty much the same time as they were saying he might be released anyway. (btw did you know that Martinez has the slowest response time in the STATE?!--I learned that from the bondsman too). I have a 5 year old son. My brother is 23. We three live together, and I've been raising my son as a single father while simultaneously raising my brother since he was 13 due to some very unfortunate circumstances involving our parents. Last month, my brother had a mental breakdown. Because of some very unforgiving and unempathizing neighbors, the police were called to investigate some loud noises.
